Rakuten STAY Nikko Hoden

Check-in is until 10:00 PM, but it was reassuring to know it would still be okay even if I arrived late. I struggled because I couldn’t figure out how to enter the passcode at the door. Since there is no front desk, there was no one to ask… The shower room door wouldn’t open, and when I contacted support via the tablet, the staff member was a foreigner and we couldn’t communicate well… (They were doing their best, so it didn’t leave a bad impression.) I also had trouble because there was no hot water for the bath, but it turned out the water heater switch wasn’t on… (If guests are going to use hot water anyway, I wish it had been turned on.) The tablet stand was broken, and when I touched it I found signs of a previous repair with duct tape on the back. (Just to be clear—I didn’t break it.)The Room felt clean, and the cooking utensils were more than adequate. (If coffee is provided, I’d also like milk and sugar!) There was also a washing machine and a drying rack, which impressed me. I’d like to stay at another Accommodation in this group when traveling elsewhere.

Fully furnished with appliances, it felt more like being at home than staying at a Hotel, allowing for complete relaxation. The bathtub was spacious enough to stretch out and was very enjoyable.
