Pearl Hotel Ryogoku

It’s a short walk from Ryogoku Station on the Sobu Line. The Room is a bit small, but it’s more than enough for sleeping. The next day, I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and it was great that the Hotel kept my luggage so I could travel to Nikko easily. I’d be happy to stay here again. The front desk staff were also very pleasant.

They upgraded me to a slightly larger Room than the one I had reserved, but it was smaller than I expected. It made me wonder how small the original Room must have been. Still, all I needed was a shower and a place to sleep, and since I came to watch sumo, the location was excellent. The view from the window was also great—I could see Ryogoku Kokugikan, Tokyo Skytree, and Ryogoku Station, and it looked beautiful both day and night. What disappointed me was finding what seemed to be a pouch-style smoothie left in the refrigerator by a previous guest—it felt unpleasant, so I threw it away immediately. Also, there were no power outlets at all by the pillow, which made charging my phone a bit inconvenient. I knew in advance that it is an older Facility, so that was acceptable. Overall, I stayed at a low cost; it’s close to the station and Ryogoku Kokugikan; and there are restaurants nearby, so it was convenient and good value. I would like to stay here again when watching sumo.
