This is my fourth stay. I love the semi-open-air bath in the Room, and the food is flawless. Above all, what’s truly wonderful is that every staff member welcomes you with a genuine smile. Their words feel warm and heartfelt, never routine. The perfectly renovated interior is spotless, with stylish Scandinavian-style furniture—pure relaxation at its best. I definitely want to come back again next year.

From the warm welcome to the heartfelt send-off, we were truly satisfied with the hospitality. With the carefully designed interior and a beautiful garden view, we could freely enjoy a variety of delicious Ureshino cold teas, which helped us forget the heat. Dinner was delicately prepared with deep flavors and was beautiful to look at; even my mother, who has visited Onsen all over The whole country, was deeply moved. The bath in our Room was also a continuously flowing Onsen, and it felt wonderful. All of the staff were genuinely kind, and their smiles were soothing as well.

I made a Reservation just two days in advance, and the property was very clean with a calm atmosphere, so I had a comfortable stay. Since it was a one-night stay with No Meals Included, I didn’t use anything other than the Room. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but they greeted me politely when I went out, and their bright, friendly manner was very pleasant. The Room was spotless and well stocked with amenities, and I was able to relax quietly. The area is rural and there aren’t any convenience stores nearby, but there are small shops, an Onsen Facility, and restaurants just a short walk away, so even with children we were able to enjoy ourselves 충분に楽しむことができました。 I also got to enjoy Saga’s beautiful nature and cherry blossoms. With great weather as well, it turned into a wonderful trip.

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. During my Kyushu trip in mid-June, I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) in the “Chikurintei—Panoramic Open-Air Bath (Japanese-Western Room)” nestled within Mifuneyama Rakuen’s vast grounds. I stayed in the “Yamazakura” Room, which offered views of Mt. Mifune from the corridor and garden, and even had a private gate with direct access to Mifuneyama Rakuen. The open-air bath is a standing-style bath set among trees. It creates a unique floating sensation, and because the water pressure is applied evenly over the whole body, I felt less fatigue afterward. Being able to enjoy the garden and sky while standing also adds to the wonderful sense of openness. The Onsen water is clear and colorless—an alkaline simple spring—with an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, so I never tired of soaking. The indoor bath is heated groundwater, but I also enjoyed it: the hinoki tub was very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to fill. What stood out most was the outstanding quality of dinner. The kaiseki course featuring seasonal local ingredients such as Takezaki crab immediately draws you in with its dashi—clear yet deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced. Each dish reflected the season in both taste and presentation: refined and truly beautiful. Beyond ingredient quality alone, there was a confident simplicity backed by real skill. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, every meal was flawless at an exceptional level. Simply superb—thank you for such a feast. Another highlight was visiting teamLab’s art installations at the affiliated Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel on the same grounds (guests of Chikurintei can enter free). From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re struck by countless lamps evoking forest flowers and sunlight filtering through trees. The most breathtaking work was “Megalis in Ruins Bathhouse,” where digital projections of seasonal flowers illuminate massive stones rising throughout an abandoned public-bath space. When we visited, different scenes cycled continuously—twelve distinct visuals representing all months—and we became fully immersed for about an hour until they completed one full round late at night before closing. Also worth mentioning: the cold-brew coffee served in the lounge area was delicious—I refilled it many times and enjoyed it back in my Room as well. To everyone at “Oyado Chikurintei,” thank you sincerely for creating such a wonderful stay. I will absolutely return when I visit Takeo Onsen again.

Both dinner and breakfast the next morning were very satisfying!! It was also amazing to be able to watch the limited-time 3D projection mapping right in front of the Hotel around 9:00 PM, just before closing. I felt it was a special privilege of staying inside Huis Ten Bosch, and it was very helpful that we could take the limousine bus from in front of the Hotel to Omura Airport when we left. Our child is three years old and was able to play hard until the end, then slept soundly on the limousine bus. We made wonderful memories. Thank you to all the staff!!

As a classic Hotel, its etiquette, hospitality, respect for privacy, and cleanliness are outstanding. The meals feature thoughtfully crafted seasonal menus. While it is not a large Facility, the Onsen is well equipped, and you can enjoy the soft water quality of Ureshino Onsen. With this balance and level of quality, the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended Accommodation if you are visiting Ureshino Onsen.

When visiting Huis Ten Bosch, I stayed at Hotel Nikko Huis Ten Bosch. This time, I booked a Plan that included both the stay and a one-day passport for Huis Ten Bosch, and it cost 26,100 yen for two people in one Room. With the Accommodation located right next to the park and the passport included at this price, it felt like an excellent deal. The Room showed a bit of age in places, but it was well cleaned and very tidy. I had a comfortable stay with nothing in particular to complain about. Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide variety of options and generous portions. They also offered local dishes, which was a nice way to experience Nagasaki flavors. Everything was delicious, and I could eat well from the morning. Another great feature is the large public bath. After walking around Huis Ten Bosch all day, it was relaxing to soak and ease my fatigue. The bath area also had plenty of basic skincare amenities available, which made it convenient to use with almost no need to bring anything. These thoughtful touches left a great impression. Overall, between the great location, good value with the one-day passport included, tasty breakfast, and the large public bath, it was a very satisfying stay. If you want to fully enjoy Huis Ten Bosch, this is a convenient Hotel I would recommend.

We stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay in early August for a family trip. The welcome cruise we had been looking forward to felt like a private charter, perhaps because it was late, and the sightseeing cruise inside Huis Ten Bosch exceeded our expectations. The Hotel is stunning—not only from the outside, but also with an incredibly elaborate interior that feels overwhelmingly luxurious. After walking down seemingly endless wide corridors, we were shown to our Room, which had a spiral staircase; the upstairs bedroom area was charming and was a big hit with our two daughters. For dinner on the first night, we made a Reservation at one of the Hotel restaurants and enjoyed a delicious meal while listening to live music. Breakfast requires some caution as the buffet can get crowded, but everything—including shabu-shabu—was excellent. The only drawback is that the Onsen is located some distance away, though that can’t really be helped. The Hotel staff were very polished and left us with a great impression. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

We returned to Koyokaku for the first time in a year. When it comes to Ureshino, Koyokaku is our favorite Accommodation as a couple. This time we stayed in a twin Room with a private indoor Onsen bath, and being able to enjoy the Onsen anytime is truly luxurious. For dinner, we enjoyed grilled Saga beef, colorful salads, and sashimi until we were completely full. After that, we took a relaxing walk together—something we don’t often do in everyday life—and realized again that this special time was possible thanks to this Accommodation. We were able to rest comfortably as well. Breakfast was just as wonderful: Onsen tofu, salad with roast beef, grilled fish, an Onsen egg, and rice porridge with six different toppings—such a luxury, and everything tasted amazing. This trip was another fantastic one. Thank you very much to all the staff for your kind hospitality again. We will definitely visit again.

This was my first stay. The Hotel lobby is small, but it features Takeo pottery and Arita ware created in collaboration with overseas designers. It’s a stylish, relaxing space, and we were welcomed with chilled Ureshino tea and a small sweet. The Room felt natural and calming. This Hotel is known for its sauna, and even though I’m not great with saunas, I was able to relax fully and felt completely refreshed (laughs). We stayed as a couple this time, but it’s also a soothing Accommodation where solo female travelers can feel safe staying alone. It has become one of the Hotels I’d love to stay at again.

This was my second stay. The Room size and Facility are fairly standard, but everything is well cleaned and feels very fresh and spotless. The real highlight is the breakfast—there’s a great variety, and everything is delicious. Made-to-order dishes like lemon steak and fried horse mackerel, limited-time specials, and the homemade pudding for dessert were all excellent—I was truly satisfied. The breakfast staff were also kind and attentive, making this a Hotel I’d happily recommend to others. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in town!

It was a truly wonderful stay. The meals were delicious, and the freshly cooked rice was especially outstanding. The tea shabu-shabu was also excellent. The Room had a great atmosphere, and the premium lounge was lovely as well, so we were able to relax and unwind. This is an Accommodation I would love to return to again and again.

The Onsen is the main highlight, and with a full range of comfortable amenities, I was able to enjoy a truly fulfilling day. After working up a sweat at the gym, I played a little table tennis and felt like a kid again. The sauna is spacious and made of wood, and there is also a mist sauna—I did five rounds in total. To finish, I relaxed in the shallow pool and took a break with a draft beer. The large public bath left me feeling refreshed.

We stayed here as three generations, traveling with my parents-in-law. Before our stay, I contacted the Accommodation twice to ask whether our Rooms could be on the same floor, whether we could dine in the same venue, and about meals for the children. Both times, the staff responded courteously, which made us feel at ease on the day of arrival. As this is a long-established Ryokan, the building is not new, but it has a calm atmosphere that suited my parents-in-law perfectly. Some wallpaper in parts of the Room was peeling, and perhaps due to a special type of wallpaper there was some fuzz that seemed to float around, but overall the Room was relatively clean. The meals were kaiseki-style and just the right amount; our family enjoyed them very much. The staff also explained each dish carefully, making it a truly pleasant dining experience. There was also an excellent selection of alcoholic drinks. When traveling with children we often end up choosing buffet-style dining elsewhere, so it was a great experience for them to enjoy kaiseki cuisine as well. In the lounge, perhaps because it is open to non-staying guests too, all seats were taken at first; once seats became available they called our Room via internal phone so we could use it. We were able to spend relaxing time together as a family. As for the Onsen, there is nothing to complain about—the water quality was wonderful and the large public bath was clean. Overall, I felt that the high level of hospitality from all staff members is what drives guest satisfaction here. The Facility itself may not stand out compared with other Ryokan in every respect, but their hospitality more than makes up for it. Thank you very much.

Considering the price range, I was very satisfied. The butler’s thoughtful, casual check-ins were wonderful. If there is one area for improvement, it would be the restroom—it really should be a private room. I will visit again.

We stayed as a family. We were very satisfied with the Accommodation, the Onsen, and the meals. The building had a charming atmosphere (the stairs were a bit challenging), and we enjoyed a clean Onsen of excellent quality and delicious, high-quality cuisine. We were especially surprised by how good the meat, tofu, and rice were. Above all, we truly appreciated the heartfelt hospitality from all the staff. We were happy to receive so much helpful advice about getting around inside the property. We are also very grateful for your thoughtful consideration in providing an irregular Shuttle Service to the station. Although it is far away, this is a wonderful Accommodation we would love to visit again. Thank you for such a lovely time!

The Hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful, and it was great that we could use the large public bath at a nearby sister Hotel. I would like to stay here again when I visit Sasebo.

We were so satisfied the first time we stayed at Hatsune-so that our family kept saying, “Let’s go again,” and we finally made it back! Because it’s designed especially for families with children, there are lots of activities—little kids can enjoy themselves, and adults have fun too. You can borrow children’s sandals, and they provide diapers and baby food as well—there are thoughtful touches throughout the Ryokan that really make a difference. The warmth of the staff also adds to how comfortable it feels. The storytime at “Ehon no Mori” was wonderful. As soon as we got home, we were already talking about when we should go next. Haha

Once again, I chose Den Haag, which I have stayed at before. The warm smiles and friendly greetings from everyone at the Hotel left a lasting impression. I enjoyed the all-inclusive plan and the meals. The cocktails and wine in particular, served in the lounge, were excellent. My child especially loved the soft-serve ice cream. I also like the location with an ocean view—it’s very quiet and relaxing. It’s a wonderful Hotel that I would love to stay at every time.
