สถานีอามาฮาราชิ × โรงแรม·เรียวกังที่มีคะแนนความพึงพอใจสูง

We stayed here on the first night of our 4-night, 5-day trip to Toyama to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday—Toyama is her favorite place. There were three of us (mother and daughters), and since we don’t eat large portions, we were worried about whether we could finish a full auberge course meal. We contacted them in advance, and they kindly discussed various options with us. In the end, my mother was thrilled—she even finished not only her share but mine as well, enjoying crab that had just come into season. Every dish showcased outstanding craftsmanship, and we enjoyed the food served on beautiful tableware passed down through generations from the owner’s father and grandfather. They also prepared an 88th-birthday red vest (chanchanko) and hat for her, and the photos we took are a wonderful keepsake. The glass-walled bath with its breathtaking view was amazing, and thanks to their carefully chosen bedding, we slept very comfortably. It was satisfying in every way beyond just the cuisine. The owners are a truly warm and lovely couple, and it felt like the entire auberge was wrapped in that welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent value for money! Close to the station, and far cleaner than you’d ever expect from the exterior. Maybe it’s been renovated? Everything is well maintained, and above all, the front desk staff are truly pleasant and welcoming. It’s also convenient for getting to both Himi and Toyama, and there aren’t many people around (which is also great!). I’d definitely like to stay here again on my next trip to Toyama. Highly recommended!

Although it was described as a guesthouse, to me it was a wonderful auberge with outstanding service. We stayed in a special Room with a semi-open-air bath, and enjoyed Hotel-like furnishings and hospitality. Thank you very much. The meals featured an incredible amount of seafood. The seasoning had a Kansai-style flavor with rich dashi, and even when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, it was so delicious we finished everything. On the second night, both the taste and portion size were upgraded—highly satisfying. From the Room and the dining area, we could also faintly see the Tateyama Mountain Range across Toyama Bay (Himi Bay). It was truly moving. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

From the warm hospitality to the excellent service from all the staff, we had a wonderful time. We also enjoyed unexpected activities such as the table tennis service, and the ocean view from our Room was beautiful—making it a truly memorable day. The meals offered a great variety, and we were able to fully enjoy many of Toyama’s local specialties. The evening course dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and we were extremely satisfied. One thing we hope will improve further is the overall cleanliness and odor inside the building. We stayed in a non-smoking Room, but noticed a slight smell of cigarette smoke on the floor. Since it is such a lovely Ryokan, improving this point would make the stay even more comfortable. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful—this is a Ryokan we would like to give five stars. It’s a place we would love to visit again with our family. We would be even happier if these points have been improved by our next visit.

The restaurant is modern, and the Accommodation Fee is affordable.

Despite being located almost directly connected to the station, you won’t hear train noise. Just pass through the underpass beneath the tracks to reach a large supermarket, which is very convenient. There are separate large public baths for men and women, and a coin laundry in the changing area. The breakfast buffet includes Western options such as bread, but I was grateful to find locally sourced items like herring kelp rolls and kamaboko (fish cake).

A private Onsen is available, and the bath offers a wonderful view from the Room. Tableware is also available to borrow, so you can relax in your Room and enjoy your meal while taking in the scenery.

Due to the heavy rain, the Himi Line was suspended and I was stranded in Takaoka. You contacted me to let me know I could come by bus, and you even picked me up at the bus stop, which was a great help. The Room was clean, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish dishes. I would like to visit again.

When I made the Reservation, it was during the Obon holiday period, so only a semi-double room was available. However, I requested a change to a twin room. At check-in, a cancellation became available and you were able to accommodate the change. I truly had a comfortable and pleasant night. Thank you very much.

Both the Room and the bath were comfortable, and I had a pleasant stay. However, the entrance is hard to find. In particular, when I tried to enter from the road, I had trouble going up and down while searching for it.

The French dinner was very stylish, and the taste was a perfect 10. Breakfast was completely different—Japanese cuisine. The overnight-dried blackthroat seaperch in particular was unbelievably delicious and truly moving. For our family, who all love alcohol, the all-inclusive plan was fantastic. We were happy to be able to enjoy drinks whenever we wanted. This Accommodation doesn’t have an Onsen, but you can receive free tickets for a nearby Onsen. However, since it was summer, going outside to the Onsen left us drenched in sweat. This time, the bath in our Room might have been enough. The Facility was very clean, and the staff were wonderful—an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again!

I mainly travel around the Chubu region, and this was the cleanest and most relaxing Room I’ve stayed in so far. It was excellent—thank you very much. If breakfast included a buffet, I think it would be truly top-class.

The meals were excellent in both quality and portion size, and the woman who served us had a lovely, welcoming manner. The Facility was also great: the Room was spacious with a panoramic ocean view, and we were moved to see the sunrise rising above the horizon. It was a Room where four adults could relax comfortably. The in-room hair dryer was ReFa, which made my daughter very happy. We also appreciated the L’OCCITANE amenities in the Room—they were easy to use and a nice touch.

As other Reviews mention, every dish was delicious. The sashimi and the grilled nodoguro with salt were especially outstanding. Breakfast was just as satisfying. The sea is truly close by, and it felt great to take a walk in the morning. We were also able to relax in a private Onsen. It’s quite far so it’s not easy to visit often, but if I go to Toyama again, I’d love to stay here again.

I stayed at this Accommodation as the destination for a long solo road trip. The exterior and interior have a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere—there’s even a barbershop inside the Hotel—and it feels like a dignified, classic Hotel from a good old time. Even the low ceilings, typical of older Hotels, felt comforting and relaxing. As for the Room itself, some furnishings do show their age, but everything was well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, which gave me great peace of mind. I used the top-floor restaurant for breakfast; even the retro chairs were carefully cared for, and you can really tell they’re valued and kept in good condition. The bathroom facilities were well maintained and clean, and things like the air conditioner controller had been updated to be easy to use today. And the in-room TV was a 50-inch smart TV—perfectly comfortable for me since I travel with a Fire TV stick. I enjoyed streaming without any cut-off screens late into the night. Because of work I haven’t been able to travel as often lately, but when I finally managed to make time and plan this trip, choosing this Accommodation as my destination was absolutely ideal. Breakfast was as satisfying as others have written—I ate too much. Newly built Hotels are all modern and spotless and tend to grab your attention, but keeping an older Hotel’s furnishings clean, beautiful, safe, and in good condition takes steady behind-the-scenes effort from the staff every day—and that’s when you truly see what hospitality is all about. If I have another chance, I’d love to visit again with staying at this Accommodation as my main purpose. Thank you very much for such a comfortable stay.

Complimentary ochazuke is provided. There is also a free service of one or two drinks, and a large public bath. I enjoyed my stay.

The bathtub was a comfortable size, and I was able to relax very well.

I stayed here for the Toyama Marathon. It was very convenient, just a few minutes from Takaoka Station. The twin Room I used was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the railway tracks were right below, so the sound of passing trains was a bit distracting.

I had always wanted to visit Himi, but I struggled to find the perfect accommodation that matched my ideal. After extensive research, I discovered this wonderful accommodation. This small luxury retreat accommodates only two groups per day, but on the day of our stay, we were fortunate to have it all to ourselves. It felt like having a private villa—a truly luxurious experience. The meals exceeded all expectations. The creative dishes featuring Toyama's seafood were absolutely exquisite. What elevated this culinary experience even further was the sake pairing selected by the proprietress, who is a certified sake sommelier. Each pairing perfectly complemented each dish and brought out the full flavors of Toyama's seafood. Conversations with all the staff were also incredibly enjoyable. This is an accommodation that makes you want to return again and again. Wishing you continued success in your endeavors! Thank you very much!

Thank you for kindly accommodating us even though we checked in after 19:00. From the front desk to the staff serving and clearing during dinner, everyone greeted us with a smile, which helped soothe our tired bodies. The bath water was pleasantly silky with a slight saltiness, and we were able to relax at length (the water is quite hot!). The room felt very clean, smelled of fresh tatami mats, and was extremely relaxing. Since it rained the whole time, the view from the room was... If there had been a photo of the Tateyama Mountain Range somewhere in the inn—perhaps near the room—we might have been able to imagine how wonderful the view would be on a clear day. One issue was that a centipede appeared in our room, which caused quite a commotion.
