The bath, the Room, and the meals—everything was wonderful, and I was able to spend a truly comfortable time. All of the staff were kind, and I was able to unwind from my everyday fatigue and feel refreshed with renewed energy. Every dish was excellent; I enjoyed it even from the presentation of the tableware, was moved by the flavors, and had a great time with delicious drinks. Thank you very much.

With its expansive grounds, tranquil atmosphere, seemingly oversized guest rooms, and dedicated attendants, this is a top-tier Japanese-style Ryokan. While it did feel a bit dated in places—such as not having enough power outlets by the bed—we were very satisfied with our stay. It was disappointing that the private family bath (Nishi-no-Yu) was closed due to reduced hot spring water volume depending on the season.

This time, our large family of eight stayed to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Our Room was upgraded, the meals were delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly—we truly enjoyed our one-night stay. Finally, the view from the Room was amazing.

We stayed for three nights, and the meals kept getting better each day—we were very satisfied. We could really feel the chef’s skill and great sense in both technique and choice of ingredients. We stay over 50 nights a year, and I’m sure this place is easily in our top three for this year. The second and third nights in particular were excellent. If you’re going, I recommend staying at least three nights. However, as there were three of us (my daughter and my spouse and I), the separate Room layout was nice, but the wash area felt outdated. I think it would have been much better if even one of the two toilets had been renovated—removing the unnecessary bathtub—and making the sink area more practical to use. The staff were also great, and we would like to come again.

Both the building and the staff made this a truly wonderful Accommodation. Every year, I look forward to staying at a classic Hotel for my birthday, and this time I chose this Hotel for my stay. After arriving at Nagasaki Airport by plane, I took a local bus to the Hotel. Transportation was running as usual, but the weather wasn’t great, so I ended up arriving early. I stopped by hoping you could store my luggage until check-in, and a staff member warmly welcomed me at the entrance. They kindly lent me towels out of concern for my wet bags, and I was able to wait in the library until check-in. They also accommodated an early check-in, which allowed me to relax in my Room and recover from the trip. For dinner, I chose a Western full-course meal. In a calm atmosphere with attentive service, I thoroughly enjoyed an excellent meal. The dessert cart was especially fun because there were so many options to choose from. The bread was served warm—soft and delicious—and I ate it quickly; they kindly offered more, but after finishing dessert I felt completely full, so in hindsight it was probably best not to overindulge even though it was so good. In the basement there is an Onsen with both an indoor bath and an outdoor bath (not large), and I was very happy to be able to enjoy an Onsen while staying at a classic Hotel. Although I traveled alone, everything—from check-in to check-out, including during meals—was extremely comfortable, and it helped me feel refreshed and ready to do my best for another year. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

On the day of our stay, unfortunately it was pouring rain, so we couldn’t go sightseeing. We were cold and soaked, but even though we arrived before check-in, they kindly let us wait in the lobby. They served us hot coffee, and soon after they prepared our Room early for us. Thanks to that, we could change out of our wet clothes and avoid getting sick. The proprietress and all the staff were very kind, and we had a truly comfortable stay. The food was delicious, the Onsen was wonderful—everything was perfect. We’d love to visit again.

Due to a change of plans, I made a Reservation the day before. It was a rainy day and I arrived early, but I was able to choose a book from the many available and enjoy reading at a relaxed pace with a cup of coffee in hand. The spacious bath, especially the bubble bath, was very soothing. The meals were so plentiful that I couldn’t finish everything. The sunrise the next morning was beautiful. There were also goats and rabbits, and if it were closer, it’s a place where I’d love to bring my dog for a Multiple Night Stay.

We stayed at Unzen Kyushu Hotel again on this trip—our third stay. Among the many Hotels, this Accommodation is my wife’s absolute favorite. The views, the Onsen, the food, and the people—everything is outstanding! Above all, you can truly enjoy an extraordinary escape during your stay. We’ll work hard so we can come back again next year. This was my second visit to Unzen Onsen in 27 years. I heard it used to be a public lodging facility, but it seems to have been renovated and was very clean and beautiful. The open-air bath in particular was outstanding. The view was wonderful, and the milky-white water left my skin feeling moisturized afterward, as if I had applied lotion. You can borrow cute yukata next to the front desk. At night, we went out to see the illuminated Onsen Shrine. Depending on the time, they also offer Shuttle Service. If I have the chance to come again, I will definitely stay at this Accommodation!

The food was high quality, and the service was excellent. The bath was very relaxing, and the Room was clean. Since we stayed on a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded. We would like to stay again.

The Onsen was spacious and relaxing, and the wide variety of meals tempted us to eat more than we should. The building is old, but well maintained, and we felt truly refreshed by the warm, smiling service and thoughtful hospitality. With baby-friendly bathing facilities and dining options, we felt at ease and would like to visit next time with three generations of our family.

We stayed here for the first time for my wife’s birthday. The Facility is old, but that can’t be helped. The Room was exactly what we requested and was well cleaned. The bed firmness was just right, and we slept well. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The Onsen was great, but it was disappointing that one of the shower stations had weak water pressure. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We would like to stay again.

We chose this Hotel because the cost was about 30,000 yen for two people with dinner and breakfast for one night. The Room was clean, and having a separate toilet and bathroom was a plus. The bathroom had a bathtub that could be filled, and there was also space outside the tub to wash—something we hadn’t seen in other Hotels. For dinner, we could choose from 10 menu options, and the buffet-style breakfast was also delicious. The staff were pleasant and helpful as well. We would like to stay again if we have the chance.

There was a large parking lot behind the Hotel, which was convenient. The twin Room was a corner Room with windows on two sides, offering a great view and plenty of natural light. The space with the three-piece dining set was also spacious, making the Room feel open and airy. The only drawback was that the toilet was difficult to use.

The property had an Onsen, was affordable, and the Room was clean. There is no staff at the front desk at all times; you receive an email with a PIN code to enter through the automatic lock at the entrance, and the Room key is hanging inside. Although it is sealed in an envelope, I felt a bit concerned about security. As a man it was acceptable for me, but I would not really recommend it for women staying alone.

Excellent value for money. The automatic door at the entrance was out of order and had to be opened manually, and the Room bathroom was extremely small, but considering the low price, it didn’t bother me at all.

It was our first time in Nagasaki, and we visited as a family. We chose this Accommodation because we wanted to sleep together on tatami mats rather than stay at a Hotel. The Room was spotless, the futons were clean, and towels and amenities were well provided. Dinner and breakfast were excellent—true to its kappo style, with great care taken in the ingredients. The proprietress was friendly and easy to talk to, and the place has the charm of a good old Ryokan. Unzen and Shimabara are also wonderful areas, and we made great memories at the end of our trip. This Hotel, renovated from a merchant house over 170 years old, offers a unique and charming atmosphere. While the building retains its historical essence, the guest rooms and facilities are clean and designed for comfort, ensuring a pleasant stay. There was no television in the room; instead, magazines and books related to Nagasaki and Shimabara were provided. These were fascinating reads that enhanced the sense of escape from daily life. In fact, I even noted down some authors and titles of books I couldn't finish. What stood out most was how friendly and approachable the staff were. They shared many stories about Shimabara, making my time there truly special. Breakfast was produced by "Oryouri Madoka," their partner restaurant. The carefully prepared dishes were incredibly delicious—especially the rice cooked in an earthen pot, which had an unforgettable taste with perfectly textured grains. Any leftovers were kindly made into rice balls for me to take along on my journey home. This time I chose a breakfast-included Plan but learned that dinner by "Oryouri Madoka" is also available with another Plan. I would love to try it next time! Although my stay in Shimabara lasted only 24 hours, it was filled with rich experiences. Thank you very much!

I stayed here after hiking. The Accommodation doesn’t have an Onsen, but there are plenty of Onsens nearby, so it wasn’t a problem. It’s an old building, but it was very clean, and the hostess was friendly and easy to talk to, so I could relax even as a solo traveler. It’s rare to find this price with breakfast and dinner included. I’m satisfied.

We stayed with a family of 7. It was our second stay. In the room, there were kimonos and bows displayed in the alcove, flowers placed everywhere, and beanbags prepared... I was once again impressed by the traditional furnishings. It is no exaggeration to say that a place like TOKITOKI, where you can feel the care of the property everywhere without saying anything, is hard to find. The grandparents were engrossed in old stories while listening to records, and the children were fascinated by finding rare shells and medaka. (The breakfast brought from Matsuei Ryokan (Matsuei Ryokan) was also exquisite!) It is a property that I would really recommend to those who want to experience the original landscape of Japan away from the hustle and bustle. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.
