I was able to relax in the bath.

I always stay in the Japanese-style room. It is very well cleaned and spotless, and I can also go to Sea Wave and use the Onsen, so I can spend my time comfortably and stress-free, which I really appreciate. Above all, the price is low, and even a Multiple Night Stay is affordable, so I hope you will keep offering this. Thank you.

The Room was stylish and made me feel a bit like a celebrity. There were several bathing options—a private bath in the Room, an open-air bath in the guest Room, and a reservable private open-air bath—and all of them were exceptionally comfortable. The food and drinks were incredibly delicious, making it a wonderful, fun experience and an absolutely happy feast.

Thank you for hosting me during my solo trip to Oita. As mentioned in the reviews, I enjoyed the exceptional onsen and delicious meals. The private bath allowed me to relax at my own pace. Dinner included Oita specialties like toriten and ryukyu, along with various other dishes that paired perfectly with beer. The next morning, I received helpful advice about sightseeing after check-out and purchased a ticket for the mushiyu experience at the accommodation, which was slightly discounted. The balance of attentive yet unobtrusive service made my stay very comfortable. If I have the chance to visit Kannawa Onsen again, I would love to stay here. Thank you for everything!

On a Multiple Night Stay with my elderly mother, the staff were very considerate in many ways, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. The meals were delicious, but for my elderly mother and me (over 60), the portions were too large to finish. We didn’t need lunch; snacks were enough. The Onsen water was great, and we could relax in the scenic-view bath, the family bath, and the steam bath. However, the bathtub in our Room was too deep, which felt a bit dangerous, so unfortunately my mother couldn’t use it. Since there is no elevator, I think guests with mobility issues should check in advance. The sunrise and morning glow from our Room and from the scenic-view bath—as well as the night view—were very beautiful scenery that we could have watched forever.

The hot springs are amazing, the hell-steaming cuisine is outstanding, and the service was excellent.\nThat’s why I keep coming back. I’ll definitely stay here again. Honestly, it’s a flawless, deeply relaxing place I don’t want to tell anyone about.

I travel somewhere every month, and this was an accommodation I would love to stay at again. Thanks to this place, I had a wonderful trip, and I would like to express my gratitude here. Highlights: - Convenient location for sightseeing in Beppu Onsen using only public transportation. - They kindly stored my luggage before check-in. - The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. The amenities in the room were practical and well-thought-out without any unnecessary items. Attention to detail was evident—non-slip tabi socks were a nice touch! - The bedding felt great on the skin; the comforter was light yet warm, allowing me to sleep soundly. Points that might feel inconvenient for some: The private open-air bath attached to the room has high-temperature spring water, so you need to add cold water yourself. It took about 3 minutes to adjust it to a comfortable temperature, so I recommend checking the bath temperature before taking a shower. Personally, I enjoyed being able to set it just right for myself and had a relaxing soak. No negative points come to mind. Two regrets: I couldn’t eat the welcome sweets or the pudding sold there because I was too full!

Room We made a Reservation for a Japanese-style Room with a toilet. The Room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. They provided two layered futon mattresses, so we slept well. Meals There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. The flounder sashimi was especially impressive. Children There was a ball pit in the Room, and we could choose DVDs from many options such as Anpanman, Studio Ghibli, and Disney. We were also able to borrow various items such as toys, bath toys, bath soap for children, a bath chair for children, and an indoor low chair—everything was excellent.

This was our second stay. (Room) Everything was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. If I could ask for just one thing, a softer futon mattress would make it even more comfortable to sleep on. (Meals) Every dish of the heartfelt home cooking prepared by the owner’s father was delicious. The specially ordered Seki horse mackerel had a wonderful crunchy texture and tasted amazing. I was also surprised by the high quality of the desserts. We enjoyed our meal at a relaxed pace in the newly built private dining room. (Onsen) This Accommodation has two baths. Both are beautifully designed and refined, really making you feel you’ve come to Kannawa Onsen, and they were wonderful. They were also well cleaned, so we could bathe comfortably. In addition, another bath had been newly added. (Service) Thanks to the warm, thoughtful service, we were able to relax and take our time. Since this was our second visit, we also got to hear various stories. (Summary) Even though it is a two-story building, there is an elevator, and with new baths and private rooms being added as well, I felt their proactive spirit and wanted to support them. We look forward to staying again—thank you in advance.

When I asked for help planning my proposal, they kindly agreed to assist. They communicated with great care and even helped with the decorations. I truly hope to stay here again.

I had a very quiet and comfortable stay during my previous visit, so this time I chose a Multiple Night Stay. Located in the heart of Tsukahara Highlands, it was incredibly peaceful, and despite staying at the end of July, the nights were cool and comfortable without needing air conditioning. We enjoyed barbecues for two consecutive days after purchasing ingredients in Yufu City. I selected the Botiboti Room. The outdoor bath allowed us to relax while gazing at the starry sky, alternating between warming up in the bath and cooling off on an outdoor bench in the night breeze—a truly serene experience. On our second day, we even spotted a family of deer during our stay, which thrilled the children immensely. The bath is spacious; filling it with hot water made it just right for soaking comfortably. The owner was kind and approachable, providing detailed guidance with great care. I would love to stay here again when visiting Oita!

The facility is somewhat old-fashioned, with water facilities reflecting a bygone era. It may not be suitable for those accustomed to the latest amenities, but I found the retro and calming atmosphere of the café space to match well with the interior of the Ryokan. The bath had a limited capacity, requiring some consideration, but there was no crowding, and using the bathing area was smooth. The bathtub was filled with many floating citrus fruits (zabon), which gave off a wonderful fragrance. We only requested breakfast, which featured standard Ryokan-style dishes with plenty of side dishes to accompany rice. It left us feeling very full. One highlight was meeting the resident cats! At designated times, we visited their room where four cats were present—just watching them was soothing. The hostess kindly ensured that everyone could interact with them comfortably, and even children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Around the front desk were various cat-themed items that showcased their love for cats clearly. Our children adored the cats so much that they said they want to visit again! If we have another chance in the future, we would love to return here again!

The property is new, clean, and well maintained, and I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance to visit the area.

This is a Ryokan where you can fully enjoy a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Service was handled mainly by just two people: the proprietress and someone who seemed to be the manager. Aside from us as a couple, there was only one family of three, so we felt they probably accept only about four groups per day. The building is said to be nearly 100 years old, so some age is unavoidable, but the toilets had washlets and Wi‑Fi worked as well. We had no particular inconveniences. Both the kaiseki dinner and the Shokado bento breakfast were delicious, and since we had recently grown tired of large buffet halls, we were very satisfied. There are three Onsen baths including an open-air bath; we used two of them. At first the water was a bit too hot to get in right away, but we adjusted it by adding cold water. The water quality was good. It may not suit those who prioritize newness and convenience, but for those from the Showa generation it felt nostalgic and was more than satisfying as an Accommodation. We were a little worried because there are extremely few Reviews, but we’re glad we stayed here.

The building feels a bit old, but it also incorporates some newer touches here and there, creating a lovely modern atmosphere. The indoor bath is somewhat dated, but it was kept clean and I was able to enjoy it comfortably. After soaking in the Onsen, my body gradually warmed up and it felt very relaxing. The open-air bath is a private family bath, so my husband and I were able to take our time and enjoy the Onsen together. Breakfast was delicious across the board, served warm, and we were very satisfied.

Rated 4 stars because, although the Onsen is nice, it requires reheating and you need to be mindful of making minimal noise when pouring water. The parking is free but can be hard to locate for first-timers, and there’s some distance to carry luggage. However, the owner was very friendly and welcoming, and the Room felt cozy like being at home, which made the stay enjoyable.

The clean Room made for a very pleasant stay. The staff promptly responded to sudden requests, which was greatly appreciated. It was well-received by my family, and I would love to use it again.

Since the Hotel is located in a shopping arcade, I honestly didn’t have very high expectations—but once I entered, both the entrance and the Room were clean, and watching PVs on the big screen was amazing. The bathroom was also clean. This is a Hotel I’d like to use again when I visit Beppu. I used the shop on the first floor at night. The atmosphere and staff were great. Thank you very much.

We stayed here the night before visiting Harmonyland. The front desk staff didn’t seem to be Japanese, but their Japanese was excellent and they were very polite. Both the room and the bath felt old, but we could tell they were making an effort to keep everything clean. There were several things that concerned us, such as the window not locking, but you can’t beat this price. We stayed with our child as well, and they weren’t scared by how old it was—they really enjoyed making free cotton candy and playing the shooting game. We happened to have the hot spring to ourselves, but it isn’t very large, so it might feel stressful if other guests are there… Shampoo/conditioner and body soap were provided in both the room and the bath. Overall, for this price, being able to stay in central Beppu and also enjoy a hot spring was very satisfying. It felt like a great value!

The private Room had an Onsen bath, and it was great to be able to use it freely. The shared large public bath was a little cool. Also, the family bath, which required a short walk, was hard to find at first and I got lost. When I asked the staff, they told me rather curtly to scan it with my smartphone and find my own way. I managed to get there in the end. Overall, it was good.
