We usually travel as a couple a few times a year, mainly to Hakone, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as wonderful as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in time, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From the lovely commemorative photos for our celebration to the heartfelt message card with a photo, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are genuinely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was outstanding, and we were able to spend a truly relaxing time. Our assigned staff member was incredibly kind and always smiling; we enjoyed chatting with them, and our whole family was impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details. The guidance around the property—like a paradise far removed from everyday life—was also thorough and considerate, and everyone we met greeted us with warm smiles that put us at ease. The Room was very spacious and kept beautifully clean. The bed was also ideal for us—comfortable without sinking in or feeling overly soft. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations; I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, there was a private open-air Onsen bath exclusively for our Room with free-flowing water from 100% natural source spring water—no added water or heating—from the rare Dogashima Onsen source said to be “legendary,” so we could enjoy an Onsen soak anytime we liked. In addition, there is an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, which allowed our family to enjoy many different experiences together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care and full of creative ideas from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. In my experience so far, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

This was my third stay. Although it is your 6th anniversary, the entire facility felt very clean, and the changing room in particular was spotless. It was sparkling clean and very pleasant. The meals were also delicious. Last time I borrowed a magnifying mirror and a hair iron, and this time they had already been prepared for me—I was truly impressed by such attentive service. Next time, I would love to stay again and bring my daughter’s family as well.

We stayed here to celebrate my father’s 88th birthday. Only my parents stayed overnight; after I escorted them to their Room, I left. The proprietress remembered that it was for his 88th birthday and arranged a surprise celebration with the staff. Both my father and mother were truly delighted, and I’m told it became a wonderful memory—thank you very much. This is a lovely Ryokan with exceptional hospitality.

Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. The pleasant service from the staff, the open-air bath in the large public bath, and the Onsen in our Room were all very satisfying. If we have another chance, my husband and I would love to try the French cuisine next time. However, we were disappointed that the toilet in our Room did not flush well. Thank you very much.

Choosing this Hotel for my first solo trip to Hakone was the right decision. There are relaxing spaces throughout the spacious grounds, and the all-inclusive plan is also very appealing. Getting around inside the Hotel involves stairs and covers a wide area—perfect for getting some exercise! I’ve made another Reservation, so I look forward to staying again.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay. This was our first drive in our new car and also our first stay at Gora Kadan, but we were met with heavy rain. Even so, thanks to the warm welcome from all the staff, your help with loading and unloading our luggage, and your thoughtful care for my mother-in-law, all of our worries disappeared and we were able to enjoy a comfortable stay. We sincerely appreciate your attentive hospitality. We would love to stay again.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The allergy accommodations were excellent, and although I may have caused you some extra trouble, I truly felt how attentive your service was. We’d love to stay again.

This was our second stay, and the three of us—my daughter, my grandchild, and I—visited together. We were assigned a Room at the property’s discretion, and it was spacious and wonderful; we were truly impressed. Due to various circumstances we could only stay one night, but we enjoyed it to the fullest. The meals were delicious, the staff were very kind, and we were able to relax—everything was truly great! My grandchild kept saying how much fun it was. We’d love to come back again.

I was able to relax a lot again this time. It was a shame it rained, but I still managed to enjoy the open-air bath. Thank you very much for upgrading our room! Starting this visit, late check-out (1-hour extension: 3,300 yen) became available, and we used it right away. I’d like to use it again when we visit in December next time!

The bath in the Room was great, and the private open-air bath was also wonderful. The meals were served as a course, so we were able to enjoy them while having a nice conversation. Although it can’t be helped that the elevator and other Facilities felt a bit old, everything was well cleaned overall, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was a very satisfying trip for us as a couple. Thank you very much.

There were many types of open-air baths and the views were wonderful, and I was also able to use the baths at Hotel Okada, which made my stay very satisfying. The amenities were well stocked, and it truly felt like everything was taken care of. There were also plenty of entertainment areas such as a manga corner and a game corner, and I felt that no matter how much time I had, it wouldn’t be enough. The meals were also very elaborate, with both presentation and taste being excellent. Shishito peppers were used in the seasonal green vegetable tempura, and they were quite spicy so I struggled to finish them on their own, but everything else was delicious. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room on the 3rd floor. The view from the window felt open and expansive, with mountain ranges and the townscape below.

My mother, my sister, and I stayed here together. The Room with an open-air bath was very clean, and the bath was equipped with a step stool and a chair, so my elderly mother could use it safely. The meals were delicious, and my mother was so satisfied that she finished everything. We would definitely like to stay again.

It was my first time staying at an unmanned vacation rental, so I was a little worried about possible issues. But once I arrived, it was surprisingly convenient and comfortable. The layout was great and very clean, the balcony was spacious, and the view from the windows was beautiful. All the necessary dishes and appliances were provided, which made things easy. Best of all was the in-room hot spring bath. The tub was large with a pleasant wood scent, and there were big windows that gave just the right sense of openness—I loved it. I only wished checkout weren’t at 10:00; if late checkout had been available, I definitely would have used it. The complimentary drinks and snacks were also a nice touch. It took some time to reach the staff member at check-in, so I rated the service 4/5 (sorry if it was just bad timing).

We chose the Surprise Plan for a celebration, and the communication was very courteous. The Room and open-air bath were spacious, relaxing, and very clean. We were also happy to have plenty of free drinks. We chose the wagyu course, and everything was delicious. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them as well. Being able to adjust the open-air bath ourselves meant we could always soak at just the right temperature, which was a great feature. Breakfast was also excellent. We felt refreshed in both body and mind, the surprise was a success, and we’re truly glad we chose this place. We’d love to stay in one of the other Rooms too!

This was my first stay at Itoen Hotel Hakone Yumoto. The meals were delicious, I was able to relax in the hot springs, and I slept very well. I would like to stay here again.

If possible, I’d rather not let too many people know about this incredibly great-value Accommodation. The food is delicious, and the staff are wonderful. This was my first stay in summer, and the pool was neither overcrowded nor too quiet—everything felt perfectly comfortable, so I could truly relax and enjoy it.

Herbal medicinal teas before and after meals are also a nice touch. At dinner, you can drink as much as you like of your preferred beverages, including alcohol, and every dish was truly delicious. Although we stayed on a weekday, they kindly served us the weekend-only sashimi as well, which we enjoyed with fresh wasabi! The baths were crowded, so we couldn’t relax as much as we’d hoped, but overall we were satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the futon in the Japanese-style room was quite thin.

Although I’d known the name, this was my first stay. During a break in the rainy weather, I walked from Tonosawa Station, and it felt like a little hidden retreat. In hindsight, it was probably the right choice compared with taking the bus from Yumoto along the crowded road. From the moment I arrived, I received a very warm welcome, and the view from my room was wonderful—I could have spent all day doing nothing but looking out. There were fresh Japanese sweets on the desk as a complimentary treat; since many places offer only packaged snacks, this made me especially happy. There are quite a few stairs, but the property is a comfortable size, so I quickly got used to moving around and thoroughly enjoyed the baths. The atmospheric bath with stained glass, the open-air bath reached by walking outside for a short distance, and the bright private bath on the top floor—all had wonderfully smooth water. Most guests were international. (Not at all the inn’s fault, but I was surprised to see someone enter wearing swimwear and carrying a smartphone.) Meals were served in an impressive hall with a magnificent coffered ceiling full of character. The painted sliding doors were also beautiful—it was truly a rare experience. All of the staff seemed highly experienced; whenever I asked something they answered carefully, and I was moved by how proudly they worked. This is an outstanding inn filled with hospitality—somewhere I would love to return to regularly. My room had great views over the Hayakawa River; during prolonged rain it became quite loud, so if you’re sensitive to noise you may want earplugs. The building is full of highlights yet somehow warm and cozy as well—and maintaining it must be no easy task. It’s such a wonderful place that I sincerely hope will remain for many years to come.

My wife and I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath fed directly from the hot spring source. The bath size and water volume were just right for two, so we enjoyed it before dinner, after dinner, and again before breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with plenty of space. For dinner we chose the Gourmet Kaiseki Plan, so the portions were a bit too much for us (we’re not that young anymore) and we couldn’t finish everything, but we were very satisfied with the quality—especially the shabu-shabu, which was delicious. The proprietress showed us to our Room and also served our meals; she was refined and courteous, which I personally liked very much. Perhaps because there was heavy rain that day, there were already two other parties arriving at check-in time, so it may have been unavoidable due to staffing levels, but the only disappointment was having to wait in another room for over 10 minutes before completing check-in procedures.

We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Although we arrived a little late, we were welcomed warmly, and they even gifted us Hakone rusks as a keepsake. Their thoughtful hospitality made us feel right away that this was a wonderful place. The room was spacious, and the open-air bath on the balcony was exceptional!! Soaking in the silky-smooth water while feeling the cool night air outside was pure bliss. My boyfriend loved it so much that he woke up early to enjoy it again the next morning. The shared hot spring bath downstairs also had a lovely atmosphere, and we were able to relax and enjoy a long soak. The complimentary ice pops after bathing were also a nice touch. And the meal we had been looking forward to was even better than expected! The spiny lobster in particular was outstanding—plump, sweet, and delicious. The soup had a gentle flavor as well, and you could really feel the care put into each dish. The fire show–like performance was amazing too (lol). They also kindly accommodated our last-minute request for a surprise dessert plate on the day, which allowed us to celebrate in such a special way. We are truly grateful to all of the staff who helped us and everyone in the kitchen. I had been following them on Instagram for some time and always hoped to visit one day. I’m so glad we were able to come for our anniversary this time. We were completely satisfied with everything—the hot springs, cuisine, and hospitality. I highly recommend this property for anniversaries with someone special or anyone looking to spend an unforgettable time.
