There were a few minor operational issues during breakfast, but the friendly and attentive service more than made up for them, so it was not a problem at all. The Facility and staff in each section were also excellent, and this is an Accommodation I would recommend to others.

I visited again for the first time in 10 years. This is an Accommodation I used to visit occasionally in summer since childhood, and over the years I noticed changes with the times—such as the former dining area with live fish tanks and the sushi restaurant being gone, while Rooms with open-air baths have been added. Just as I remembered, the pool where small children can play safely and the wonderful sea—where you can see fish swimming even close to shore—are still there, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crystal-clear water. It’s a fantastic environment for a family summer trip. The nighttime Tsunoshima tour was also memorable; the guide’s explanations were detailed and very interesting. Highly recommended.

This was my first stay. Women can choose from several colorful yukata, and dinner included Yamaguchi’s specialty, fugu tempura—beautifully presented, generous in portion, and excellent. The Onsen alternates between men and women, so we were able to use both baths. The Room was spacious enough for two people, allowing us to relax comfortably. The staff were also wonderfully attentive. I would like to stay again when I’m in the area. Thank you very much.

I stayed at this Accommodation as the destination for a long solo road trip. The exterior and interior have a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere—there’s even a barbershop inside the Hotel—and it feels like a dignified, classic Hotel from a good old time. Even the low ceilings, typical of older Hotels, felt comforting and relaxing. As for the Room itself, some furnishings do show their age, but everything was well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, which gave me great peace of mind. I used the top-floor restaurant for breakfast; even the retro chairs were carefully cared for, and you can really tell they’re valued and kept in good condition. The bathroom facilities were well maintained and clean, and things like the air conditioner controller had been updated to be easy to use today. And the in-room TV was a 50-inch smart TV—perfectly comfortable for me since I travel with a Fire TV stick. I enjoyed streaming without any cut-off screens late into the night. Because of work I haven’t been able to travel as often lately, but when I finally managed to make time and plan this trip, choosing this Accommodation as my destination was absolutely ideal. Breakfast was as satisfying as others have written—I ate too much. Newly built Hotels are all modern and spotless and tend to grab your attention, but keeping an older Hotel’s furnishings clean, beautiful, safe, and in good condition takes steady behind-the-scenes effort from the staff every day—and that’s when you truly see what hospitality is all about. If I have another chance, I’d love to visit again with staying at this Accommodation as my main purpose. Thank you very much for such a comfortable stay.

Compared with my previous stay, the Room was much cleaner. The toilet is still old, but it has a washlet, and the air-conditioning and lighting are brand new, which was great. As for the meals, everything was fresh, and the fish and sushi were very delicious. For breakfast, I would prefer the dried fish to be grilled for guests rather than having to grill it myself. Overall, both the Facility and dining have improved a lot and it was very good. If there were chairs in the Room, it would be perfect.

The staff were very kind, and the beach right in front was beautiful. Since it was my first time, I stayed at a different luxury hotel within the resort the next day. While it had a luxurious feel and was nice, I loved this beach so much that I came back here the following day. The weather was great, and I enjoyed wading into the sea up to my knees—it felt wonderful. Next time, I'll stay at this hotel for a multiple night stay! Having two bedrooms in the room along with a microwave and washing machine was very convenient. The bathtub is only available as an outdoor jacuzzi, so on windy or cold days it might be slightly inconvenient; however, overall my stay was comfortable. I joined the morning walk program where we had perfect weather and even got to enjoy an off-season private experience! The explanations about plants were fascinating, making it both fun and fulfilling. My child kept asking for quizzes repeatedly—thank you for your patience despite causing some trouble! Thank you also for taking us to Alamanda to feed turtles. Although it seemed quiet during off-season with fewer people around, there were surprisingly many children competing over turtle food during feeding time! Unfortunately, adults cannot participate in feeding activities if they go alone since food is not provided for them. This resort is enjoyable even without needing a car; however, having simple meals like rice balls (onigiri), sandwiches or light bento boxes available within the hotel or resort would be fantastic—especially something easy for kids to eat quickly! There are picnic-friendly spots in nearby parks where rice balls would have been perfect... It would be great if such options could be ordered from hotels or made more accessible somehow. Every day now I'm thinking about when I'll get another chance to visit Miyako Island again!

The Hotel offers a great range of services to fully enjoy your time on-site, including complimentary drinks in the lobby, a manga library, one hour of free karaoke, and massage chairs. The all-you-can-drink alcohol option at dinner, including local sake, was also very good. As for the food, many dishes felt like typical buffet fare, and the sashimi selection was limited to tuna, squid, and salmon, so it did not feel upscale at all. The crab also felt like standard buffet crab. The heshiko ochazuke at breakfast was extremely delicious. My child was delighted to experience karaoke for the first time. What we especially appreciated was that both the washing machines and dryers could be used free of charge. They were lined up in the laundry room, and we could use any available one. We usually end up taking home heavy, smelly clothes after swimming in the sea; although we didn’t use the dryer this time, being able to wash and spin-dry everything made things much easier after returning home. Ryusho Museum is right next door to the Hotel—we could even see its beautiful building from the lobby windows—and we enjoyed an evening walk there as well. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind. Thanks to all these services, we had a wonderful time and it became a truly memorable stay. Thank you very much.

I stayed here once a few years ago. The meals were delicious then, and I was very satisfied. This time as well, both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a great variety of dishes, including plenty of seafood, and it truly felt fulfilling. Everything was excellent. The shower head in the Room bath was a modern model and very comfortable. The gentleman in the parking lot was very friendly, took our family photo for us, and we were happy with how well it turned out. The view from the Room is also wonderful.

After staying at Mikazuki Hotel in Chiba (Katsuura and Kamogawa) last year and the year before, we visited Nikko Kinugawa Hotel Mikazuki for the first time this year. With the all-inclusive plan, we could enjoy a welcome lunch right after arrival and use the pool as well, and the kids seemed to have a great time. Both Japanese and international staff provided excellent service, with thoughtful attention throughout, which really impressed us. I was excited about the all-you-can-drink alcohol from the welcome lunch onward, and my wife and grandparents also loved how clean the Hotel was and how good the service was—so we would definitely like to stay again! Thank you very much for taking care of us for two days.

My grandchild happily joined in activities like catching sweetfish and baking bread. We also enjoyed the pool to the fullest. The Onsen was great too.

Since the Room we selected was on the 4th floor, we got quite tired going back and forth three round trips down to the 1st floor (for walking our dog, etc.), plus meals and the bath (four round trips up to the 2nd floor) (lol). Next time, we’ll choose a Room on the 1st or 2nd floor (lol). Other than that, there were no problems. Our dog was happy, and the food was delicious too. (We are an elderly couple, aged 75 and 70.)

Although it was extremely hot, we were blessed with good weather and were able to relax. Driving from Kyoto via the national highway felt far (since we have a kei car and can get pressured on the expressway). The first time, we stayed at Nisshokan. This time, due to renovations, we stayed at Nagisakan—it was spacious and we could take our time. I had knee surgery in February and worked hard through painful rehabilitation, so being able to finally enjoy the Onsen again was truly wonderful. Everyone at the Hotel was kind, and it was very soothing. Thank you very much.

I stayed here to visit Hakodate Racecourse. I stayed last year as well and it was so good that I came back again. Among the major Hotels in Yunokawa Onsen, this one seems to be the closest to the racecourse. It’s about a 15-minute walk, and there’s also a streetcar, so it’s convenient for getting into the city. There are also a convenience store, COOP supermarket, and a drugstore nearby. In any case, there are few Rooms, so it never feels crowded. The large public bath is also quiet. The property is connected to Takubokutei, so you can use Takubokutei’s large public bath and shop as well. (Guests staying at Takubokutei cannot use Kaikyo no Kaze.) The Room is simply spacious. Even the standard type feels very comfortable. This time I chose a Room with a private bath, and the bath in this Room was excellent—spacious with great water quality. Having two sinks was also convenient. Even the tissue box was full-size like at home. The only disappointing point was that both the Room window and even the bathroom window were dirty, so I couldn’t clearly enjoy the view through them. Since I was on a high floor, cleaning the windows may be difficult, but I had been looking forward to “a panoramic view of Tsugaru Strait,” so it fell slightly short of expectations. This time I booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, and both meals were truly excellent. There were plenty of Hokkaido ingredients with lots of variety on the menu, plus several kinds of desserts—I ate so much that I didn’t need lunch. Meal times were scheduled in advance as well, so there was no crowding. Next year I’d like to stay here with my daughter—the three of us together. Also starting next year my son is scheduled to be transferred to Sapporo, so I’d like to recommend it to him too.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday trip. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, including messages, and felt the attentive care throughout. The meals and Onsen were wonderful, and we were very satisfied. The staff welcomed us warmly with smiles, which was soothing both physically and mentally. We would love to stay again.

The top-floor scenic bath was wonderful; the Onsen was very relaxing. It was great how the view changed between evening and morning. For dinner, since I’m not a fan of buffets, I chose the special kaiseki course. There were many dishes, and everything was delicious—from fresh fish to a tender filet steak. The Room was a modern twin, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. In the lobby there was a coffee machine, and it was nice that you could have as many cups as you liked during the available hours. If I visit Shodoshima again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

I stayed on the renovated club floor. I am a Prince Platinum member, but IKYU Diamond members receive free parking, so I made my Reservation through IKYU. The Room was comfortable, the lounge was well appointed, and the bar was wonderful. At dinner at the first-floor buffet restaurant, there was a dessert performance, and they even surprised me with a birthday dessert—thoughtful touches worthy of a top-class Hotel. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here for a family trip on 9/1. We have a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old, and the staff were very kind to our children. The hospitality was wonderful, and we had an amazing time. Above all, being able to use the pool during the day made our kids so happy. The night pool has a more adult atmosphere, but our children also enjoyed experiencing something they don’t usually get to do. For the late-night ramen, a staff member told us it would be ready quickly and encouraged us to eat before we left. It was lightly seasoned and delicious. If I had to mention one thing, the changing room is quite far from the open-air bath, so it would be nice if there were showers or a changing area closer by. While you can’t deny that this Facility is old, it is very well cleaned, so there was no problem. For amenities, I thought it would be great if we could borrow children’s toothbrushes and shampoo. It was an excellent Hotel that made us want to come back again. Tateyama Resort Hotel—thank you so much!

We were talking with friends about wanting to see the Atami fireworks, and that’s how we found Atami Terrace. We’d often seen it on Instagram, so although it was a bit pricey for us, we decided to make the Reservation since it was a special occasion—and we were absolutely thrilled! Nothing blocked the view: an amazing collaboration of the sea, illuminations, and fireworks right in front of us. The powerful sound that you could feel in your stomach was truly moving. The service was just as impressive as the fireworks. The buffet meals—both dinner and breakfast—offered great variety, and unlike many Hotels like this, there was hardly any waiting in line. For my friend who has trouble walking and uses a cane, there was a cart that could carry a tray while moving around, and she seemed happy to be able to choose as much as she wanted. We were also surprised by the all-you-can-drink beer. We also enjoyed plenty inside the Hotel—late-night soba noodles, plus tea and sweets in the lounge. And with the beach right in front of you, I think it would be perfect for swimming too. It’s beautiful overall, and the Room is compact but well organized—we felt relaxed throughout our stay. We’ve already made another Reservation for the November fireworks festival. We’re really looking forward to it.

We stayed in an 11th-floor sea-side Room. The Hotel is right in front of the ocean, so the view was wonderful, and the sunrise was especially beautiful. Both the panoramic bath and the indoor bath were very relaxing. I also liked that the washing area was in a separate room.\nThe dining area is on the 12th floor, so we enjoyed our meal while looking out toward the mountains. At dinner, the staff offered to take photos for us, which made us happy. The food was delicious, and we were glad there were many Oita specialties. There were sashimi, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), toriten (Oita-style chicken tempura), dango-jiru soup, shiitake curry, sea bream dashi ochazuke, French toast, soft-serve ice cream, and many other tasty dishes.\nThe Room felt clean, and I liked laying out our own futons because it meant no one needed to come into the Room. All of the staff had a great atmosphere as well—overall we were extremely satisfied.

Black mineral bath after a long time This was my fifth visit. The black water is stronger at the day-use spa than at the Hotel, so I went there first—but has it been getting lighter year by year? The first time I bathed, there was sediment built up and it felt like soaking in mud. The smell was like a rotten ditch. I got hooked and came back many times, but… does it feel more diluted now? The smell was still incredibly strong, though. But that’s fine. Because I love it.
