Asama Onsen Izumiso

We arrived around 5:30 pm, and everyone was hungry, so we asked if dinner could be served from 6:30 pm, and they kindly accommodated our request. First, the bath. The facilities were very clean, including the changing area. Dinner had many dishes and was delicious. A young man was in charge of our table; although he seemed a bit inexperienced at times, we appreciated his sincere, hardworking attitude. The next morning, we all enjoyed another bath and then had a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of dishes. We used the local bus both ways. On the way there, we took a bus that arrived about five minutes late due to rain from the nearby bus stop, but when it passed in front of the inn, the staff waved to us—everyone was truly touched. It was a warm and welcoming place to stay. Thank you very much.

I chose this place for the baths. Just like in the photos, it had a charming, traditional atmosphere. The Facility itself was clean but old, with an old-fashioned doorknob where you insert a key. The lighting at the sink was also far too dim. Meals were served in a private room, so even as a solo guest I could relax without feeling self-conscious. Aside from the man at the front desk, all staff were very polite. The young staff at the dining area were also pleasantly earnest, and I felt more at ease than with overly seasoned service.
