The toilet and bath are shared for each Room, which may not be suitable for everyone. The bedding was not a bed but a futon on tatami mats, with clean sheets provided. Breakfast included warm rice, miso soup, fish, raw egg, pickles, and salad for a well-balanced meal. The bath is located on the second floor and was clean. Personally, I enjoyed it as I prefer baths where I can stretch my legs. There is a noticeable smell of tobacco as many smokers seem to use this Hotel. An ashtray is provided in the Room, making this Hotel recommended for smokers.

I think this accommodation offers various enjoyable activities for families with children, as there are hot springs, a pool, a garden, and a restaurant nearby. This time, we stayed with our one-year-old child, and since we had a corner room with limited rooms available, we could stay comfortably without any worries. In the dining room, they provided a high chair for our child, and since it was our first stay, they guided us to the nearby hot springs. However, since we were with a toddler this time, we couldn't use Yakushi no Yu, so we plan to use it next time.

The meals were simply the best. The homemade pizza and tart are a must-try. Heating appliances are installed in all rooms, so there was no trouble keeping warm. Additionally, there are clothes drying appliances, which were helpful for drying clothes wet from the heavy rain. I stayed with my pet. The availability of cages, food bowls, and toilet sheets was helpful. The staff were friendly and provided excellent hospitality, which was satisfying.

There were a hammock and beanbag cushions, and even our 3-month-old baby had a great time. It was a hot summer day, but the air conditioning worked well, which was a relief. Also, since there was no TV, it was easy to do a digital detox. There were several board games such as The Game of Life. We weren’t sure if we were allowed to use them, so we didn’t touch them, but they could be fun for families. The breakfast pancakes made with mochi wheat were delicious. However, since it’s an attic space, the stairs were steep. It was tough going up while holding our 3-month-old baby.

The hospitality was excellent, and they kindly accommodated our request to change the dish (the simmered fish), so we had a wonderful time. Since it was before the busy season, we were able to chat leisurely with the owner and the hostess, and on the way home my wife and I talked about coming back again. Thank you very much—please stay well.

I stayed with my beloved dog. The room was on the first floor with no view, but we enjoyed a relaxing walk at the nearby beach, and gazing at the star-filled sky became a wonderful memory. The meals were also very delicious. This is an accommodation I would love to stay at again.

The seaside location offered great views, and the Room was clean and relaxing. The meals were also satisfying. However, the bath was on a time schedule, which made it less relaxing as I had to watch the time. Overall, I was satisfied.

This is my second time at this Ryokan. I searched for a place to enjoy Okose and Ise lobster, and decided to stay here. This time, I came with 7 friends because I wanted them to try the food here. Everyone was very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality. Mae-chan

The clean Room made for a very pleasant stay. The staff promptly responded to sudden requests, which was greatly appreciated. It was well-received by my family, and I would love to use it again.

The pre-arranged allergy accommodations for meals during the Reservation were prompt and thoughtful, which was greatly appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptionally delicious. The staff's service was kind, attentive, and pleasant, allowing for a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to use this service again.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff provided excellent service, so I was satisfied. I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room, but one downside is that there is no sink inside the toilet, which is why I’m deducting one star.

Stayed here during a motorcycle trip to Wakayama. I usually stay at business hotels or rider houses, but this accommodation offered breakfast and dinner at a great price, so I decided to try a traditional inn for the first time in decades. The accommodation and room are not modern, but they have a warm, nostalgic feel like visiting your grandmother's house. The shared bath is not an onsen, but it’s spacious enough for one person to stretch out comfortably. Towels were also provided. Dinner included fresh sashimi, fried dishes, and various small side dishes—more than enough! As expected from Owase, the sashimi was incredibly fresh and delicious! Breakfast was the quintessential Japanese morning meal—absolutely satisfying. The accommodation itself is perfect; however, if you rely on Google Maps for directions, it might lead you through unnecessary mountain paths and guide you to what looks like farmland in front of the inn. It’s better to call ahead and confirm the parking location beforehand. Especially if you're riding a large motorcycle like me—it can be extremely difficult to make a U-turn in such areas!

Highly recommended Accommodation for those who want to fully enjoy crab. The Room and bath are, unfortunately, fairly standard, but nothing is lacking. The meals were served with attentive hospitality, and we were able to savor every part of the crab. The hospitality is excellent as well. Personally, I also recommend crab shell sake. Please give it a try at least once.

Since we stayed on a weekday, we had the Accommodation almost to ourselves. It was ski season, and the Room had a kotatsu, so we could relax comfortably. The bath is only large enough for about 3–4 adults, so you may need to go at a different time when it’s busy. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, so the Plan with meals is recommended. The road to the Accommodation is narrow, so please be careful.

Two private hot spring baths, available 24 hours when open, are exceptional. One is an outdoor bath and the other is indoor. The outdoor bath is a bit small, so it might feel slightly cramped for two people, but the atmosphere is fantastic. The water flow is abundant. It's also convenient that you can check the availability of the baths from your room. The room had a private bathroom and toilet, but with only seven rooms in this accommodation and two private baths available, having a bathroom in the room might not be necessary. It would be nicer if that space were used to make the room larger instead. The room features a large TV with BS channels and thoughtfully placed USB outlets throughout—likely added later—which are very convenient. Meals have standard portions and variety but stand out for their excellent seasoning and creative presentation. Ingredients seem carefully selected as well. The wine selection appears to be sourced internationally by the owner; even as amateurs, we found both red and white wines delightful. The owner enjoys chatting with guests, making it enjoyable for those who like conversation. For those less comfortable with interaction, there's no overly intrusive approach typical of some accommodations like pensions. Pricing is reasonable, offering high overall satisfaction—a wonderful accommodation worth revisiting. One question: Is ordering at least one drink mandatory during meals? If so, it might be better to clarify this policy upfront since some non-drinkers may feel uncomfortable finding out on-site—even though soft drinks are available.

We stayed for one night on a weekday with our beloved dog. The owners warmly welcomed us with smiles. Dinner was teppanyaki, featuring a generous serving of Yonezawa beef, which was absolutely delicious! Their child was adorable and brought us so much joy. The next morning, we were delighted to find a newspaper featuring an article with our photo! The owner, who is a former journalist, created it for us. It became one of our most cherished memories. They even waved goodbye until we were out of sight when we left! The owners are incredibly warm and approachable without being overly familiar, striking the perfect balance that made us feel comfortable and cared for. Although the building seems to have been constructed quite some time ago, areas like the toilets and interiors that are easily noticeable or related to hygiene have been beautifully renovated, allowing us to enjoy a clean and pleasant stay.

A traditional Japanese farmhouse in a very quiet location near Lake Kasumigaura. It’s a relaxing space where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. You can also enjoy their home-brewed craft beer as a welcome drink. The food was simply delicious. We also got to try splitting firewood. All the staff were very kind, and the nearby aquarium is also recommended.

Delicious meals. For breakfast, Japanese dishes such as TK-tei’s signature egg-over-rice. The eggs were so fresh you could pick up the yolk with chopsticks. In the evening, we reserved a BBQ with plenty of seafood—squid, shrimp, clams, and turban shells—and of course lots of meat too. We enjoyed splitting firewood, cutting green bamboo and halving it for somen noodle flowing, trying the wood-fired pizza oven, and the dogs ran around the dog run and napped on the grass. At night we made a campfire using the firewood we split ourselves. We heard there are wild rabbits and muntjac deer around, so we took flashlights for a nighttime adventure. It was very windy that day so we couldn’t see them, but we could sense animals nearby. There’s an outdoor sauna (swimwear required), but we forgot ours—so my husband and grandchild went in wearing underwear…and said they felt completely refreshed afterward. The radishes from the garden were much tastier than just picking one yourself and taking a bite straight away. We also found lots of four-leaf clovers. It felt like being kids again—our whole family enjoyed every moment of our 2-night, 3-day stay.
