Resort Hotel Mihagi: A Healing Inn by the Sea

We stayed for two nights during the Obon holiday season.It was a good Accommodation with easy access for swimming in the sea.However, at breakfast on the first morning, the rice was undercooked with many hard parts and clumps, which was disappointing. Also, there was a dragon decoration in front of the bath area that looked eerie at night and felt scary. The meals on the second night were tastier than on the first night; our whole family felt the same. All of the staff were kind and courteous, which we appreciated.

We stayed here while sightseeing in Hagi City.After strolling through Hagi’s historic streets, we enjoyed kawara soba, pudding, and fried dishes until it was time to check in.When we arrived at the Hotel and opened the window, we could see the Sea of Japan, and the sound of the waves was soothing.The meal portions were very satisfying.The dishes were so gorgeous and wonderful that you might even wonder if you can finish them all.After dinner, we saw information about a private Onsen in our Room, made a Reservation at the front desk, and headed to the private Onsen.*Please note: preparation for the private Onsen takes about two hours, so it may be best to make your Reservation fairly early.This Onsen is a sodium chloride–calcium spring with slightly salty water as its distinctive feature.The Onsen is a little distance away, but we highly recommend trying the private Onsen as well.
