The entire Accommodation rental was very clean! It was so well equipped that I honestly wanted to make it my own home. There were air conditioners in every Room, toilets on the 2nd and 3rd floors, a washing machine with detergent provided, and even a bathroom system that lets you hang laundry and dry it with warm air. Our family was extremely satisfied! We were also grateful to receive souvenir bags for each person. Everyone—if you stay even once, you’ll make great memories. Please try staying at this Accommodation! Thank you very much! Oh—I forgot to take photos of the Accommodation.

I made a Reservation to coincide with a visit to Minamiza Theatre. With Chion-in Temple right in front, the location is incredible. It was my first time staying at this Accommodation, and I was delighted by the warm welcome from the moment they held my luggage before check-in. The Room was more than sufficient for a solo trip, and there was also a thoughtful selection of tea and sweets. From the panoramic bath in the morning, I could truly see the red torii gate of Heian Shrine, and breakfast featured delicious Kyoto-style dishes. At check-out, they even saw me off to the exit; feeling happy that I had stayed at such a wonderful Accommodation in Gion, I then headed to Ginkaku-ji Temple. Thank you for your hospitality.

A very comfortable ryokan with a nice futon. My only comment is about the pillows—they are a bit hard and uncomfortable. Other than that, everything is perfect. The view of the river from the balcony is beautiful, and the room is very clean.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in Kyoto with our dog. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and they even provided treats for our dog. The thoughtful attention to detail made this Hotel the perfect base for exploring Arashiyama. At night, we enjoyed walking to Togetsukyo Bridge, and there is also a convenience store nearby, so we could still have a great time after returning to the Hotel. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Kyoto. Thank you very much!

It is close to Togetsukyo Bridge and slightly away from the main street, so I was able to enjoy a quiet stay. Breakfast was delicious, with rice cooked in a traditional pot and several kinds of obanzai served in small bowls—I wanted to have seconds again and again. Even traveling alone, I felt at ease staying here thanks to the staff’s warm smiles.

I stayed here again for the first time in a while since the renovation. The open-air bath was different from before, and I enjoyed it with the men’s and women’s baths switching. The Room was a Japanese-Western style, so it was spacious, but the bed was narrow and the pillow was high, making it hard to sleep. The meals were very delicious, served at just the right timing. The salmon sashimi was a little unique—well thought out and tasty. The ayu sweetfish also had just the right amount of salt and was very enjoyable.

Both the facility and cleanliness are impeccable. For Kyoto trips, we stay at Fuuga Bettei Shijo Omiya with 3-4 people. It is a comfortable space.

We stayed for one night as a family of four after returning from USJ. First, we checked in around 9 PM, and the floor heating was on, making it warm and very appreciated. The abundance of complimentary welcome sweets, drinks, and amenities made us feel the hospitality, which was delightful. The building is a well-renovated old house, so you can feel traces of the past here and there, but the simple and tasteful design and interior allowed us to have a very pleasant stay. The highlight is the location, about a 5-minute walk to Todai-ji Temple, and you can also see the Great Buddha Hall of Todai-ji from the second floor. The luxury of being able to take a leisurely walk to Todai-ji during the early morning when there are fewer tourists is unique to this place. Overall, we were satisfied, but I would like to mention two points we noticed. The barrel sauna, which we were looking forward to, was quite good, but there was only one wooden bench in the relaxation space, and there were no chairs with backrests or infinity chairs, which seemed like a missed opportunity. Also, we added firewood to the fireplace and lit it with the provided gas burner, but only large logs were available, and since the lid had to remain open while lighting with the burner, smoke filled the room, causing a family member with weak respiratory health to start coughing, so we closed the lid early, and the fire went out midway. It would be nice if kindling-sized wood could also be provided. If these two points could be improved, I believe it would become an even more wonderful Facility.

The hotel entrance is marked only with a symbol, making it very difficult to find. Even after entering, it was hard to locate my room (no room number displayed), so I had to call the office for assistance. My room was in the back storage house, with the bedroom on the second floor. The lighting was dim as it relied solely on indirect lighting. The TV is located on the first floor and is exclusively for Netflix viewing. However, the courtyard design is stunning and gives a feeling of being in another world. It’s an accommodation worth staying at least once. The room I stayed in had only a shower facility.

We stayed as a group of four female friends. The Room was a separate unit, allowing us to chat freely without worrying about neighbors. The Room had a calm and relaxing Japanese-modern style. There were both a rock bath and an open-air bath available. The rock bath was sized for two people, while the larger open-air bath truly felt outdoorsy; however, we didn’t use it as the changing area seemed cold. The semi-open-air bath was perfect for the four of us to enjoy together. Dinner was yakiniku! It was filling and more than enough for us ladies, with stylish and delicious desserts to finish off the meal. The friendly dog and cat were also very comforting! Thank you very much!

This was our family’s first trip to Yufuin. Dinner was delicious, including Bungo beef, and the children’s meals were also luxurious and very generous in portion size. The Ryokan was even more impressive than we expected from the entrance—the interior was surprisingly spacious. We also loved the calm, hidden-retreat atmosphere and charming ambiance. One night wasn’t enough, so we would love to return if we have the chance again. Thank you very much.

The Room was spacious, and our family of five stayed comfortably. The location was convenient with great access to transportation—no complaints. If I had to mention one thing, it was a bit inconvenient that whenever someone left the Room alone, another person had to see them off and lock the door.

We stayed with our 2-year-old child. As I was pregnant, we chose this Hotel because it seemed conveniently located near Nara Park, and we booked a stay with meals included. Dinner was delicious and so generous that we couldn’t finish it. For our 2-year-old, they brought plain rice and furikake first, which made it easy to feed our child. Breakfast was a bit lighter and didn’t quite leave us completely full, but if you plan to eat while sightseeing, it felt just right. It may be a little too light for men. The complimentary water was very helpful. However, it was a large bottle (1.5L? 2L?), so we finished it at the Hotel. There is a 700-yen parking subsidy. Parking near the Hotel often costs over 1,000 yen, but we found a parking lot a little farther away where we could park for 700 yen and used that instead. The Hotel itself is somewhat old, but it was kept very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful.

During the autumn foliage season, I hurriedly searched for accommodation with a large public bath. Unexpectedly, I found one that met my requirements and was very pleased. I am satisfied with my stay. I used the large public bath once at night and three times in the morning. Since my second son attends Kyoto University, we visited him from Tokyo during his school festival. As his apartment only has a unit bath, we chose this accommodation so he could enjoy a spacious bath for a change. He was very satisfied with both the bath and breakfast, which made me happy as a parent.

We found this Accommodation while looking for a place where six people across three generations could stay, as we had plans nearby the next day. We requested a change to our Reservation right before our stay, and they handled it quickly and courteously, which was a huge help. First of all, the location—within walking distance of the Bikan Historical Quarter—was excellent. We checked in early and used the Accommodation as a base to enjoy sightseeing. On the day we stayed, the surrounding roads were congested and nearby parking lots seemed to be full, so we especially appreciated how convenient this location was. For dinner and breakfast, we brought back takeout from the Bikan area and groceries from a supermarket and ate at the Accommodation. There were plenty of easy options even with kids—pizza, yakitori, deli foods, croquettes, etc. There were also enough dishes and cooking utensils provided, so cooking was stress-free. The complimentary kuromame (black soybean) coffee was delicious too. The interior is a comfortable traditional house; while spending time on the first floor, we hardly noticed any outside noise. Mosquito-repellent items were also provided, which showed thoughtful attention to detail. The lighting was slightly dim for our taste, so we moved one of the upstairs lights downstairs to use it there. The bathroom has been renovated and is as easy to use as a typical apartment bath unit. With two toilets and two faucets at the sink area, even our large group could stay comfortably without inconvenience. The only thing that stood out was that when sleeping upstairs, we could hear cars passing on the road in front more than expected. Because of that I wouldn’t say we slept soundly through the night. Earplugs were provided—I assume this is why—and it might have been quieter if we had slept downstairs. In addition to that: an umbrella stand with spare umbrellas for rainy days; air conditioning already running when we arrived; plastic wrap; coffee with a grinder—everything you’d be happy to have was thoughtfully prepared. It was an Accommodation where you can truly feel attentive hospitality throughout your stay.

With check-in at 2:00 PM, this Hotel is recommended if you arrive in Kusatsu early and want to sightsee around Yubatake first. However, it’s hard to tell from the map, but walking from the Hotel to the downtown area where Yubatake is located requires going up and down a very steep hill. It’s about a 10-minute walk one way, but the uphill stretch is quite tough. The in-house Facility, public bath, and Room had been renovated and were clean and comfortable, but I was unlucky with my Room—the sound of rain hitting the Facility roof outside the window was loud and made it hard to sleep—so I rated the guest room two stars lower and overall satisfaction one point lower.

Stayed in a dormitory. The room, bed, and shower room were all clean and well maintained. The lounge with an attached kitchen was spacious and comfortable. The foreign front desk staff were also pleasant and helpful. Affordable rates and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights while sightseeing in Kamakura! Just as we expected from the Reviews before making our Reservation, the front desk staff were polite and helpful. The Facility itself feels a bit old, but it was very clean and well maintained. It was also convenient being a 2-minute walk from the station. We considered other Hotels, but chose this one for the price, and it turned out to be a great choice. The complimentary tea and snacks were also a nice touch!

Conveniently located near the station and supermarkets, making it ideal for visiting public baths and shopping. The bath is a private family bath, so we were able to relax and enjoy it at our own pace. What we especially liked was the welcome drinks—unlimited refills, including alcoholic beverages—and snacks were also provided. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

It was conveniently located near the samurai residence district, with a convenience store and souvenir shops right next door. The entrance is a little hard to find. The Hotel does not have a large public bath, but we were able to use a nearby day-use Onsen at a discounted rate. We also appreciated being able to go again the next morning, and a cute cat welcomed us. There was complimentary coffee and snacks, and the amenities were well stocked.
