For trips with our dog, we always choose the Regina group Hotels for their outstanding staff hospitality. This time, we finally made our first visit to this property, which we’d had our eye on for a while. With just 10 Rooms, it’s a compact Facility where you can complete everything—check-in and check-out, an open-air Onsen bath with excellent water quality, and carefully crafted kaiseki cuisine—all in your Room. The morning soak while enjoying views of the Hakone outer rim mountains from our second-floor Room was simply the best.

I had long wanted to visit the Fujiya Hotel, and I finally had the chance. Everything was wonderful—the Room, the meals, and the service—and it made me want to come back again and try a different restaurant next time. We stayed for a family birthday, so I ordered a birthday cake in advance, and thanks to your help in creating a festive atmosphere and taking photos for us, it became a truly memorable experience. Thank you very much. The Fujiya Hotel was excellent overall, but one disappointing moment was at breakfast: a female staff member in a white blazer came out through the door next to Kikka-so and walked away without acknowledging me even when I greeted her. I would like to visit again in another season.

From the moment we boarded the elevator to the Ryokan from in front of Sounzan Station, it was an exciting experience. The Accommodation and all the staff welcomed us with a warm atmosphere, and everything—the Room, the carefully prepared meals, the Onsen, and the views—was wonderfully soothing. We were able to spend a slow, quiet, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

I always look forward to visiting because the meals are delicious. The open-air bath was set to a “lukewarm summer bath,” probably around 38°C... I relaxed in the milky-white Onsen while enjoying the view. I’d like to visit again while the “lukewarm summer bath” is still available.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

I stayed here with my wife for our wedding anniversary. The Room and the in-room bath were very clean, and we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful time. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious no matter what we tried, and we were truly impressed. All of the staff were kind, and greeted us every time we saw them, so even though it was just a one-night stay, we felt very comfortable throughout. If we have the opportunity, I sincerely hope to stay here again. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience.

This Hotel feels like a private villa that always welcomes you home. There is no open-air bath, but the Onsen is quiet and relaxing. The tasteful design makes it easy to unwind. We’ve been having more meals and drinks in the living room, and it would be even more enjoyable with a bit more variety on the menu. The Shuttle Service from Odawara is very convenient.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and everything—from the building and location to the service and meals—was outstanding. They even took photos for her birthday celebration and handed us the developed prints at the end, which I’ve never experienced elsewhere and felt was an especially thoughtful touch. I love traveling and have stayed at many Hotels, including luxury properties such as The Ritz-Carlton, Hoshinoya, and Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto, but this was impressive enough to rank in my personal top five. I’d love to return again someday. Thank you very much.

We usually travel to the Hakone area a few times a year as a couple, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as outstanding as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From a wonderful commemorative photo for our celebration to a heartfelt message card with the photo attached, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are sincerely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was impeccable, allowing us to relax and enjoy unhurried time. Our assigned staff member was genuinely kind and always smiling; we enjoyed our conversations and were deeply impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details—our whole family was moved. The guidance through the property—like a paradise filled with an extraordinary atmosphere—was also thorough, and everyone we met greeted us with smiles that put us at ease. Our Room was very spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotless. The bed was ideal for us—not too soft and not sinking in—so it was extremely comfortable. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations, so I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, the Room included its own private open-air bath with free-flowing Onsen sourced directly from 100% natural spring water (no added water or heating)—a superb and rare Dōgashima Onsen often described as “legendary.” We could indulge in Onsen whenever we liked. In addition, there was an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, so our family could enjoy everything together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care, filled with creative ideas and thoughtful touches from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. Based on our past experiences, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

Each dish was beautifully presented, and we couldn’t help but admire how delicious everything looked. The dobin-mushi was especially outstanding—I’d love to have it again. In our favorite Room, which feels so calm and relaxing, we were able to enjoy the bath many times and felt completely refreshed. The in-Room bath is spacious and very comfortable—one of our absolute favorites—but the view from the open-air bath in the large public bath is breathtaking as well! Thank you again for everything.

My mother and I stayed for one night in August 2026. After we arrived, we were shown to the larger Room. We truly appreciated this unexpected kindness. The garden was beautifully maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time there. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were just right—not too much. The cuisine was classic and seasonal. After the bath, we went to the lounge, where there was a wonderful selection of art books and magazines, and the complimentary drinks were excellent. The mountain views and garden from there were so beautiful that they made us forget our everyday fatigue. The service felt just right—neither too close nor too distant. Since it was drizzling the next day, we were also grateful for the service of being driven to the Hakone Open-Air Museum. One suggestion: it would be even better if the labels for the shampoo and conditioner in the bath area were easier to understand (other older guests also seemed confused). I would love to visit your new Accommodation near Mt. Fuji as well. Thank you very much.

Choosing this Hotel for my first solo trip to Hakone was the right decision. There are relaxing spaces throughout the spacious grounds, and the all-inclusive plan is also very appealing. Getting around inside the Hotel involves stairs and covers a wide area—perfect for getting some exercise! I’ve made another Reservation, so I look forward to staying again.

We stayed here on a trip that also celebrated a family occasion. Everything was wonderful—the Onsen, the spacious Room, the view, and the staff’s service. The building and Rooms have a sense of history, but everything was thoroughly cleaned, so we felt comfortable staying there. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful as well. The portions were very generous, so I think even men will feel completely full. Women can probably finish it too if they try hard. At dinner, we ordered an upgrade to a parfait with Daiginjo pudding (I believe it was 1,000 yen), but we were already full before it arrived and ate it anyway, so we couldn’t really enjoy the taste—something I regret. I would have been happy if it had less whipped cream and cost around 500 yen. All of the staff were very kind, and there were also international staff in the restaurant, so it seems like a safe choice for travelers from overseas as well—I highly recommend this place. Everyone greeted us with smiles, which made us very happy. We made wonderful memories with my mother! We would love to stay again—thank you very much!

We chose the Surprise Plan for a celebration, and the communication was very courteous. The Room and open-air bath were spacious, relaxing, and very clean. We were also happy to have plenty of free drinks. We chose the wagyu course, and everything was delicious. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them as well. Being able to adjust the open-air bath ourselves meant we could always soak at just the right temperature, which was a great feature. Breakfast was also excellent. We felt refreshed in both body and mind, the surprise was a success, and we’re truly glad we chose this place. We’d love to stay in one of the other Rooms too!

Herbal medicinal teas before and after meals are also a nice touch. At dinner, you can drink as much as you like of your preferred beverages, including alcohol, and every dish was truly delicious. Although we stayed on a weekday, they kindly served us the weekend-only sashimi as well, which we enjoyed with fresh wasabi! The baths were crowded, so we couldn’t relax as much as we’d hoped, but overall we were satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the futon in the Japanese-style room was quite thin.

My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

We were very satisfied with everything—the staff’s service, the atmosphere of the Accommodation, and the meals. We had an unexpected issue on our side, but they responded kindly and supportively, and we are truly grateful.

This was an Accommodation I was very satisfied with. The private bath and the in-room bath were especially wonderful, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Overall, I felt it offered great value for the price. For breakfast, rice, miso soup, raw egg, and natto are available for unlimited refills, but the initial serving was already generous enough that refills weren’t necessary—I was very satisfied. For dinner, you can choose from two course options; however, at check-in on the first day, the sushi & shabu-shabu course was fully booked. Even so, both courses were excellent in both quality and portion size, and everything was delicious. The amenities were also well stocked, and I appreciated the snack service as well as the wide selection of yukata provided. There were complimentary ice cream and coffee services along with late-night soba throughout my stay, which made me feel how extensive the services were. The late-night soba was also very tasty. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be dinner service. Sometimes water or tea was provided at the start and sometimes it wasn’t; also, there were times when drinks weren’t refilled unless we asked. That point stood out slightly, but aside from that I was extremely satisfied overall and would definitely like to stay again.

This was our first stay. The train-view Room delighted our children. The open-air bath was also great. We had high expectations for the buffet, and it was excellent. The selection was well balanced—not too much or too little—so we could enjoy a bit of everything. While planning this one-night trip, we researched various Hotels, and choosing this Hotel close to the station was absolutely the right decision. After checkout, we went to Owakudani and Lake Ashi. Since we left at 9:00, the first cable car was nearly empty, and we had the ropeway all to ourselves as a family. They also stored our large luggage for us, so we could sightsee comfortably with light bags. For Hakone Free Pass users, I think this is one of the best Hotels. One small suggestion: after the kids fell asleep, it would have been nice to have a small table lamp to make the Room a bit brighter. It turned into a very enjoyable trip. We would love to stay again.

I stayed in the Moon Room on a solo trip. Due to various circumstances, I made a Reservation after 5:00 PM on the day of arrival, and with the same-day discount it was a great deal. Since my expected arrival time was set for 10:00 PM, the Accommodation contacted me, and their warm and kind response raised my expectations. I arrived just before the welcome drink service ended. Soaking in the iconic footbath, I enjoyed sparkling wine poured generously. The Room was more than spacious enough for one person, and although I initially thought the Onsen on the terrace might be small from the photos, it was also plenty for one. It’s a circulated bath from Kiga Onsen, but for someone like me who prefers hotter water, it was just right—and it warmed me up so much that I started sweating. The door from the Room to the terrace is accordion-style, so after daybreak I left it fully open all morning—it felt wonderful. The open-air bath at the large public bath uses free-flowing spring water from Owakudani. As someone who likes Kusatsu and Manza, I felt the sulfur scent was mild, but I still really enjoyed the milky-white water. However, it was unpleasant to have long hairs and fallen leaves cling to my body. In addition to the powder corner in the large public bath area, there is also a separate powder room with a ReFa hair dryer, a Panasonic hair iron, and a Panasonic facial steamer. Since I had been considering buying them anyway, it was great to be able to try them out. (For reference, the hair dryers in the large public bath were Dyson.) There were many negative Reviews online so I felt nervous until actually staying here, but it turned out to be a very satisfying stay. I’m also interested in one of their higher-category detached Rooms (annex), so I’d love to visit again.
