From check-in, the staff’s hospitality was outstanding, and I knew it would be a wonderful stay. The Room was cozy and more than comfortable for a solo trip. The amenities were well stocked—even including toner and bath salts. The bathrobe was also very helpful. In the lounge, I could enjoy complimentary wine and even canned beer, which made it easy to relax. Breakfast was delicious as well. Choosing the breakfast-included plan was definitely the right decision. As an IKYU Diamond member, I was thrilled with the late check-out, complimentary minibar drinks, and a mini L’OCCITANE hand cream. With all of these perks included at such great value, it truly made for an amazing Hotel stay. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything this time.

The Room has been renovated. Each Room has a microwave. You can heat up prepared foods bought at Isetan or Kinokuniya in your Room. The refrigerator also has a separate freezer compartment. Ice cream is fine too.

This was our second stay. All the staff provided wonderful service with warm smiles, which made us feel very comfortable. At the breakfast buffet, we truly appreciated your thoughtful care for my wife, who was not feeling well. The open-air bath was also beautifully maintained. When we travel to the Tohoku area again, we will be sure to stop by. Thank you very much.

The Room has been renovated and is very clean. The view from the Room is peaceful, and you can enjoy it for hours. It is conveniently located near Tantetsu Yuhigaura-Kitsu Onsen Station, and the trains passing by add to the relaxed atmosphere. The Onsen also seems to be free-flowing, which was excellent. For meals, freshly cooked rice was served in an ohitsu both morning and night, and it was very delicious. I usually prefer a Hotel with an ocean view, but I felt that the rural scenery here was wonderful as well. It’s quiet, so you can sleep very well at night. Also, the Taishokan building—open for self-guided viewing—is well worth seeing at least once.

This was my first time staying here. There is also an underground parking lot, and the Room amenities were well stocked. I was very satisfied with the coffee machine and the complimentary drinking water. The breakfast buffet also included an egg station, and everything was delicious. I will stay here again when I return home. Thank you very much.

Beautiful scenery, a resort-like atmosphere throughout the property, and carefully prepared seasonal dishes. The service was attentive, courteous, and truly pleasant. The cool natural air and enjoyable walks made me very glad I visited. Breakfast was also brought to our table, allowing us to relax and enjoy the meal at ease. I appreciated the Shuttle Service from Yudanaka Station, and taking a short break in the lounge was a wonderful time as well. Although it was a trip during the heat, I felt refreshed and ready to get through the summer with renewed energy. I am turning 77 this year. I want to continue enjoying wonderful trips—dressing up and savoring stays at Resort Hotels and Ryokans.

This was my third stay. After arriving while it was still light out, I first enjoyed Goshobo’s semi-mixed Onsen and the large public bath with its golden Onsen. Since it was summer, even a short soak left me sweating nonstop. In the large bath, I shared the water with someone for the first time here; we had a pleasant chat and ended up soaking a bit longer. Dinner was a lighter, seafood-focused course. The chilled Awaji spiny lobster soup was a perfect match with Koshu wine. The highlight began with sashimi of meita-garei flounder and aged sea bream, followed by more Akashi-ura fish to enjoy. The charcoal-grilled Spanish mackerel and the Akashi sea bream acqua pazza were both seasonal specials you can only have here at this time of year. The broth in the acqua pazza was much lighter than last autumn’s filefish version. To finish, the cheese course left me fully satisfied in both quality and quantity—thank you for the wonderful meal. For breakfast, I switched back to the standard menu: milk, soup, vegetables—an all-around delicious plate—beautiful French toast, and yogurt meant to savor the jam and honey. Everything tasted exactly as good as expected. Even the mini breads were great; this time, the buttery croissant was my favorite. In my Room bath, I topped up little by little while letting it cool slightly, enjoying a pleasantly lukewarm golden Onsen. The breeze through the window felt wonderful: lush greenery everywhere, distant summer skies, murmuring sounds of life outside—and cicadas loud enough not to lose to them. Summer Onsen really is something special. After breakfast I alternated between the golden Onsen and the low-temperature sauna. It was an extremely satisfying holiday stay. Thank you very much. P.S. We stayed as a three-generation family of six. Since it was the Obon holiday period, we expected crowds everywhere, but unlike a Hotel, it was much quieter than we imagined and we were able to relax and enjoy a truly wonderful time. The interior has high ceilings and feels very open, and it was spacious enough for six adults to stay comfortably. Because of the typhoon, it got so chilly at night that we turned on the heater, but the air conditioning worked well and kept us comfortable. The Onsen was also delightful, and the beautiful greenery visible from the window was very soothing. This time we ate out for dinner, but next time we’d like to use the hot plate and enjoy cooking together indoors. (One of us doesn’t like insects, so we’re glad we didn’t do a terrace BBQ. There were no bugs inside.) We also really appreciated having a washing machine (with dryer function) and detergent provided—it was extremely helpful when we suddenly needed to do laundry. Our parents were very happy as well and are already saying they want to come again, so we would love to visit again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!

Check-in was busy, but they handled the procedure at a table in the lobby instead of at the counter, so it was smooth and I didn’t have to wait, which made me very happy. The post-bath relaxation area has tatami flooring and a wonderful view overlooking the castle. The black soybean tea and muscat juice there are delicious—it's my favorite soothing space. Breakfast is always prepared with care, with a wide variety of options, all very tasty. I also really appreciate the Shuttle Service to the station in the heat. This is an Accommodation that makes me want to come back again.

This was the best breakfast I’ve ever had! The vegetables and pork were delicious, and there were also dishes like squid rice and grated yam. The yogurt and corn felt uniquely Hokkaido as well. On top of that, the chilled sweet red bean dessert and elderflower jelly were outstanding. It was also a pleasure to stop by the Hotel’s guest-only lounge during sightseeing for tea and sweets—and they were genuinely delicious, not an afterthought! Overall, everything felt spacious and relaxing, and I was able to unwind comfortably.

This long-established Ryokan had a calm atmosphere, and the garden was wonderful. Most notably, the in-room rock bath was so spacious that it felt almost too much for our family of three, and with free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source, we lost count of how many times we soaked. The meals were also carefully prepared; everything was delicious, especially the tasty rice—so good that our son, who usually never asks for seconds, did. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

While some Hotels are rigid and overly formal, here I was truly able to relax thanks to the staff’s thoughtful and warm hospitality. Their service reflected the values of the manager and leadership, as well as the Hotel’s overall commitment to welcoming guests. I stayed for six nights, and I sincerely appreciate all your kindness—thank you very much.

Just like the Reviews said, all the staff were very kind. They carried our luggage to the Room, and I was happy that I could choose the yukata and obi I liked. After we entered the Room, they explained everything, including an introduction to the Room, where the baths were, and meals. The building is old, but it was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. The large public bath is on the small side, but from the moment I stepped in I could smell the sea, and my skin felt incredibly smooth afterward. Dinner and breakfast were made entirely with ingredients from Tottori Prefecture, and I really enjoyed them. With items like turban shell (sazae) and Tottori beef packed with flavor—and with free refills of shijimi clam miso soup and rice—it was so delicious that I had two bowls of rice and two bowls of miso soup. Also, without us having to say anything, they brought tea and dessert at just the perfect timing. It was a Hotel that made me feel they truly pay attention to their guests. I’d love to stay at this Accommodation again. Thank you very much. And lastly, the sake we received as Diamond members was truly delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I have stayed at a wide range of Hotels throughout The whole country, from budget Hotels to luxury Hotels, and among Hotels in this price range, this one is without a doubt No. 1 in terms of hospitality and dinner. The quality you get for this Accommodation Fee is truly outstanding. [What I liked] Hospitality & service: As attentive as a luxury Hotel. Not only the front desk staff, but also the housekeeping staff greeted me politely and elegantly when we passed in the hallway, which made my stay very comfortable. Dinner: The bento prepared after ordering was freshly made, extremely delicious, and generous in variety—I was very satisfied! Room & cleanliness: The Room and unit bath were kept clean and comfortable. The restaurant at the breakfast venue also felt very clean. (Breakfast itself felt like a standard buffet.) [What I noticed] I was slightly bothered by the smell of the sanitized cups. Wi-Fi: To be honest, the Wi-Fi connection was unstable and not usable. I strongly recommend that future guests prepare pocket Wi-Fi or mobile data. There were only a few minor points I noticed, but they were far outweighed by the excellent hospitality and dinner quality. I would definitely like to stay here again!

It’s a bit of a walk after leaving the station, and the approach to the Hotel isn’t very attractive. However, the Hotel itself was excellent. The building is old, but the Room felt thoroughly clean in every corner, and the air conditioning was comfortable without being overly cold. The unit bath was fairly spacious, and with the bath salts provided I could stretch out and relax, which helped relieve my fatigue. I was also personally happy that the skincare amenities were from Kalahari. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming with warm smiles. It was my first time in Mito, and I’m glad I chose this Hotel. When I visit Mito again, I’d like to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

I was truly impressed by the silky, rich quality of the Onsen water. It felt so pleasant that I wanted to keep touching my skin in the bath forever—it's rare to find water like this. After arriving, I crossed the bridge and went for a walk; the sound of cicadas was wonderful, and I ended up walking for about an hour. You can also go down to the river, which is another highly recommended spot. The meals were very generous, and I regret that I couldn’t finish everything. I’d be happy if there were an option for a smaller portion with a higher-quality course menu. The sweetfish and bonito were delicious as well. Thank you very much.

Two years ago, I made a Reservation, but my father passed away and I had to Cancel the Reservation at short notice. It had been on my mind ever since, so this time I made another Reservation and stayed here. I truly enjoyed the best of the countryside! Honestly, it feels higher quality than many Hotels. The food was carefully prepared, with great flavor and texture in every dish, and the Room and bathroom were designed to be comfortable and easy for anyone to use. Above all, the hospitality is outstanding! If you want to experience the countryside, I highly recommend staying at Yamagataya!!

It had been a while since I last enjoyed a Hotel vacation. The heat had been lingering and I was tired from work, but I was able to refresh and feel back to normal. I love the Japanese-style breakfast in the morning. Sorry for spilling the soy sauce. I’ll be back again. Everyone, please be careful of heatstroke even while you’re at work.

The staff’s hospitality was outstanding, and both my mother and I were truly moved. We stayed here to finally see the nemophila flowers we had long dreamed of. Since we had a lot of luggage, they kindly stored our suitcases even before check-in. They also called a taxi company to ask about the fare as we debated whether to take a taxi or bus to Hitachinaka Seaside Park, and they prepared the bus timetable for the next day—thank you so much for your thoughtful help. At breakfast, the staff also suggested ways to enjoy the Danish pastry with different flavors, and it was delicious. This trip really reminded me how much a journey can be enriched by the warmth and care of the people who welcome you. Thank you very much.
