I chose this ryokan in Chita because I wanted to enjoy fugu, and their fugu dishes were introduced on the site. My room was upgraded, and during this season, I could see both the sunrise and sunset from the room, making it a truly wonderful experience (I uploaded photos of the sunrise and sunset). Yesterday, there were reportedly over 100 guests staying here, but today it was just us. We had the luxury of enjoying the onsen all to ourselves. I imagine yesterday must have been extremely busy for the staff like a "battle," so we felt grateful yet slightly apologetic for being able to enjoy such a calm atmosphere today. The hostess was very friendly and chatted with us during mealtime, allowing us to relax and have an enjoyable time. The onsen features a unique "stone bath" design where water flows beneath stones, creating a serene bathing experience. The indoor bath is slightly hotter while the open-air bath has just the right temperature—perfect for those who prefer either hot or milder baths. Personally, I loved the temperature of the open-air bath; it was perfect for me! The natural fugu we came here for was absolutely delicious as well. Overall, this accommodation offers a relaxing stay with plenty of time to unwind at your own pace!

From the moment we arrived, the subtle scent of incense in the air and the front desk staff’s beaming smiles left a lasting impression. The Room was spacious and spotless, and soaking in the in-room bath with orchid flowers floating on the water while listening to the sound of the waves was pure bliss. The meal began with exquisite sashimi, and we enjoyed being able to savor a variety of dishes little by little. Since we had mentioned that this trip was to celebrate my husband’s retirement, you kindly provided everything—dishes, dessert, and even a commemorative photo on a photo plate—as complimentary services, which truly moved us as a couple. The post-dinner event was also fun, making it a relaxing yet exciting and memorable one-night, two-day stay. Thank you so much to all of your staff.

The staff were very friendly, and the Onsen was great with pleasantly salty water. The meals were exactly as shown in the photos—fresh and delicious—and the portions were generous. I would like you to prevent cigarette smoke from the smoking area from drifting over.

This was our third stay. For dinner, we chose the Local Bounty Kaiseki Plan with a large fried shrimp. Now we only have the Chita Peninsula and Ise Bay Bounty Plan left to try, and we would definitely like to choose it next time. We were able to relax again this time. Thank you very much.

The Room’s open-air bath was wonderful. The meals were more than enough for women; men might find them a bit light, but for those who drink alcohol, I felt they were sufficient. I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to relax in a bath with an ocean view, and it offers ocean-view rooms with private open-air baths. I later realized it was featured in the Michelin Guide (Tokai edition). There are many baths throughout the Accommodation—on the rooftop, on the 5th floor, two on the 3rd floor, and one on the 2nd floor—but unfortunately the 2nd-floor bath was closed on the day of my stay. The in-room open-air bath had plenty of hot water and a great view, and I enjoyed it very much. The 5th-floor bath is a reservable private bath in 25-minute slots, so it felt a bit rushed. On the 3rd floor, if it’s available you can lock it and use it privately; I used only one of them, and its semi-open-air style was best suited for washing up. I used the rooftop open-air bath after dinner—the gradient of colors in the sky was stunning, and I could even see an evening star, making for a truly beautiful experience; however... because there is nothing to block the wind on the rooftop, I felt very cold even during the short walk to the tub. You may want to choose your season if you want to fully enjoy it. The staff were cheerful and kind. I booked a Plan with breakfast and dinner; both meals were delicious and felt like just the right amount. Perhaps because everything paired well with alcohol, I got thirsty at night and drank water several times (I appreciated that cold water was provided in a pot in my room). The bedding was high quality and I slept well. Overall satisfaction was high—an Accommodation that made me want to return. One disappointing point—also mentioned by others—was that there were many marks on the tatami mats that looked like they came from dragging tables or other furniture around. Also as others have noted, there were some areas where cleaning seemed insufficient: higher spots and exterior sides of window frames looked like they hadn’t been wiped for quite some time. What bothered me most this time was that weeding around the open-air bath area hadn’t been done at all. It seems like it could be finished within an hour—or handled with weed killer—but since there don’t seem to be many young people locally and older staff appear to be running things mainly themselves, this may be easier said than done. Photos from when Game 16 of Ryuo Title Match (Season 16) was held here are displayed inside; you can see younger versions of Morishita Koji? Wait: Actually "森内、羽生" are Yoshiharu Morinouchi? It's "Morinouchi" vs "Habu". Alongside them is also a young Sugimoto Masayuki (8-dan), famous as mentor to Fujii Sota (six titles). Shogi fans—and especially Fujii fans—should definitely take a look.

The staff's service was somewhat curt, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious! It would be even better if the dinner dishes were explained more thoroughly and the front desk had a brighter atmosphere.

I had so many questions that I ended up calling several times, but each time they kindly and carefully answered me, which left a great impression even before we arrived. There was a shower in front of the entrance to rinse off sand, plus space to dry float rings and sandals. On the rooftop there was also a washing machine and an area where you can hang laundry right away, so even if you go swimming two days in a row, there’s nothing to worry about. They even laid mats all the way to the bathroom so it was fine to come in wearing swimsuits after the beach—this Accommodation was truly a lifesaver for families with children! It looked like it might be a bit far from the beach on Google Maps, but it really wasn’t at all. The price was reasonable, and everything was set up to be so comfortable that we’d love to make this our annual summer vacation tradition!

They kindly accommodated our last-minute request for a pickup. We enjoyed dinner in a calm private room. The seafood dishes were exceptionally fresh, served with restaurant-quality tableware and presentation. The entire property was spotless, and it was clear that the hostess and staff clean thoroughly without cutting corners. This well-reviewed Accommodation was warm, clean, and great value for money, so I highly recommend it. The cake was delicious as well. It made us want to visit again. Thank you very much.

The layout and furnishings were impeccably stylish—everything was perfect. It ranks among the best villas I’ve ever stayed in. They also responded to my questions very quickly, and I’d definitely love to stay again. However, perhaps because it’s close to the mountains or due to the season, it was a shame that the deck and terrace were full of insects at night. As soon as we stepped inside, we were amazed by the gorgeous interior and how much closer the ocean was than we had imagined. The ocean view was truly breathtaking—an experience you don’t often get. The welcome drinks at check-in came in many varieties, which made it feel special and was perfect hospitality on a hot day. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared at the time we requested, so we could relax. For dinner, the BBQ included local meats, seafood, vegetables, and more, with explanations provided for each item. It was our first time using this type of grill, but the staff kindly showed us how to use it, so even beginners could grill everything deliciously with confidence. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and we were very satisfied with dinner. We usually have to prepare everything ourselves for a BBQ (including cleanup), so it was great that the Hotel took care of everything. After dinner, we enjoyed coffee while watching the sunset. Three types of coffee beans and an electric grinder were provided, along with instructions on how to use the grinder and recommended grind sizes—so we could enjoy freshly brewed coffee and spend a truly special time. There was a jacuzzi on the terrace bath area, and our kids were thrilled since it was their first time. The amenities for children included cute dolphin toothbrushes and sponges, which they loved. For adults, there were ReFa shower heads as well as a hair dryer, hair iron/curling iron tools? , hair oil? etc., leaving our hair smoother than usual—we were delighted. The croissants and roast beef at breakfast were also delicious. We would definitely like to stay again.

The Room feels modern and pleasant. Dinner was delicious, with a great variety of shrimp dishes. However, it was disappointing that the bidet did not work. It seems my friend’s Room also could not use the bidet, so it may need inspection.
