This was my third stay. The location is convenient, the rooms are well cleaned, and it was very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. The large public bath also seemed to be cleaned regularly, so I could relax comfortably. I would like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

It was even closer to Kyoto Station than I expected, which was very convenient. When I stayed, it was hot, and leaving my luggage in the car could have damaged my souvenirs. Also, since the parking lot was some distance from the hotel, I felt it wasn’t safe to leave my belongings in the car, so I carried everything to the hotel. It ended up being an unusually large amount of luggage for a one-night stay during a multi-day trip. I may not look like I have any difficulties, but I have limited use of my hands and eyesight, so carrying all that luggage to the hotel was tough. However, the front desk staff helped me take it to my room, which was a huge help. There was a washing machine in the room and I wanted to use it, but I couldn’t figure out how and gave up. The refrigerator was a convenient size—especially in summer when there are lots of things you want to keep cold. The bathroom also had a spacious bathtub and a separate washing area, so I could relax comfortably. Having the toilet and bath separated is great. One issue for me was that the hand soap at the sink was placed low down, with nowhere at sink height to set it. Water ended up getting everywhere on the counter, so I put a towel underneath—sorry about that. Maybe I just wasn’t using it properly. Because it wasn’t right along a main road, it was quiet and I slept well. If you can stay this close to Kyoto Station, I definitely recommend it. It’s also convenient for trips from here to Osaka, Shiga, Nara, or Kobe. Even if you stay multiple nights and buy lots of sweets or souvenirs as gifts (maybe too many), that large refrigerator can keep them chilled without any problem.
