I live in Kobe and have been hiking Mt. Rokko and the surrounding mountains frequently for many years. I often passed by “Ocean Terrace Ajisai” and had been curious about it for a long time. After reading the Reviews, the food looked absolutely delicious. So I made a Reservation for our wedding anniversary. The meals more than lived up to their reputation—beautifully presented, wonderfully flavorful, and truly outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast left us happily stuffed. Everything was delicious, but I was especially impressed by how surprising and exquisite the fig dengaku and peach potage were—and it was my first time in my life to be genuinely amazed at how incredibly good Narazuke could be. The dashimaki tamago that appeared with a burst of steam when they opened the bamboo mat was also exceptional. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, sharing enjoyable stories that made us feel at ease. The view was slightly hazy when we arrived, but when I woke up around midnight and stepped out onto the terrace, there were the night lights from Kobe to Osaka—and a full moon! I was thrilled by both our good luck and its beauty. And in the morning, seeing trees wrapped in mist—Mt. Rokko like I’d never seen before—moved me again… I would love to stay again in a different season. When making the Reservation, I saw the Room size in square meters and assumed it would be compact, but I must have misread it—it felt very spacious and relaxing, which was wonderful too.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day; we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you for preparing a congratulatory card in the Room to celebrate my child’s acceptance. It was an unexpected surprise, and they were truly delighted and still have it proudly displayed. With sincere appreciation for your thoughtful kindness, we are considering visiting again at the end of the fiscal year. We look forward to staying with you again.

I stay here for about three nights around the same time every year, and the Hotel’s sincere hospitality never changes. They respond quickly even to minor issues, and their courteous service remains a consistent highlight. The well-rounded breakfast is another constant, as is the afternoon drink service—I'm impressed that they maintain such a high level of hospitality. I sometimes read Reviews of other hotels saying, “It wasn’t like this before,” but this Hotel never leaves me with that kind of disappointment. Overall, you can really feel the quality of this Hotel. It has everything that makes me want to choose it again for my next stay in Kobe.

This is my second stay. It’s a 10-minute train ride to Sannomiya, close to the nearest station, Shin-Nagata Station, and both the Room and Facility are clean. The staff are very courteous, and the breakfast is excellent. I’d like to stay here again next time.

I stayed at this Hotel the night before to catch the bus from Sannomiya to Awaji Island. The area in front of the station was under construction, so I had to take a detour, but it was conveniently located near the station and close to the bus stop. The building next door was also under construction, but it wasn’t an issue. There is a book lounge, which I was very happy about as a book-lounge fan. (I only found out after staying.) Drinks and two kinds of snacks were available free of charge. I didn’t use it, but there was also a sweets time, with local donuts served. Despite how it looks from the outside, it was a comfortable Hotel.

This was my first time staying here. When I made the Reservation, I requested a high floor, and my Room was upgraded. The view from the very high floor was truly wonderful (even though it rained). The Room was excellent, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious—just as highly rated. Thank you for such a pleasant stay. I’ll be back!

This was my first stay here. I arrived earlier than the check-in time and asked to leave my luggage, but since housekeeping had already finished, they kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room early. The Room was spotless and very comfortable. I was impressed that the in-room safe was designed to blend in with the interior so it wouldn’t disrupt the Room’s atmosphere. Also, while there were no drinks provided in the Room, there was a complimentary drink service in the lounge. From 17:00 to 20:00, happy hour included sparkling wine and other alcoholic beverages as well as light snacks, which felt like a great value. Whenever I went out or returned to the Hotel, staff always greeted me with “Have a nice day” and “Welcome back,” which made my stay very pleasant. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

I stayed here on a business trip. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were courteous, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The Room was clean and well maintained, and I had a pleasant stay. The location was convenient with easy access to nearby areas, which was very helpful. The property was quiet, and I was able to rest well. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. It was close to the station and Nankinmachi, and because it faces a wide street, I felt safe even at night. The Room was compact and clean. The guest-only lounge was so well equipped that I wondered if it was really free. We stayed as a group this time, so having a space where we could gather and chat was very helpful. If I had to mention one thing, I would like a shower cap to be provided in the Room. I only noticed after getting ready for a bath, and I hesitated to go all the way to the front desk to pick one up. Advice for future guests: If your vehicle is tall, please be aware that there is no nearby parking available for high-clearance vehicles.

The location is convenient for getting anywhere, and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. This was my second stay, and I would like to stay here again when I visit Kobe.

Being new, it felt very clean. The amenities were fully stocked, and the breakfast dashi chazuke was delicious; with croissants and various drinks, I ended up eating too much and was very satisfied. The large public bath also washed away my fatigue. The only downside is that the smoking area is outside after exiting the entrance, but for non-smokers this would probably be a perfect score. I think the best Business Hotel is one with no drawbacks. 5 minutes on foot to Hankyu Sannomiya Station.

Thanks to the excellent location and kind staff, we had a comfortable stay. The Facility was well equipped, and the curry was very delicious. Although the Room felt a bit small, our overall satisfaction was so high that it didn’t bother us at all, and it became a wonderful memory.

The front desk staff were very courteous, and I had a pleasant stay from start to finish. The amenities selection was extensive, which I appreciated, and the Room was clean and felt fresh—the moment I entered, it smelled wonderful and was very comfortable. At breakfast, the Hotel staff recommended dishes to try, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Also, being able to check out smoothly without stopping by the front desk was convenient and much appreciated.

I often stay here when visiting Kobe because it’s in a quiet area of Kitano, and the spacious layout makes it very relaxing. It takes about 12–13 minutes to get into the city, but it’s an easy walk downhill (though the uphill walk back is tough). There are also restaurants on site, and during my two-night stay I was able to enjoy both Japanese and Western cuisine.

The website says it is a 5-minute walk from the “West Exit” of JR Sannomiya Station, but Sannomiya has many lines and can be confusing for first-time visitors. I was traveling via JR, and I think it may be easier to exit from the JR Central Exit, go out to Ikuta Shinmichi, and head toward Motomachi (this is the route I used between the station and the Hotel afterward). The JR Sannomiya West Exit is hard to find unless you go down from the platform, and getting to the Hotel through the complex area under the tracks was difficult to follow even with a map app. The Hotel staff were very kind and made my stay comfortable. The coffee service was much appreciated.

It’s a very convenient location, close to Kobe Station and within walking distance of Mosaic and other attractions. I have stayed here every year since it was Crown Palace. In the past, the in-room facilities felt a bit outdated, and I was especially concerned about the plumbing. This time, with the change in management, the facilities have been renewed and I was able to stay comfortably. I usually choose a Plan that includes breakfast, but this time I also had dinner once at the on-site restaurant. Since it has only been about six months since the management change, they seemed short-staffed, and the service felt somewhat lacking. We had dinner as a group of 10, but they said they couldn’t prepare course menus for everyone, so we ordered à la carte instead. The food was very delicious. Breakfast on both mornings was a buffet at the same restaurant, but I felt the selection was slightly limited. The omelet made by the chef was excellent. I would like to stay again next time as well, so I hope to see further improvements going forward.

Three of us stayed here as friends. We made a Reservation for the executive floor, so all three of us had spacious beds and a large Room. There were many perks, and we were able to fully enjoy our time. The large public bath also helped us relax both physically and mentally. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and it wasn’t crowded, so we could enjoy it at a leisurely pace. When we visit Kobe again, we would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed in a Room with a semi-open-air bath. It was very clean and stylish. The bath was incredibly relaxing, and since there was also a sauna in the Room, I got to try a sauna for the first time in my life. The cute little duck we could take home was also adorable. All of the staff were truly polite and kind, which really impressed us. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again when we travel to Kobe!

This was our first stay, and my husband was especially pleased with how spacious the Room was. There was plenty of space to store our luggage, and we were able to relax comfortably. It was also convenient that the washbasin area was separate rather than inside the unit bath. The bathroom and toilet were neither particularly good nor bad. The front desk staff were calm and pleasant. Breakfast was just the right amount. The traditional key-style Room key and the age of the building are noticeable, but if those points don’t bother you, it’s a comfortable place to stay. It’s very close to Motomachi Station, the shopping street, and Nankinmachi, making it easy to get around. It’s a Hotel we would like to use again. Thank you very much.

The large public bath next door has several options—mist sauna, carbonated radon, bubbling baths, and more—so I was very satisfied. The water quality suited me as well. The massage chairs are 300 yen for 15 minutes; they seem to be good machines, and I really enjoyed them. However… it seems one of the large public baths is currently under repair, so men and women can only use it on alternating days. On women’s days, men can only use the indoor bath in the accommodation building (just a tub about 10 meters long). And vice versa. If you’re staying overnight, you can use the large public bath on your way there or back. But if you go all the way there and end up with only the indoor bath… that would be a big disappointment. I don’t think the website mentioned any repairs… Even though they do rounds with free drinks, that service is also out of order. It makes me wonder if they’ve stopped it to cut costs… That said, I was extremely satisfied. There’s nothing around except Taizanji Temple. The Room key is old and hard to turn. Locally grown vegetables sell out quickly. There are enough staff members, and their service is good. I found myself wondering how they manage to run the place… But that’s fine. Probably because I was happy with the large public bath, the massage chairs, and the karaoke room. Breakfast doesn’t have many items, but it’s enough for me. The indoor bath felt like having a private reservation. If you think of it as a therapeutic hot-spring stay, it has everything you need. For me, it was worth going out of my way. As for maintenance issues—please check properly before you go. If things don’t work out as expected, you might end up seriously upset. Still, spending a whole day doing nothing—I had a great time.
