As we entered the country that day from overseas and it was quite a distance, getting there was a bit challenging, but after actually staying there, we were truly satisfied. Our train was delayed and we missed the shuttle bus time, but you waited for us at the station, which really moved us. All of the staff were very kind and took care of us warmly and attentively throughout our stay. The food was delicious, the water in the large public bath was clean, and in the quiet, relaxing atmosphere we were able to unwind at our own pace. Our whole family had a comfortable and enjoyable time, and it became a wonderful memory. We would love to make time to visit again. Thank you very much for giving us such a lovely stay.

About 30-plus years ago, when it was still Imai-hama Tokyu Resort, our three-generation family of eight—including young children—spent several summers here. We played on the beach and in the hotel pool, enjoyed the large public bath, and the kids had a great time in our maisonette room—wonderful memories we’ll never forget. This time, for the first time in nine years, my husband and I stayed as a couple. The weather was perfectly clear and the ocean view was stunning. The bright atmosphere felt just as it used to be, and we enjoyed delicious meals and the open-air bath while spending a relaxing time together.

You can see the ocean from the Hotel Room, and if you walk a little way down the slope, the sea is right in front of you—perfect for picking up a coffee at a convenience store and relaxing on the beach. Dinner was plentiful, featuring simmered golden eye snapper (a bit sweet for our taste), spiny lobster, abalone, and more. It was also nice that we could use a voucher to choose items such as tempura, seared bonito, or dessert. There was an Onsen as well as an open-air bath, and we enjoyed them many times. Breakfast was buffet-style; the freshly grilled dried horse mackerel was especially delicious. They also had organic coffee, which we enjoyed. Thanks to the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail, our stay was very comfortable.

I’m a repeat guest at Prince Hotels. On the day of my stay, I suddenly felt like going to Shimoda and made a last-minute reservation. Since the weather was clear, I enjoyed a sky full of stars from the balcony, and in the morning I was able to see a wonderful sunrise. It was a shame that the large hot spring bath didn’t have an open-air bath, but I was very satisfied with the horizon stretching out below. Shirahama Shrine is nearby, so I walked over to visit it, then enjoyed another morning soak and had plenty of time to relax until the 11:00 check-out. From reception to the housekeeping staff, everyone greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome—truly what you’d expect from a Prince Hotel. A highly recommended hotel.

Our family of four stayed in the Kurofune Suite for two nights and three days. We found this room last year and had been hoping to stay here. It was spacious and very clean, and outside the window was the “Kurofune” (the Susquehanna). It truly was an amazing space! Because we stayed two nights, we spent the entire second day in the room, enjoying the open-air bath, hinoki bath (cold plunge), and sauna all day long. We cooled down on the reclining chairs in the large changing area, relaxed in the massage chair, and lounged on the Yogibo—each of us able to enjoy a wonderfully luxurious time. It was also great that amenities included CHANEL, Dior, Shu Uemura, and more. We were happy that on the second day not only towels were replenished, but also mineral water as well as beer and juice in the refrigerator—plus different snacks and sweets from day one. The meals offered a wide variety of dishes with beautiful presentation. Everything was delicious, and both days featured completely different menus (with different ingredients), which showed the chef’s thoughtful care. All of the staff were kind and courteous, with heartfelt hospitality. Everyone’s smiles were wonderful. After breakfast on day three, as we were leaving the restaurant someone said to us, “Thank you for staying with us for two days,” which surprised us—in a good way—and made us feel truly grateful as well. The hotel itself has a charming retro Showa-era feel due to its age, but it has become a place we definitely want to return to. (It’s a shame I couldn’t upload photos for some reason.)

The views of the islands in the bay and the Izu Seven Islands are stunning. The attentive service down to the smallest details and the kindness of the staff were wonderful, and I would definitely like to stay again. One concern: when entering for dinner, a tall bearded white male staff member spoke in an overbearing manner and told us to wait outside. Please address and improve this. A female staff member quickly came over and kindly assisted us. Aside from that, the food was excellent, and the open-air bath was amazing—I would love to return again.

We stayed during the Obon holidays on a breakfast-only plan. The building is a bit old, but the Room had been renovated and was very clean, with stylish interiors and a great view—truly wonderful. The baths were also clean; they operate on an alternating schedule for men and women, and we were especially impressed by the panoramic bath on the 6th floor with its amazing views. Breakfast was very luxurious and satisfying, featuring simmered splendid alfonsino (kinmedai), horse mackerel namero, ara-jiru fish soup, plus a buffet. We would like to come again.

The infinity Onsen was wonderful. It was the perfect temperature, and my husband and I stayed in for two hours. Since Onsen are usually separated by gender, I’m usually alone wherever we go, but this was the first time we could enjoy an Onsen together. The buffet didn’t have a huge variety, but the individual sashimi servings were very delicious, and for someone my age it was more than enough. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

Stayed overnight on a touring trip It was convenient that I could park my motorcycle right in front of the hotel entrance. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with no view (twin + 4.5 tatami mats), but it was clean and had a raised tatami area, so I could relax. It was also helpful to have space to spread out my luggage. Since I was basically just sleeping there, having no view wasn’t an issue. It was my first time trying the tea in the room (Guri-cha), and I was impressed. It was delicious. The nearest convenience store is a bit far, so it really helped that there were vending machines for drinks as well as ice cream (Haagen-Dazs and Coolish), cup noodles, and alcohol. I did notice an odor from the toilet in the unit bath. With the door closed, it didn’t reach the room. For dinner, I ate leisurely in Shimoda town, and for breakfast I added the hotel buffet. It was inexpensive and offered both Japanese and Western options, so I was satisfied. I’d like to use this hotel again for touring.

I have stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels, but this was such a wonderful Ryokan that I wanted to write a Review for the first time. The Shuttle Service staff, front desk staff, dining service staff, and kitchen staff were all courteous, kind, and attentive. The property was also impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. I would love to stay here again.

I walked from the station to the Hotel while sightseeing along the way. I visited a shrine before checking in, and when I did check in, my Room had a view of that shrine. Since it was easy to get there from the parking lot side, I thought I might have been better off checking in first, but the view of the sea from the slope below the shrine was wonderful, so it felt like I got to enjoy it twice. The meals were served in small dishes that were easy to pick up, so dining went smoothly. Everything was delicious and very satisfying. The bath was also great, but if I had one request, the shower position was low and a bit difficult to use. Since it was a Sunday stay, it was reasonably priced and much appreciated. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

It was exactly as expected, and the food was delicious! Even though the fresh sashimi and sushi were all-you-can-eat, the meat was also all-you-can-eat—amazing! I’d love to come back again. The private open-air bath in the room was great as well. Our whole family enjoyed it.

Shuttle service to Animal Kingdom and the station was very convenient. The meals were delicious, and I was able to relax. I really appreciated being able to borrow a USB cable. The customer service was excellent.
