Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa

This was my fifth stay. I visited this time for my birthday.Because it was my birthday, they upgraded me to a suite Room, and I was truly touched by their thoughtfulness. The Room was spacious, spotless, and absolutely wonderful.As always, the meals were consistently delicious. The vegetables here are especially outstanding. It was my first time trying the egg tart, and it was perfectly flaky and very tasty.I don’t drink alcohol, but their decaffeinated coffee is excellent. When I asked for it, they even went out of their way to prepare and bring it to me, saying it’s “difficult to brew.” I really appreciated that kind of attentive service. For those who do drink alcohol, I think this Hotel must feel like heaven.All of the staff are kind and courteous. In particular, the front desk service was exceptional. Since I’ve stayed several times before, they skipped unnecessary explanations when appropriate—flexibly adjusting to the situation—which I found wonderful.The bath area was also well cleaned, and I’m happy that Sekkisei amenities are available.Before entering the bath, I heard another guest mention that something had run out, but it seemed to be replenished frequently; by the time I finished bathing, it had been properly restocked.The only disappointment this time was that because of the rain I couldn’t see Mt. Daisen, but the night view toward Yonago was beautiful.After five stays here in total, once again I felt this is an Accommodation where you’ll want to return again and again.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel. I checked in early and relaxed in the top-floor lounge. It was a little disappointing that most of the snacks were geared toward children. The view was outstanding and helped me recover from travel fatigue. The dining options were excellent—there were local dishes, a live kitchen, and alcohol (including local sake), so I was very satisfied. On the way out, I tried the hand-drip coffee experience; since I don’t usually drink coffee, it became a memorable experience for me. The staff were courteous, and I would like to stay here again.*At dinner, our table was a bit far from the kitchen and slightly inconvenient, but in the morning we were seated near the kitchen. I believe this was due to the staff’s thoughtful consideration. Thank you very much.*
