Yakushima Green Hotel

While it is not as luxurious as a Resort Hotel, it was a comfortable Hotel where we could relax while trekking and sightseeing on Yakushima. Compared with guesthouses, our privacy was better maintained, and we were able to spend our time calmly. The staff were kind, and we had a pleasant stay. There were also tasteful souvenirs displayed inside the building, which was fun to browse. From the Room, we could enjoy an ocean view—sunrise in the morning and a starry sky at night. It is a Hotel where you can unwind while feeling close to Yakushima’s nature.

We chose an ocean-view Room, and the view was truly breathtaking. We also enjoyed an evening walk in the garden outside. The handmade map was adorable, and we were able to observe some unusual plants. We booked the No Meals Included Plan, but they showed us recommended restaurants on the map, so we called and were able to go right away. Thank you very much.The two of us stayed together, but since our bath times were different, it was a bit inconvenient that the auto-lock system came with only one key. The Room itself had no odor, but there was a distinctive smell in the building and elevator; I felt it would be nice if deodorizing could be done with something like Yakusugi cedar fragrance. However, everything was thoroughly cleaned—the Room, building areas, and bath were all very clean—so we had a comfortable stay.The airport is close and the parking lot is large as well, so we will use this place again when we come to Yakushima.
