Each private villa Room luxuriously features both an indoor Onsen bath with free-flowing spring water and an open-air bath. Some Rooms even have a pond, where you can feed the koi and enjoy a truly special escape from everyday life. Another highlight is the craftsmanship throughout each villa Room—every fitting and light fixture remains beautiful as a work of art, even with the passage of time. You’ll also be soothed by seasonal flowers and the songs of birds in every season. For dining, we made a Reservation in advance and walked about 10 minutes to an Italian restaurant (Antica Trattoria Dal Pirata). It was excellent, so we highly recommend it as well.

Stayed overnight on a touring trip. You can park your motorcycle right in front of the hotel entrance, which is convenient. We stayed in a Japanese-Western room with no view (twin + 4.5 tatami) (Japanese-Western room), but it was clean and had a raised tatami area, so we could relax. It was helpful to have space to spread out our luggage. Since we were basically just sleeping there, having no view wasn’t an issue. I was impressed to find guricha tea in the room for the first time—it was delicious. The convenience store is a bit far, so it was great that there were vending machines for drinks as well as ice cream (Haagen-Dazs and Coolish), cup noodles, and alcohol. I did notice an odor from the toilet in the unit bath. With the door closed, it didn’t reach the room. We took our time having dinner in Shimoda town, and added the hotel breakfast buffet—an affordable breakfast with both Japanese and Western options, which we enjoyed. I’d like to use this hotel again for touring.

It was very comfortable.

I have stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels, but this was such a wonderful Ryokan that I wanted to write a Review for the first time. The Shuttle Service staff, front desk staff, dining service staff, and kitchen staff were all courteous, kind, and attentive. The property was also impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. I would love to stay here again.

I walked from the station to the Hotel while sightseeing along the way. I visited a shrine before checking in, and when I did check in, my Room had a view of that shrine. Since it was easy to get there from the parking lot side, I thought I might have been better off checking in first, but the view of the sea from the slope below the shrine was wonderful, so it felt like I got to enjoy it twice. The meals were served in small dishes that were easy to pick up, so dining went smoothly. Everything was delicious and very satisfying. The bath was also great, but if I had one request, the shower position was low and a bit difficult to use. Since it was a Sunday stay, it was reasonably priced and much appreciated. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

The meals were delicious, and we were told the white rice was from Mishima—it was exceptionally tasty. I’m glad I was able to refresh and recharge.

They responded thoroughly to the various requests I made before my stay, which I really appreciated. The Facility conditions were excellent, and the staff’s service was the best of any pet Hotel I have stayed at. Although it is a bit farther than where I live, I would definitely like to stay again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much for all your help this time.

Thank you for taking care of us for two days. Both dinner and breakfast looked wonderful and tasted amazing. We could really feel the care put into each dish. The Room was clean, and we were able to relax in the private rock bath. The staff were kind—this Accommodation deserves five stars in every way. We would love to stay again.

The owner was friendly, and I had a very pleasant stay! The room was well-cleaned, and the rock bath was very relaxing. I would love to visit again for sightseeing next time!

It’s very close to the station, which is convenient. The Room was clean and even provided pajamas. The shared space had a microwave, a water dispenser, and chopsticks, and I felt this Accommodation offers excellent hospitality. All the staff were very kind, making it an Accommodation I’d want to stay at again. There’s a 24-hour supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away, as well as a drugstore nearby, so it should be easy even for longer stays.

This was my first time staying here, and I stayed in a villa. The staff’s service and the reception were great, and everything was very clean, which left a really good impression! The Room was very spacious, and the bath and toilet were also clean! I don’t really have any complaints, but if I had to mention one thing: this time we brought our own food and had a BBQ, and I thought it would be nice if the electric grill grate had slightly finer gaps. It was my first stay, but I had a wonderful time. Overall, it was such a great Accommodation that I’d recommend it to others!

Shuttle service to Animal Kingdom and the station was very convenient. The meals were delicious, and I was able to relax. I really appreciated being able to borrow a USB cable. The customer service was excellent.

I love Shimoda and visit every year for swimming with my children and grandchildren, and this was our first stay at Sea Shell Vacation House. It was a wonderful vacation rental—very clean, bright, and right in front of the ocean. We planned to have a BBQ, but we got tired after spending so much time at the beach, so we grilled meat in the kitchen and cooked dried fish we bought from a local shop. It made for a fun and delicious dinner. There are two bathrooms as well, so we didn’t have to wait long for our turn. We’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day to see the first sunrise of the year. The location was excellent, with a stunning ocean view right in front. While some of the facilities showed signs of age, the accommodation overall was clean and well-maintained. As for meals, they were hearty and absolutely delicious, living up to the reputation of this accommodation. The food was so good that it made me want more rice! However, I recommend avoiding snacks before meals as you might not be able to fully enjoy such a wonderful feast if you're too full. I would love to stay here again not only during New Year but also in summer!

With a 1-year-old child, we were concerned about dining without disturbing others, but the thoughtful arrangements allowed us to enjoy our meals peacefully. The food was delicious! The room initially appeared to have separated beds in the photos, but they were arranged together so our family could sleep side by side. This wasn’t something we had requested in advance, so it was a wonderful surprise. There were three private baths available, and we could use them without any crowding. The hospitality exceeded 100 points—everyone was smiling and incredibly kind! We were lucky to secure this accommodation just before a long weekend. We would love to stay here again when visiting Izu. Thank you very much! Please take care of yourself and keep up the great work!

They said the breakfast and dinner were delicious. It was also very convenient for going to the beach (paid parking for cars). The staff were kind. The Room was spacious, and they said the view was great. They said it offered excellent value for money and was the best. Thank you very much.

A perfect accommodation where you can wake up and check the waves of the beautiful Shirahama sea. Please note that there are no room wear provided, but bringing your own sweatpants will solve this easily. If there are no waves or you arrive early, you can enjoy food and drinks at the café downstairs!

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. True to the “Quarter Rest” concept, it was a wonderful space where we could reset both mind and body away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What impressed us most was the exceptional sense of privacy throughout the facilities. The flow from the authentic barrel sauna to the pool was perfect, allowing us to enjoy an ultimate relaxation experience while taking in lush mountain greenery and a clear sky all to ourselves. With a jacuzzi and hot spring bath as well, it was truly soothing. The room featured refined arch design and calm, modern interiors, and came fully equipped with a professional-grade kitchen, BBQ facilities, and even a home theater. It’s a luxurious place where you can simply gaze at the scenery and take deep breaths without being disturbed by anyone. Highly recommended not only for girls’ trips, but also for anniversaries with someone special or as a rewarding getaway with a group.

The facility was well-equipped, very clean, and completely odor-free. Having a BBQ space with ingredients provided was extremely convenient. Additionally, staying here comes with the perk of receiving discount services at restaurants in Tsumekizaki, which was a delightful bonus. However, the number of buses decreases from afternoon to evening, requiring a considerable walk from the bus stop to the accommodation. It is recommended to plan your time and transportation carefully in advance.
