We stayed here during the Obon holiday. Check-in was from 15:00, but we arrived around 13:00. When we asked to check in early, they kindly agreed without hesitation. After checking in, we told the Ryokan staff that we were heading out to sightsee around Yumoto Station, and they offered to take us from the Ryokan to Yumoto Station with a free Shuttle Service—much appreciated! The Room size, Facility features, and amenities were all excellent. We used the bath in our Room twice (morning and night), and also enjoyed both the large public bath and a private bath—four baths in total. The meals were outstanding in both quantity and quality. From the front desk staff to everyone we passed in the hallways, their warm smiles made our stay truly comfortable. A calm, adults-only atmosphere—classic Ryokan style with a luxurious touch. We will definitely stay again when we visit Hakone.

I’ve been wanting to visit in every season since my last stay, but our schedules never lined up, so we ended up returning in July again. The cedar-lined path from the Accommodation to Hakone Shrine felt cool and refreshing even under the strong sun, and we were lucky enough to hear the evening cicadas singing—reminding me once again how wonderful Hakone is. Even during dinner we could occasionally hear them; together with the thoughtfully prepared dishes with elegant seasoning and the recommended sake, it made for a truly luxurious time. The next day, after enjoying a healthy breakfast carefully prepared, we were kindly driven to Motohakone Port. From the deck of the pirate ship, we cruised while looking at Mt. Fuji and fully enjoying the cool breeze. We’ll be back again.

It had been since last autumn, but this is an Accommodation that soothes me no matter when I visit. Of course, the Room and the Onsen are wonderful, as are the meals—modern French with witty, thought-provoking menus each time, and a Japanese breakfast made with carefully selected ingredients—but even more than that, I’m always delighted by the staff’s quiet attentiveness everywhere, including turndown service during both dinner and breakfast. I go outside the rear entrance to smoke each time, and there was a small bench that hadn’t been there before. Near the exit were several mats you can use on the bench. I was moved by these little touches and found myself even more captivated by Kokon. I’m already looking forward to deciding when to visit next.

We arrived by car, and even in the heat we were greeted before we even reached the entrance. Sometimes you’re welcomed after arriving at the entrance, or staff are stationed at the entrance to greet you—but this time they were already waiting out front. Isn’t that almost too wonderful? The welcome drink was delicious as well. This time we chose a lower grade and stayed in the Residence building. Getting from the Main building to the Residence requires walking a short distance outside, so it might be a concern on rainy days. There are also a few stairs, but staff will carry your luggage, so it shouldn’t be an issue. There is a private Onsen along the way, so for those who plan to use it, staying in the Residence may actually be more convenient. The Room was spacious enough. Our pre-requested baby cot, diaper bin, baby bath, etc., were already set up in the Room, so families with babies can stay with peace of mind. The indoor bath is an Onsen with free-flowing natural spring water in the Room. The temperature was perfect—absolutely wonderful. The BVLGARI amenities were also great. Breakfast was delicious, and the portions were just right—more than enough. As for the cuisine overall, I think the chef’s skill is outstanding. At dinner service most guests dress neatly, so for men it’s better to wear something with a collar to match the atmosphere. On our first stay last time we didn’t know what to expect and dressed too casually—lesson learned. Shorts and a T-shirt would probably still be fine; this is simply about maintaining the overall ambiance. The outer-side seating likely has better views, but if you have children I recommend sitting on the lobby side—you don’t have to worry as much about others there, which really helps. If your baby starts crying hard nonstop (as babies do), you can simply step out. I’m very interested in dinner as well, but with a baby we couldn’t use it considering the atmosphere—hopefully someday. The evening ambiance is wonderful. Service is excellent as expected—from checkout through seeing us off was superb—and I honestly wonder if there is any Accommodation that surpasses this one. Given today’s times I imagine staff training must be challenging everywhere, but this Accommodation’s hospitality stands out as truly exceptional. Thank you to all staff members and chefs alike. Although the weather in Hakone was unsettled, we enjoyed a wonderful stay as always. From our Room with a great view, the drifting clouds and mist felt truly magical. The meals were carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Breakfast was also excellent, and we were able to spend an elegant morning while enjoying a mimosa. With outstanding service in a relaxing and refined setting, it was a truly memorable stay. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

This was our second stay as a couple. Just like last time, all the staff were friendly and attentive, and it reminded us what a wonderful Hotel this is. The Room and bath were of course lovely, but what truly stands out at this Hotel is the food. Since the menu lists only the ingredients, we try to imagine what will come—and it’s always even more creative than we expect, which makes it so much fun. Every time, we’re amazed by the presentation, combinations, and flavors, and my husband and I enjoyed dinner saying, “They’re geniuses.” And the paired wines are incredible! They’re so delicious that we’re surprised every time. We were happy to spend such a wonderful time here. We will definitely be back!

I found this place because I wanted to stay at an Onsen with my dogs. It turned out to be an absolutely wonderful trip. We were very satisfied. The Facility was impeccably well equipped, and the private pool and sauna made it even better. Hakone-Yumoto Station is within walking distance, so we could take a stroll to shop for souvenirs. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s first birthday. It was our first family trip with the puppy we had just welcomed home, and we had many worries, but thanks to the kindness of the staff and the well-stocked amenities, we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. And above all, the meals were delicious!! We had both breakfast and dinner, and both left us completely satisfied—full in body and heart. The Onsen in the large public bath was wonderful as well. The open-air bath in our Room is not an Onsen, but it was spacious and relaxing. Our family has already been saying how we want to come back again soon.

As expected of Tokyu Harvest Club’s top-tier Hotel. The Room was spacious with high ceilings, fully stocked amenities, and the staff were gentle and attentive. I wasn’t expecting the in-room refrigerator to be free, but I really enjoyed the carefully selected lineup. Above all, I was impressed by the dining. Rather than relying solely on great ingredients, everything was thoughtfully prepared and presented so it could be enjoyed even more beautifully and deliciously. They also accommodated food allergies and preferences as much as possible. I saw other comments saying breakfast was disappointing, but for us both the quantity and quality were more than sufficient. We love vegetables, so we would have been happy with even more—but that’s just personal preference. Considering the price, it’s not a Facility we can visit often, but if we have the chance, we would definitely like to return. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

We had seen a Review saying the pool temperature was low, and since it was a chilly day we were worried, but it was comfortably warm. The first-floor flooring is also not slippery, so I think it’s dog-friendly. If possible, it would have been even better if the second-floor flooring were made of similarly non-slip materials. The quality of the free-flowing Onsen water was great as well, and it was a wonderful Accommodation that makes not only dogs but also people want to come back.

First of all, the cleanliness of the Hotel’s Rooms and other Facilities was very, very good. I stayed for three nights and treated myself by taking an Obon holiday at this Hotel. It was an Obon holiday filled with gratitude for the food and all the staff. The Onsen was also wonderful, and I felt genuine care in every detail, including the free ice pops after bathing. Thank you for such a wonderful trip with my dog. I will come again, and I look forward to staying with you then as well.

This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

This was our first stay here. Although we originally planned to come by car and had to switch to the train at short notice, you still picked us up at the scheduled time. The Room was just the right size for two people, and we also appreciated how clean it was. There were plenty of amenities and many complimentary drinks, so we were able to relax and take our time. Each dish was carefully prepared, and combined with dining in a private room, it felt truly luxurious. Everything tasted excellent. We enjoyed the chocolates served at the end of dinner during our morning coffee time. The late-night snack was also refined and delicious. The bath required adjusting the temperature, but that actually allowed us to set it exactly how we liked it, which was great. As it is a sulfur hot spring, there was a faint scent that lingered after bathing, but it wasn’t too strong—just enough to feel its benefits. Breakfast was also delicious: kamameshi cooked with dashi with slightly indulgent side dishes, all thoughtfully prepared. Overall, we were truly satisfied with our stay.

We stayed here for our silver wedding anniversary trip. Every dish was delicious!! The in-room open-air bath was wonderful, and we were able to relax in the Japanese-Western style Room—very satisfied! They even prepared a celebratory plate at dinner, and it truly made for a happy one-night stay! Thank you very much. We were also happy that the drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary! We’d love to stay here again when we visit Hakone!

We stayed here as a family. Our daughter, who loves picture books, was thrilled to be surrounded by so many books and enjoyed them wholeheartedly throughout our stay. The adults were also able to relax and spend unhurried time—it was truly comfortable. Every dish was delicious, and we were even able to watch fireworks at night, making it a wonderful summer memory for our daughter as well. Thank you very much for such a lovely time.

We had another wonderful stay. No matter which Fufu Accommodation we visit, we are always delighted by the consistently heartfelt hospitality and the truly careful, delicious cuisine. At Fufu Hakone this time as well, we were soothed by the warm welcome from all the staff and were able to enjoy a relaxing, luxurious time. An Accommodation that makes you want to come back—Fufu is still number one for me. This time, we also made use of a wonderful IKYU benefit, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I am truly grateful for this special opportunity. We will do our best in everyday life and look forward to coming back to Fufu again. Thank you very much.

We visited this Accommodation for the first time in March after it received the strongest “Absolutely!” recommendation among several options, and it was the first time in a while that we felt completely satisfied in every respect. From the courteous and accurate communication during the Reservation process, to the atmosphere, use of space, staff professionalism, and cuisine—everything met our expectations. With an Accommodation of this caliber, I wasn’t particularly worried about the food, and I had already seen photos of the interior on the website so I assumed there would be no surprises. In the end, however, what matters most is “people.” With group stays, requests often cause inconvenience and there are usually one or two small oversights on the day—but here everything was perfect. This time we came as individuals. We returned both to confirm our impressions and to be moved all over again. The entrance—still fresh in my memory as a favorite—is spacious and quiet. It harmoniously blends cutting-edge design with traditional charm despite being complete opposites. Personally, it may be my favorite part. Our Room this time was more compact than last time but more than sufficient for one night. The open-air bath is also spacious and easy to use even though it has privacy screening. The private dining room felt almost too large for just two people. The timing of each course and the staff’s warm smiles made for a truly comfortable—and delicious—meal. Overall, what stayed with me is how rare this Facility is: an excellent balance of new and old, genuine warmth from people, and employees who approach their work with sincerity—all coming together in perfect harmony. Newer Accommodations with a full resort feel are wonderful in their own way as well; however, as an Onsen Accommodation, this is a place I can confidently recommend as a distinctly Japanese stay where timeless tradition is beautifully integrated. We stayed with our baby, and it was such a wonderful Accommodation that we’d love to visit again even as adults only. The chic, calming interior was beautiful, and you could feel the attention to detail in every piece of furniture, appliance, and decor. The Room had adorable children’s chairs and slippers, a yoga mat, DVD rentals, a star chart, and more. The space itself was so comfortable that simply spending time at the Accommodation felt truly restorative. At the front desk there was a complimentary drink service including alcohol such as beer and sake, as well as delicious decaf coffee that pregnant guests and breastfeeding moms can enjoy. On top of that, all drinks and snacks in the in-Room refrigerator were also free—such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. The private open-air bath attached to the Room was a solid rock-built bath with an impressive presence; soaking slowly while surrounded by nature was incredibly relaxing. Most memorable of all was the view from the Room: refreshing mountains stretching out before us, with Sagami Bay visible beyond. Just staying in the Room while gazing out the window felt luxurious—we lost track of time and truly unwound. Each dish showed great care and craftsmanship; everything was delicious and we were completely satisfied. Although we stayed with a child, thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff we were able to spend our time very comfortably.

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.
