Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. You even prepared matcha for us, and we enjoyed it very much. The Room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and our skin felt pleasantly moisturized even after bathing. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The round-trip Shuttle Service was available, which we really appreciated. It’s in a quiet location, so we were able to relax. All the staff we met were polite and provided excellent service. As others have mentioned, the meals were the best we’ve had among all Kyoritsu Group properties we’ve visited. Since spiny lobster was unavailable due to the closed season, abalone sashimi was served instead—everything tasted great, and the portion was surprisingly generous. One small concern: right after check-in, at the open-air area of the rock-bath public bath (toward the back), there were quite large dead insects (beetles and moths). Given the natural surroundings it may be unavoidable, but I’d appreciate it if that area could also be checked more carefully.

With construction starting in September, and since we can only travel on weekdays, this was our last stay of the year. The food, the baths, and the Room were wonderful—and above all, the staff’s hospitality was exceptional in every way. What impressed us most this time was how you remembered what we discussed during our previous stay about how to serve chilled sake, and then made it happen exactly as promised. We were able to enjoy it deliciously right to the very last sip. Your prompt response truly surprised us and made us feel that you are always thinking of your guests. This is a special place for us. We are deeply grateful for this encounter, and we sincerely look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

We stayed in the Kozu Room. The Room was spacious and comfortable. Although the facilities are mostly shared with Kowakien, they are clearly separated in various ways, which was great. The meals were delicious and more than we could finish. All the staff were courteous, and we had a wonderful time. This is an Accommodation I can recommend.

The Accommodation itself is compact, but the detached annex is impressive and offers plenty of space. The meals were distinctive yet delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared.

I stayed in August. The Hotel itself felt a bit old, but the necessary areas have been renovated. Good points - The Hotel has an outdoor pool. Ito’s Orange Beach is a bit far, so the pool is more than enough for kids to play. It’s heated and the water temperature was comfortable. - There are karaoke rooms, table tennis, and a free manga corner. - The complimentary Onsen manju at welcome service is delicious. - As part of the Fujita Kanko Group, there are Plans that include free tickets to Hakone Yunessun and Shimoda Aquarium. There is also a 24-hour MaxValu right next door where you can buy snacks and sweets anytime. Points for improvement - If it’s only seafood, you get tired of it, so I’d like more variety in meat and vegetable dishes as well. - I would prefer a card key for the Room. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.

The Room, the bath, and the private bath were all great. The food was also excellent. There was a fireworks festival, and it was close to the venue so we could see it well. We will stay again.

I usually stay at Itoen Group properties, but this time I tried staying here with a breakfast-included Plan! There are various shops nearby, so not having dinner included was no problem at all. I came by motorcycle, and it was raining quite heavily on the day of checkout, so when I told them I wanted to extend my stay, they looked into options and arranged it for me. The staff were very helpful, and I had a very satisfying stay. Next time, I’d like to try the Plan with dinner included.

This is our fourth year staying here. We stay here every summer on our family trip. It’s a Hotel that perfectly embodies the “Welcome home” concept, and each year we truly feel like we’re coming back home when we stay. Our children also love everyone at the Hotel, and we are always comforted by your thoughtful attention to detail and warm smiles. The meals are also delicious—our kids, who usually don’t eat much, ate so much that even we were surprised. In our first year, the main purpose of our trip was going to the beach, but now staying at Powell has become the reason for our visit. Next year, as our children move up a grade, how we spend summer vacation may change and we might not be able to come in summer. Even so, I’m sure we’ll visit again even if it’s in a different season. Thanks to everyone at Powell, it was a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

To satisfy my hungry junior-high grandson, I looked for a place with a delicious buffet. My husband had stayed here twice before and said the Room was spacious, so we chose it. In reality, the roomy interior let each of us relax at our own pace, and the services—like the drink bar and after-bath ice cream—were excellent. My grandson was thrilled. We enjoyed playing in the pool and the Onsen pool, and we also had fun at the evening festival stalls. All of the staff were very kind, which left a great impression. This is a Hotel that makes you want to come back. Just one thing: it was disappointing that it felt hot inside the elevator.

The Onsen was simply wonderful! Since we were traveling as a couple, we used the private family bath, and we slept soundly afterward. It was also lovely to soak in the footbath while watching the koi. Depending on the day of the week, there’s almost nothing around nearby, so you may want to have dinner at the Hotel or eat elsewhere in advance so you can relax. Also, I understand the eco-friendly approach with fewer amenities, but it would be very helpful if at least facial lotion were provided. Still, breakfast was delicious, and overall I’m truly glad we stayed!

Luxurious atmosphere, delicious meals, and outstanding staff! In the evening, I enjoyed drinks with my wife and had a wonderful time.

The Room did not have a private bath, but it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted great. There were chairs in the smoking area as well, so I was able to relax comfortably. It was a Hotel I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

As a middle-aged guest who loves Itoen Hotels, I had always wanted to stay at the main building in Ito. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The biggest highlight was the Onsen. The free-flowing hot spring water felt like a luxury. Even in Ito Onsen, where the volume of hot spring water is abundant, I believe there are only a limited number of Accommodations that offer true free-flowing baths. The clear, gentle water was easy to soak in and warmed me through. Regarding the Room, mine was on the third floor up a staircase. As this is an older Hotel with many stairs, it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility, but it also gave me a chance to reflect on an era when things were likely less convenient than they are today. The riverside view from the Room I worked hard to reach was charming and atmospheric. As for meals and drinks, there may have been fewer options than at other Itoen group Hotels, but it was more than enough for me. The sashimi and local dishes were especially good. I also appreciated that they offered several types of sake. Another great feature of this Hotel is that guests can play the grand piano. Many Hotels have pianos but do not allow guests to touch them, so I was impressed by this service. Unfortunately, the available playing time was short and overlapped completely with dinner hours, so there was practically no time to play. To make matters worse, one male guest monopolized the piano all evening without leaving it once. It felt unfair to see many other guests lingering around the lobby who likely wanted to try it or take photos as well. Still, that issue lies with the guest rather than the Hotel—I hope they continue offering this service. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Because the bath is in the Room, you can enjoy the Onsen without worrying about time. The meals were also visually appealing and delicious. However, because the property is located along a road, traffic noise was noticeable, and the bed springs pressed against my body and were painful while sleeping—these are the reasons I rated it 4.

After enjoying the day-use Onsen at Imaihama and Kitagawa, I stayed here. I arrived too early, and when I went back to my car, the staff kindly called out to me. The Room, meals, Onsen, and service were all excellent. It felt like I had the Accommodation all to myself that day. I found another wonderful Accommodation on the Izu Peninsula.

I stayed here to watch the Hashi Festival fireworks. The building is old, but everything is clean; the Room is spacious, with well-stocked amenities and Facility, and the Onsen is at a perfect temperature—an Accommodation with nothing to fault. All staff were naturally friendly and kind, and I was especially impressed by the approachable, warm driver of the Shuttle Service. I also stayed in July at a certain Ryokan in Ito that is said to be very popular among Onsen enthusiasts and hard to get a Reservation for, but I definitely preferred this one.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

We really enjoyed a variety of fish and left feeling completely satisfied. Breakfast was refreshing, with a menu that was a little different from other Accommodations. The Onsen can be reserved for private use, so we were able to relax and really enjoyed it.

I think the highlight of this Ryokan is the heartfelt service from the staff. At dinner, they were very attentive to the timing of each dish. While many Ryokan and restaurants bring out dishes one after another, I was truly impressed. They carefully checked whether it was a good time to bring the simmered golden eye snapper and whether they should serve the fried dishes yet, so every dish was enjoyed at its best. They also asked if I wanted another serving of rice, which made me feel this is a wonderful Accommodation. We could see the ocean from both the Room and the large public bath, and we were able to relax at ease. The food was delicious as well, and we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.
