I had a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing stay. Every staff member had a lovely smile, and their service felt truly professional and well trained. There were many international staff as well, but everyone was excellent and spoke Japanese very well. The meals were all delicious and beautifully presented, with perfect tableware and plating. This is an inn that makes you want to return, and I would gladly recommend it to my friends. Since there are Fufu properties across Japan, it might be fun to visit different locations for comparison. Thank you very much for taking care of us, and thank you as well for the wonderful food.

We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

With the golf green right in front of the Room, you can relax at ease in a refreshing setting. The Onsen is also spacious and very soothing. Perfect for enjoying “doing nothing.”

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.

It was a calm, quiet hotel less than 10 minutes by shuttle bus from Gora Station. The meals were excellent. The free-flow drinks from 3:00 pm can also be enjoyed on the terrace. The view in the rain was lovely as well. The staff were very kind. The hot springs were great, but the step down into the indoor bath was deeper than expected, so I thought it would be helpful to have a notice posted somewhere. The milky-white hot spring water was wonderful, and the outdoor open-air bath was also very nice.

I had always thought that if I were to stay in Hakone, it would be at Suishoen, and my wish finally came true—I was able to visit at last! It was exactly the Accommodation I had imagined, and I could truly feel the high quality in every aspect, making for a very fulfilling stay. I was especially looking forward to the meals—not only were they delicious, but they were also a feast for the eyes. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. That said, the corn rice at dinner felt a bit overdone; I think simple corn would have been enough. The Room was more spacious than I expected and very relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath with a footbath feature. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding—this was an Accommodation where I felt truly comfortable.

This was my first trip to Hakone, and I stayed at this Hotel. The phone support and the front desk service were both very pleasant. For dinner, we chose the French cuisine; the portions were just right, and everything—from the dishes to the dessert—was delicious. For breakfast, we had a Japanese meal, and the dishes made with plenty of local ingredients made for a wonderful start to the day. On our way back, it was raining and I was traveling with my elderly mother, so I waited in the lobby until the last minute for our mountain bus—and ended up missing it. The staff noticed we were in trouble right away and suggested several alternative options, which allowed us to catch our flight home safely. Thanks to your outstanding hospitality in every respect, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The only disappointment this time was the weather, but I would love to come back and try again. I will also recommend this Hotel to my friends. Thank you very much.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

Since we reserved a detached Room, we were able to check in early and enjoy the open-air bath at the large public bath at our own pace. The Room was spacious and spotless, and above all, the charming open-air bath was outstanding. The meals were not only made with quality ingredients but also thoughtfully prepared with extra care, which we enjoyed to the very end. Every member of the guest room staff was pleasant, chatting with us in a friendly way while keeping a comfortable distance. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

From the moment we arrived, the staff’s courteous service made us look forward to a wonderful stay. The Room felt open and airy, with lush greenery visible through large windows, and the layout was thoughtfully designed for ease of use. The very spacious semi-open-air bath was at just the right temperature, so we ended up soaking for a long time; perhaps thanks to the spring quality as well, we felt warmed through to our core. The meals used a wide variety of ingredients, were clearly explained, and offered delicious dishes with plenty of variety. Given our age, there was more than enough in both quantity and quality without ordering anything extra, and we were very satisfied. Because it is not a large Accommodation, getting around was easy and stress-free without any chance of getting lost, which we also appreciated. Even at departure they took great care in seeing us off—an Accommodation that left us with a pleasant afterglow. The total cost can vary widely depending on food and drinks (wine), but this time we felt it was an excellent value for money. We have one more favorite Accommodation in Hakone now.

We visited with our 3-month-old baby. As it was our first trip with a child, we were anxious at first, but thanks to the warm hospitality and flexible support, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We had made a Reservation for a dinner course at the restaurant, and I was worried that if our baby cried it might disturb other guests. The staff continued to reassure me with thoughtful words, and I was especially impressed by how quickly they arranged to change the latter part of the meal to room service. I’m truly grateful to the kind female staff member who took care of us at dinner! Because of this heartfelt service, we decided to make our next Reservation with a Hyatt property as well. Thank you very much!

I was looking for an affordable place in Hakone with private hot springs, and this was exactly what I had hoped for. The entire property was spotless, and there are three private hot springs—an open-air bath and indoor baths—that you can use as many times as you like whenever they’re available. Breakfast—toasted bread, a boiled egg, and coffee—was all carefully prepared and delicious, and the hostess was very thoughtful. This inn in Ohiradai Onsen is one I’d love to visit again when I’m in Hakone.

We stay here every year in early summer. It’s quiet, and we can relax at our own pace while enjoying the in-room bath whenever we like. The property is close to the museum, and after checking out we always stop by the museum and then head home by walking down through Gora Park. As seniors, we’ve been eating less over time, but the portion sizes here are always just right, and above all, each dish is carefully prepared and truly delicious. The staff are always smiling, with very polite service and language, so we can enjoy our stay comfortably and with peace of mind. It’s probably busy during the autumn foliage season and around New Year’s holidays, but we’re thinking of trying it next time.

The tatami mats, wallpaper, and bathroom facilities were all new and spotless, and the room was very clean. The hot springs were wonderful—warming and good for the skin, with both hotter and milder baths. Dinner was just the right amount for me; at other places I’m often served more than I can finish and feel bad leaving food. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. The staff were kind and pleasant. I wondered what it would be like because it was inexpensive, but I was very satisfied. If I could suggest improvements, I’d like two room keys, and a slightly better hair dryer.

This was my first stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, of course. I wasn’t expecting much from breakfast, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. As soon as I got home, I booked again right away. Thank you very much. A squirrel even came to visit outside the window.

We stayed here to coincide with my husband’s refresh leave for his 5-year work anniversary. Because it’s in a quiet location and has only a small number of rooms, it was the perfect place for us as a dual-income couple to escape our busy daily routine and enjoy truly luxurious time together. The in-room bath was very spacious, and we could relax comfortably as a couple. Above all, the hot spring water felt wonderful and left our skin silky smooth. Since it’s a semi-open-air bath, we found it especially comfortable. At many other inns, private open-air baths or in-room open-air baths often have the washing area outside as well, but here you can simply open the window to make it semi-open-air—so we didn’t end up shivering while washing. During our one-night stay, we used the bath five times; even at checkout, we wished we could soak one more time and were sad to leave. The washbasin area was also spacious, so we could both get ready slowly in the morning. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious: sashimi with carefully crafted sauces, many bite-sized seasonal dishes served in a basket arrangement, and seasonal chestnut rice cooked on the spot. Breakfast was also very filling—the grilled fish and tofu were especially good. Yukata were provided as loungewear, but since I tend to get a cold stomach easily, I thought it would be nice if there were pants-style options like samue. Also, since this trip fell during our wedding anniversary month, I felt an anniversary plan would be appreciated. It wouldn’t need to be elaborate—something simple like an celebratory message on a dessert plate or taking a photo and gifting it in a small frame would make for a lovely keepsake. All of the staff were courteous and warm-hearted in their hospitality, which made this trip extremely satisfying.

We are always very satisfied with the pleasant hospitality, delicious meals, and relaxing Onsen. This time, we chose the teppanyaki dinner course for the first time, and it was delicious and very satisfying. It made us want to visit again right away, so as soon as we returned home, we promptly made our next Reservation. We look forward to staying with you again.

We reserved the Luxury D-type Room as a couple. We love traveling and visit great Accommodations all over Japan, and from the moment we arrived by car until we were seen off, we had a truly wonderful stay. First of all, the Accommodation was spotless. The staff’s greetings were excellent. Mainly during meals, international staff assisted us and did their best to explain each dish using challenging Japanese. The Room was also very clean—we were thrilled! Unfortunately it was cloudy, but even so, the view from the open-air bath was amazing. Including the large public bath and private baths, I can’t even count how many times we soaked in the baths... The dinner and breakfast were both delicious—we were completely full. Thank you for such a comfortable time. We would love to visit again.

The price was just right, and I wanted to enjoy the sulfur hot spring, so I decided to stay here. Unfortunately, it was rainy and the fog made everything pure white that day, but it actually felt magical, and the courtyard lighting was beautiful. The facilities and rooms have many glass surfaces, giving them a modern and clean feel. We had a corner room, and it was spacious enough for our family of four to relax comfortably. The open-air sulfur bath had soft water with a gentle scent. It was a little on the cooler side, but we could soak slowly while listening to insects at night—highly recommended. As expected from a Prince Hotel, the staff were polite and professional, which left a great impression. The meals weren’t overly extravagant, but they were well prepared and tasted great. With many accommodations in Hakone being expensive, I’d like to visit again as this is an excellent value-for-money option. Highly recommended.
