Genryu no Yado Hozantei

We stayed here for a family trip. This Ryokan is in a quiet location a little away from the Kurokawa Onsen area. We stayed in the Matatabi annex Room, which has an open-air bath by the river, and the sound of the flowing water, wild birdsong, and the scent of the Onsen created a truly peaceful private space that felt wonderfully comfortable. The meals were outstanding both in presentation and taste, and we were completely satisfied. We were told that everything is prepared using fresh spring water that wells up abundantly throughout the grounds. The Onsen temperature was just right, and we enjoyed a luxurious time listening to the river.The staff were friendly and greeted us warmly. Everyone—from those serving our meals to those caring for the garden—had wonderful smiles and greetings. We could also really feel how much the proprietress values her guests, which touched us deeply.It was truly an excellent Accommodation. We are glad we chose it, and it became a memorable trip for us.

The property is divided into individual units, which are very clean and come with a bath, which was great. The food and service were excellent and attentive!
