I have stayed here several times, and everything was wonderful again this time. I accidentally left something behind when checking out, but the staff noticed it and it was a great help. Thank you for everything. This is the Accommodation I always recommend whenever friends ask for a place to stay. I will be back again.

This was our first family trip to Shimoda, and everyone agreed the Hotel was beyond reproach—we liked it so much that we returned earlier than we usually do on trips. We were also traveling with my grandmother, who has difficulty walking, but the staff provided a bath chair and thoughtfully arranged seating during meals, so we were able to stay in complete comfort. Many of the staff members were from overseas, but everyone greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service, making our stay truly satisfying.

This was our first trip with our Pacific parrotlet. After researching online, we found this Hotel recommended as a must-visit spot, so we decided to stay here. As this stay also celebrated our wedding anniversary, we arranged a cake, and we were pleasantly surprised when the Hotel provided sparkling wine. Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. It became a truly memorable trip.

I stayed here two years ago and it was amazing. This time, even though it was raining due to back-to-back typhoons, it didn’t matter at all—our stay was wonderful again. I heard the interior was fully renovated about a year and a half ago, and the Room has been updated with a modern feel. It’s stairs up to around the 5th floor, but each step is low, so getting around isn’t difficult. Our two dogs get excited the moment they arrive when they like an Accommodation, and they were thrilled this time as well. They even used the provided toilet just like at home. Since they’re timid, we didn’t use the dog run. I tried three Onsen baths, and all of them were perfect—the temperature was just right. The food is simply outstanding. The sashimi is expertly prepared, and there’s more than enough overall—I couldn’t finish everything. I especially love how Shiki no Kura serves abalone, and it was truly delicious again this time. Even compared with top Hotels and Ryokan across The whole country, this place ranks among the best. Breakfast was also excellent: a selection of side dishes that anyone would enjoy paired with rice cooked in a clay pot. The staff’s guidance and conversation were great, as were their thoughtful touches in the Room. After breakfast I took a nap and checked out at 11:00—honestly, I relaxed even more than my dogs did. The building itself does feel old in places; when I wiped the floor it came up dirty. But everywhere has something these days due to staffing shortages, so it didn’t bother me. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that prices fluctuate quite a bit during Kawazu cherry blossom season and other peak times. If it were always reasonably priced, I’d make this my regular go-to (laugh). I will definitely be back again.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Everything was outstanding—the beautiful Room, the delicious meals, the private bath, and all the Hotel staff. The food in particular was amazing; the course meal made generous use of ingredients from Shimoda, and we could truly savor Shimoda’s richness from start to finish. The Hotel staff were also very kind—helping us with a small mishap in the bath (lol) and explaining each dish clearly. My girlfriend was thrilled, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

Each private villa Room luxuriously features both an indoor Onsen bath with free-flowing spring water and an open-air bath. Some Rooms even have a pond, where you can feed the koi and enjoy a truly special escape from everyday life. Another highlight is the craftsmanship throughout each villa Room—every fitting and light fixture remains beautiful as a work of art, even with the passage of time. You’ll also be soothed by seasonal flowers and the songs of birds in every season. For dining, we made a Reservation in advance and walked about 10 minutes to an Italian restaurant (Antica Trattoria Dal Pirata). It was excellent, so we highly recommend it as well.

Although we arrived much later than our scheduled check-in time, the staff kindly assisted us without any sign of displeasure. We are truly grateful. The three of us stayed, and the price per person was very affordable. Despite the low cost, it was a comfortable and wonderful Accommodation. We would definitely like to stay again next time. We stayed here on a trip! The first thing that surprised us was how spotless the villa was and how beautiful the design is. The ceilings are high with a partially open atrium, letting in plenty of natural light. No matter where you stand in the living room, the interior design looks stunning—it really lifted our spirits! As sauna lovers, we honestly didn’t have very high expectations for an in-villa sauna, but it exceeded them. Although compact, it has enough seating for about six people, so we could relax comfortably with plenty of space. You can also set the temperature inside and enjoy it at your own pace—it felt amazing! Right outside the sauna is the pool, so we used the pool and jacuzzi as a cold plunge and fully refreshed. Enjoying fresh air while looking up at the sky and watching the pool’s surface in this private space—where you hear only birds and nature—was an incredible experience. We bought local craft beer at a supermarket just 2–3 minutes away by car, and that post-sauna drink was exceptional—honestly one of the best we’ve ever had! We enjoyed BBQ for dinner and slept soundly at night. We had such a fulfilling time just staying at the villa, but since we’re greedy travelers, we also stopped by nearby Shirahama Beach to play for a bit and visited some famous waterfalls before heading home. We were highly satisfied with everything—the villa’s design, Facility, and location!!
