We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in late August while sightseeing around Suwa, Matsumoto, Kamikochi, and Azumino. The Hotel is still fairly new and very clean, and the in-room Facility amenities were more than sufficient. The bathroom in particular had a large bathtub, making it spacious and comfortable even for showering. We had breakfast, and while the selection wasn’t very large, each item was delicious. We especially enjoyed the thoughtfully prepared options such as smoothies made with Nagano-grown fruit and freshly baked waffles. The staff were also extremely polite and helpful. We accidentally soiled some linens due to our own carelessness, but when we mentioned it at checkout, they kindly accepted it without any additional charges. As for amenities, there was no toner or lotion provided, but I think it’s not an issue if you bring your usual products. Room cleaning is provided once every three days, but towels are replaced daily. However, it was a bit disappointing that the bath mat was not replaced. Also, the system of leaving trash bins and used towels outside the door as-is was a little hard to understand. There are many supermarkets around the Hotel area where we could buy local deli foods and souvenirs at reasonable prices. There was also a nearby ultra-discount supermarket called Lamu that I had personally wanted to visit at least once—and I finally got to go. By car, it’s convenient: about 30 minutes to Matsumoto city or toward Suwa, and around an hour to Kamikochi or Azumino. The pricing felt fair overall, and we were able to use a hometown tax donation (furusato nozei) coupon as well, which made it an excellent value. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to use this Accommodation again if we have another opportunity.

I stayed in the new building twin Room. As always, I was very satisfied with the tea area, the Room, and the bath. My friend who stayed with me also really liked it. Next time, I’d like to relax with a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much to all the staff.

The Hotel building is not large, but it was conveniently located very close to Matsumoto Station. The Accommodation rate was affordable, the cleaning was thorough and everything was clean, and the Room had the minimum necessary amenities. The shower water pressure was also sufficient. The staff were also very pleasant at check-out. I wish there had been coffee service. If I have a chance to visit Matsumoto again, I would like to stay here again.

The full-course dinner in the evening was our child’s first experience, and it was a wonderful one. Everything at breakfast was delicious. The restaurant staff were warm and attentive, which really impressed us. We would definitely like to visit again.

The light breakfast was just right. The Facility felt a bit old, but it was clean so it didn’t bother me, and it was a great deal because I could make a Reservation and visit the Onsen at an affiliated Hotel. I’d like to stay here again the next time I visit Matsumoto.

We stayed in a private cottage with an exclusive dog run! The cottage was very clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable.\nDinner was catered in the Room, but there were no drink services, so we went to a convenience store in the evening to buy some. We strongly felt it was necessary to bring our own items in advance.\nThe reception was far from the Room, and the guidance felt a bit rough, so we rated it 4 stars. However, we were very satisfied with the Room and found the hinoki bath soothing. We will stay again!

I stayed here the night before my trip to Kamikochi. I arrived a little early, but the staff kindly accommodated me and let me into my Room ahead of time. Thank you very much.

The Room is clean, and the amenities are well stocked. The breakfast curry was very delicious. Convenience stores and restaurants are also just a 2–3 minute walk away, so there’s no problem.

I stayed here to visit Matsumoto Castle the next morning. It was closer than I expected, and it was very convenient that I could keep my car parked there even after checkout. The breakfast bread was also delicious.

I’ve stayed at about 80% of the Hotels in Matsumoto, and this one felt like a top-tier, truly great find. Major chains are reassuring because they’re standardized, but this Hotel has a distinct character you won’t find there. - The Room is extremely spacious for the price. The bath is also clean. A curtain can separate the entry corridor area from the Room. - From upper floors you can see Matsumoto Castle—great views. It’s a shame that on the Northern Alps side, apartment buildings block most of the view. - Even with a no-breakfast Plan, you can sign up at the front desk for ¥550 and enjoy a buffet worth well over ¥1,000. *You can have Nozawana pickles every morning. The menu changes daily.* - The lobby has Matsumoto folk-craft furniture tables and chairs, creating a calm atmosphere that feels very “Matsumoto.” - The staff service is excellent. - It’s a bit farther from Matsumoto Station than other Hotels, but it’s closer to Matsumoto Castle and museums, and it’s also right near the downtown area. - A convenience store is nearby. One request: it would be even better if there were a large public bath.

This was our first stay here. I stayed with my parents in their 70s and my two daughters. It was about a 20-minute drive from the Azumino Interchange into the mountains, and we arrived quickly. Surrounded by mountains, the air was wonderfully clear. We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room for five people, and the spacious room was comfortable even for three generations. There was a kitchen with a refrigerator and sink, which made it easy to quickly wash tea cups and other items—very convenient. For meals, we chose the restaurant buffet. Everyone could pick as much as they wanted of what they liked, which was very satisfying. My family also said both the dishes and desserts were delicious. The play area was a space where my daughters (20 and 12) could enjoy themselves together. It’s a Hotel where each generation can have fun or relax at their own pace, and next time we’re planning a Multiple Night Stay to do some sightseeing. Thank you for such a comfortable time.

We stayed as a family. The front desk staff were kind and courteous, which made us feel at ease. For parking, we unloaded our luggage in the lot across from the Hotel and left the car key at the front desk. There are many izakaya nearby, so finding dinner wasn’t a problem, but it was so crowded that you may not get into popular places without a Reservation. If we have the chance, we would like to stay again.

About a 10-minute walk from the station. It’s small and feels a bit dated, but it’s clean and pleasant. The staff are sincere and very helpful. I stayed alone, and I was surprised by how spacious the Room was. (6,400 yen) The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and tasty as well. It was a shame I couldn’t use the public bath due to my schedule. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Matsumoto.

Weekdays only: Early-morning curry from 6:00 to 6:30 It was very delicious. I’d love to have another serving.

It was very relaxing. Our dog also quickly stretched out and made itself comfortable. However, when I asked about parking, I was told to park in any available space in the shop’s parking lot, so I did. But since it was a Multiple Night Stay, when we went out during the day and came back, customers had parked there and we had to wait for a space to open up. It wasn’t clear whether there is dedicated parking for guests or not.

I was able to rest well on the fluffy futon, just as described in the Review. I expected a 4.5-tatami Room, but they provided a 6.5-tatami Room instead. It was great to have free drinks, and the bath was available from night through morning. The Facility was clean and uncluttered, which made me feel at ease.

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.

I found this Facility as a pet-friendly option in the Suwa–Matsumoto area that seemed easy to use and reasonably priced. As you make your way through a maze-like residential neighborhood, the space suddenly opens up and you’ll find the Facility there. The Room is small but unique and comfortable, truly living up to its name as a “secret base you can stay in.” The Room is kept very clean, with amenities and supplies well provided. Despite its size, it’s arranged so you can move efficiently and relax with ease. It was a great example of how to make the most of a compact Room.

This was my second stay in two years. The services are minimal, but everything was clean and comfortable enough. I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

Although the rain and thick white clouds sometimes blocked the view completely, the views from the Room overlooking the town, from the restaurant, from the lobby in front of the front desk, and from the open-air bath were all wonderful.
