Takechintei, located within the vast Mifuneyama Rakuen grounds, was a wonderful Accommodation filled with warm hospitality. The staff’s thoughtful care was exceptional, and we were truly grateful for service beyond what we could have hoped for. Although July was already extremely hot, the breeze in the forest was pleasant, and we enjoyed a refreshing walk among the trees. The meals were also a delight, with the chef’s finest dishes beautifully presented on carefully selected tableware such as Arita ware. Some dishes felt slightly sweet to me as someone from the Kanto region, but I felt they were of a refined restaurant quality that goes beyond typical Onsen Ryokan cuisine. Next time, I would love to stay during the season when 5,000 cherry blossoms or azaleas are in bloom. Thank you very much.

The sauna-equipped room we came for was refined in both design and functionality, and it was amazing to enjoy the sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor air bath right in the room. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. With its stylish design and calm, high-quality atmosphere, we enjoyed an excellent meal. The tableware and presentation were thoughtfully done as well, making it a feast for all five senses. The Hotel’s interior and overall ambiance are wonderful, so it seems popular with female guests too. We will definitely book the sauna-equipped room again.

The room, with its white-based design and high ceiling, felt clean and relaxing with heated wooden flooring. The semi-open-air bath in the room was spacious, filled with plenty of silky smooth water. Having a water dispenser was also very convenient. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making the experience truly delightful. The staff showed great care and attention to my elderly mother, allowing us to enjoy our stay with peace of mind. Thank you very much!

It’s not a flashy tourist destination, and it doesn’t have particularly scenic views, but it’s my favorite Accommodation where you can relax and unwind. I’ve visited nearly 10 times so far. The biggest highlight is probably the food. The kaiseki cuisine, served in beautiful tableware, has had a consistently reliable taste for years. Because more Rooms now come with open-air baths, there are three small baths that you can use whenever they’re available. Two of them require going up and down steep stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend them for guests with mobility issues, but they have a wonderful atmosphere. The Onsen water quality is excellent and well regarded. This time I chose a relatively affordable Room, so there was no in-room dining. Still, the Room was clean and prepared so our family could spend quiet time together, so there were no issues. This was my first time visiting by train. If you contact them in advance, they can also provide pick-up and drop-off service. One downside—though I’m not sure if this applies to all Rooms—is that the toilet/bath area in the Room is a unit bath. It’s a bit disappointing given how charming the Room is otherwise. Also, while you can walk around barefoot inside the building, it was disappointing that they no longer provide socks—though perhaps I simply should have asked for them. If possible, I recommend a Multiple Night Stay so you can take it easy—read books, enjoy the Onsen, and take naps during the day. I’d like to visit again.

The Onsen is the main highlight, and with a full range of comfortable amenities, I was able to enjoy a truly fulfilling day. After working up a sweat at the gym, I played a little table tennis and felt like a kid again. The sauna is spacious and made of wood, and there is also a mist sauna—I did five rounds in total. To finish, I relaxed in the shallow pool and took a break with a draft beer. The large public bath left me feeling refreshed.

Even arriving in the evening, just having tea while looking out the window made me feel refreshed and away from my usual routine. The meals were beautifully presented, so I couldn’t help taking photos before enjoying them. The Room lighting was a bit subdued, so it felt slightly dim only when getting ready, but otherwise I stayed very comfortably.

Conveniently located in front of Takeo-Onsen Station, a Shinkansen transfer station, and easily accessible with hardly getting wet even in the rain. It was an affordable Hotel with excellent service—nothing to complain about. The breakfast had more variety than expected, was delicious, and very satisfying.

I stayed here during my trip. I really appreciated being able to use the parking lot freely even with a motorcycle (some Accommodations make this difficult). The in-house Facilities were clean and more than adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and it helped me recover from travel fatigue. I booked a Plan with breakfast, and it was excellent value for money—I was very satisfied. I’d like to stay here again.

I had a Multiple Night Stay. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, so I was able to stay comfortably. When a group came in, the staff asked if I could shift my breakfast time, and they also made announcements and posted notices so we wouldn’t overlap, which allowed me to enjoy breakfast at a relaxed pace. However, one thing: breakfast was buffet-style, but I didn’t realize drinks were available until the last day—after I had finished eating—when I heard staff informing other guests. That part was a little disappointing. There wasn’t much noise, and parking was easy as well. Personally, I would like to stay at AZ again if I have the chance.

I’ve stayed here several times. Some parts of the room and facilities feel a bit dated, but I had no issues at all. It’s in a convenient location for sightseeing, and my favorite ramen shop, Chikurin Honten, is about a 10-minute drive away. There’s also an eel restaurant within walking distance. The Hotel has parking both in front and at the back, so you should be able to park without trouble. I feel it offers good value for the price. Many of the Hotel staff are wonderful, so I recommend it. I also heard that a new Hotel will open near the station around the end of 2026—I’m hoping to stay there too (laugh).

I have stayed here several times. It is an excellent Accommodation within walking distance of the station, and you can also enjoy the Onsen. The complimentary light breakfast was delicious, which I really appreciated. It seems the Hotel in front of the station has started charging for breakfast, so I hope you will keep up the great work if possible.

Overall, it was very good. However, please note that parking is first-come, first-served and you may end up parking far from your Room. The coin laundry is closed from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. These were the two things that caused me a bit of trouble this time. I used it for work, so I checked in early and didn’t return until after 11:00 p.m. Since it closes at midnight, I couldn’t do my laundry. My car was also parked in the farthest spot. The Room and the bed were very good. It was also nice to receive a frozen bento meal—you can eat it whenever you like. Having a microwave in each Room is very convenient!

I stayed here on the first day of my Onsen tour in Saga Prefecture. Everything was perfect, including the baths and the meals. The bath water was unbelievably silky and milky white—an experience I’ve never had before. The food was delicious, as you’d expect from a property that also runs a Japanese restaurant! Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay. It’s expensive at 100,000 yen per night for one person, though.

The front desk staff were kind and provided thoughtful hospitality. The Room and bath were clean, making it a comfortable space to relax. The amenities were well stocked, and we especially appreciated having even a towel for washing. Our children were very satisfied as well.

During Golden Week in Takeo Onsen, when many visitors come to the area, I stayed one night at this impressive property at the foot of the mountains. The facilities were very clean, and the baths were excellent. The sauna seemed to be out of order, but even with just the baths I was sweating nonstop. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. It was also reassuring that the staff made frequent rounds. I would like to stay again.

Thank you for warmly welcoming us despite our late arrival after 8 PM (we had a breakfast-only plan). The room and onsen were very comfortable, and we felt completely refreshed. The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff provided excellent service. The water pressure in the bathroom faucet was weak, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature, so it would be great if this could be improved. While some of the facilities feel slightly dated, everything else was fine, and we had a very pleasant stay. We would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

For my first trip to Saga, I stayed at this accommodation that I had been curious about for a long time. This time, I chose a room with an open-air bath that I couldn't stop thinking about. The bath was spacious, and the changing scenery and temperature throughout the day made it absolutely perfect! Since I'm not interested in saunas at all, I spent most of my time soaking in the room's bath. The staff were kind, and although I didn't have high expectations for TeamLab, it was impressive how they repurposed unused areas of the accommodation for collaboration. Of course, TeamLab itself was wonderful too. The food was delicious; however, if there's one thing to mention—it might be that the dining area felt either too bright or perhaps the tables were placed too close together... It gave off a slightly restless vibe or lacked a sense of calmness compared to other spaces in the accommodation. It almost felt like stepping into a completely different place with more of a cafeteria-like atmosphere—not disappointing but noticeably different from elsewhere in this lovely accommodation. Still, it's definitely an accommodation I'd love to visit again! Thank you so much to all the staff!

I always stay here. Even when it’s busy, I’m impressed by the heartfelt service at the front desk. The Onsen is spacious, and I can relax and unwind. Thank you as always.

On the third day of my solo trip from Tokyo to Saga, I stayed at Shunkeiya in Takeo Onsen. It is located right next to the Romon Gate, and the building is very clean and beautiful. They prepared a 14-tatami corner Room for me even though I was traveling alone, and dinner served in the Room was wonderfully varied and absolutely delicious. The attendant assigned to my Room was also excellent, and the free-flowing natural hot spring water was superb. Even though I was on my own, they provided Shuttle Service to the station—an Accommodation where everything was thoughtfully taken care of. I love traveling and have stayed in many places, but considering how reasonably priced it is, I was satisfied with everything here. If it were in the Kanto area, I could visit often—it's a shame it’s not. Next time, I would definitely like to come again with my wife. This first solo trip became a truly wonderful memory for me.

Located in a quiet area, I had a good night's sleep. It is a bit of a walk from Takeo Onsen Station, but the Takeo Onsen Romon Gate is nearby. Checking out was convenient as I only needed to drop the card key into the box. The Hotel had a water dispenser and amenities like disposable chopsticks, which were very helpful. (Although I didn't use them this time) breakfast and manga are also available, which seem enjoyable. I would love to stay here again when visiting Takeo. Thank you!
