The hot spring water is simply outstanding. Meeting the friendly and kind proprietress is also one of the highlights. I’ll be back again later this year. Thank you for everything!

We stayed in the annex. I had been a bit worried after reading reviews mentioning insects and wondered if it might be an older building, but it was absolutely wonderful. The building may be old, but it is kept very well maintained. As soon as we entered the room, it smelled pleasant from the entrance, and everything was very clean—there was no sign of insects at all, so we felt comfortable staying there. We were able to relax completely. The hot spring and the meals were both excellent.

We stayed here to celebrate our dog’s first birthday. It was our first family trip with the puppy we had just welcomed home, and we had many worries, but thanks to the kindness of the staff and the well-stocked amenities, we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. And above all, the meals were delicious!! We had both breakfast and dinner, and both left us completely satisfied—full in body and heart. The Onsen in the large public bath was wonderful as well. The open-air bath in our Room is not an Onsen, but it was spacious and relaxing. Our family has already been saying how we want to come back again soon.

We had a relaxing stay as a couple. The service was excellent, and the property was kept very clean. The meals were especially outstanding, and we could really feel the care and passion of the kitchen staff. Everything was beautifully and thoughtfully presented, and the flavors were superb. From the warm welcome on arrival to the heartfelt send-off at departure, it felt like a dream. The service was exceptionally attentive, and the food was truly delicious—we were completely satisfied. The hot spring was wonderful; we enjoyed a relaxing soak at night under the stars and in the morning while basking in the sunrise. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

I had always thought that if I were to stay in Hakone, it would be at Suishoen, and my wish finally came true—I was able to visit at last! It was exactly the Accommodation I had imagined, and I could truly feel the high quality in every aspect, making for a very fulfilling stay. I was especially looking forward to the meals—not only were they delicious, but they were also a feast for the eyes. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. That said, the corn rice at dinner felt a bit overdone; I think simple corn would have been enough. The Room was more spacious than I expected and very relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath with a footbath feature. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding—this was an Accommodation where I felt truly comfortable.

As a returning guest, I’m impressed every time by the wonderful meals and the staff’s hospitality. I truly enjoyed the rich, flavorful cuisine, and I deeply appreciate the staff’s thoughtful care. This is an Accommodation I want to visit again and again. Thank you.

We reserved the Luxury D-type Room as a couple. We love traveling and visit great Accommodations all over Japan, and from the moment we arrived by car until we were seen off, we had a truly wonderful stay. First of all, the Accommodation was spotless. The staff’s greetings were excellent. Mainly during meals, international staff assisted us and did their best to explain each dish using challenging Japanese. The Room was also very clean—we were thrilled! Unfortunately it was cloudy, but even so, the view from the open-air bath was amazing. Including the large public bath and private baths, I can’t even count how many times we soaked in the baths... The dinner and breakfast were both delicious—we were completely full. Thank you for such a comfortable time. We would love to visit again.

Every time I stay here, I feel the same thing. It’s simply comfortable. The staff’s hospitality, the food, and how relaxing the room is. Even after turning 60, life is still busy. I want to rest. I’ll be back again.

Due to a change in our Hakone travel plans, we urgently looked for an inn near the Sengokuhara Grassland Walking Trail, so we arrived without high expectations. From the moment we arrived, I felt uneasy because the parking lot was some distance away, but the staff’s hospitality was excellent throughout—better than expected from the start. We had heard the room was small, but it actually felt more spacious than expected. The food at both dinner and breakfast tasted good, though younger guests might find the portions a bit light. Dinner was udon, so if that feels insufficient, I recommend adding a bowl of rice for 300 yen. The beef steak was cooked perfectly. There are two indoor baths and one open-air bath; however, the tubs are small and the area is surrounded by fencing, so it feels fairly standard. That said, perhaps due to the hot spring’s benefits, my skin felt smooth after bathing. Overall, with its great location just a 5-minute walk to the Sengokuhara Grassland Walking Trail and reasonable rates, it turned out to be a much better stay than expected—choosing Hakone Fuga was absolutely the right decision for this trip.

If we have another chance, my husband and I would love to try the French cuisine next time. However, we were disappointed that the toilet in our Room did not flush well. Thank you very much.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The allergy accommodations were excellent, and although I may have caused you some extra trouble, I truly felt how attentive your service was. We’d love to stay again.

It was disappointing that the bidet toilet seat wasn’t working. However, I accidentally left something behind in the room, and they kindly shipped it so it arrived the next day, which was a huge help. The food was delicious, and I was able to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Herbal medicinal teas before and after meals are also a nice touch. At dinner, you can drink as much as you like of your preferred beverages, including alcohol, and every dish was truly delicious. Although we stayed on a weekday, they kindly served us the weekend-only sashimi as well, which we enjoyed with fresh wasabi! The baths were crowded, so we couldn’t relax as much as we’d hoped, but overall we were satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the futon in the Japanese-style room was quite thin.

My wife and I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath fed directly from the hot spring source. The bath size and water volume were just right for two, so we enjoyed it before dinner, after dinner, and again before breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with plenty of space. For dinner we chose the Gourmet Kaiseki Plan, so the portions were a bit too much for us (we’re not that young anymore) and we couldn’t finish everything, but we were very satisfied with the quality—especially the shabu-shabu, which was delicious. The proprietress showed us to our Room and also served our meals; she was refined and courteous, which I personally liked very much. Perhaps because there was heavy rain that day, there were already two other parties arriving at check-in time, so it may have been unavoidable due to staffing levels, but the only disappointment was having to wait in another room for over 10 minutes before completing check-in procedures.

We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Although we arrived a little late, we were welcomed warmly, and they even gifted us Hakone rusks as a keepsake. Their thoughtful hospitality made us feel right away that this was a wonderful place. The room was spacious, and the open-air bath on the balcony was exceptional!! Soaking in the silky-smooth water while feeling the cool night air outside was pure bliss. My boyfriend loved it so much that he woke up early to enjoy it again the next morning. The shared hot spring bath downstairs also had a lovely atmosphere, and we were able to relax and enjoy a long soak. The complimentary ice pops after bathing were also a nice touch. And the meal we had been looking forward to was even better than expected! The spiny lobster in particular was outstanding—plump, sweet, and delicious. The soup had a gentle flavor as well, and you could really feel the care put into each dish. The fire show–like performance was amazing too (lol). They also kindly accommodated our last-minute request for a surprise dessert plate on the day, which allowed us to celebrate in such a special way. We are truly grateful to all of the staff who helped us and everyone in the kitchen. I had been following them on Instagram for some time and always hoped to visit one day. I’m so glad we were able to come for our anniversary this time. We were completely satisfied with everything—the hot springs, cuisine, and hospitality. I highly recommend this property for anniversaries with someone special or anyone looking to spend an unforgettable time.

My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

The Room had a continuously flowing cloudy Onsen, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful Room Service and Shuttle Service. It was excellent value for a Saturday stay for one guest. The only disappointment was that amenities such as facial lotion were individually packaged and provided for just one use—I would have appreciated at least two uses. The meals were the right amount for me, but they may feel a bit light for younger guests or men. Next time, I’d like to enjoy a drink at the bar.

This was an Accommodation I was very satisfied with. The private bath and the in-room bath were especially wonderful, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Overall, I felt it offered great value for the price. For breakfast, rice, miso soup, raw egg, and natto are available for unlimited refills, but the initial serving was already generous enough that refills weren’t necessary—I was very satisfied. For dinner, you can choose from two course options; however, at check-in on the first day, the sushi & shabu-shabu course was fully booked. Even so, both courses were excellent in both quality and portion size, and everything was delicious. The amenities were also well stocked, and I appreciated the snack service as well as the wide selection of yukata provided. There were complimentary ice cream and coffee services along with late-night soba throughout my stay, which made me feel how extensive the services were. The late-night soba was also very tasty. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be dinner service. Sometimes water or tea was provided at the start and sometimes it wasn’t; also, there were times when drinks weren’t refilled unless we asked. That point stood out slightly, but aside from that I was extremely satisfied overall and would definitely like to stay again.

We were very satisfied with everything—the staff’s service, the atmosphere of the Accommodation, and the meals. We had an unexpected issue on our side, but they responded kindly and supportively, and we are truly grateful.
