I always look forward to the Onsen, especially enjoying it while watching the koi swimming. The Shinshu Local Sake Tasting Plan we used this time was very satisfying for my family who loves sake. The staff were attentive and courteous, which I really appreciated. I think having a

The entire facility was impeccably clean. The meals were incredibly satisfying both in volume and taste—plenty to eat and drink to satisfy even heavy drinkers like us! Free soft drinks and beer for just 100 yen were definitely highlights. Overall, while there wasn’t excessive se

Thank you very much for taking care of us at Kamiyamada Hotel! The bathing facilities were wonderful—starting from the entrance to the large public bath, there was plenty of hinoki cypress, and it paired perfectly with the soothing scent of sulfur. The washing area was neatly divided into sections of just the right size and felt very clean, and we were also satisfied with the free-flowing hot spring water. In the open-air bath, the temperature was just right; it warmed us through to the core and left our skin silky smooth. The water quality was excellent, and with its charming atmosphere, it was a calm and relaxing space. We would love to come back again.

This was my first time visiting Togura Kamiyamada Onsen. The proprietress kindly showed me to my room, and I was already in relaxation mode after being served delicious pickles and tea. The hot spring is 100% free-flowing from the source, available 24 hours a day. The water was wonderfully smooth with a gentle sulfur scent, and I enjoyed it many times—after arrival, at night, and again in the morning. And then the meal I had been looking forward to! Every dish was carefully prepared and truly delicious. I also tried the seasonal strawberry liqueur; it wasn’t overly sweet, and the fresh strawberry aroma was delightful. The proprietress served me with a warm smile, and our small conversations were so enjoyable that even though I was traveling solo, I had a wonderful time dining. I also appreciated being able to relax over my meal in the newly renovated private dining room. This was my first visit to Togura Kamiyamada Onsen, and both the baths and the cuisine were outstanding—I’d love to return in another season. Thank you very much.

The cheesecake dessert after dinner was rich and satisfying! The cute blueberry garnish added an extra charm. Breakfast the next morning was also incredibly delicious. Overall This Ryokan paid attention to every detail with exceptional care, making it such a wonderful place that

It’s a quiet, old-fashioned Onsen town, but the Onsen is simply outstanding! The water quality is irresistible for Onsen lovers. The building is clean, and the service is courteous. There’s not much around due to the location, but it’s one of those Hotels you’ll want to visit again.

The open-air bath was wonderful. Regarding viewing the fireworks: although it rained during the festival, we could watch them from our Room, which was very comfortable. My elderly mother and small children seemed very satisfied as well. We would love to stay again next year. Th

The price was very affordable, the Room was spacious, and being a Japanese-style room, it was perfect for staying with children to relax. All the staff were cheerful and friendly, with wonderful smiles. As I arrived late, I couldn't enjoy hot spring hopping or explore the nea

The kids had fun making cotton candy at the kids' menu corner and enjoyed bottled drinks like cola, ginger ale, soda, and tonic water. After a bath, we visited the lounge again at 9 PM where beer and sparkling wine were replaced with whiskey, brandy, shochu, sake—offering a ric

The Room was spacious and had air conditioning and a TV, the toilet had a bidet, there was a sulfur Onsen, and we could also enjoy an Onsen tour at the sister properties. There is also a retro Onsen town nearby with a wonderful atmosphere. The female staff member at the front des

We stayed here for a family trip. The staff were very thoughtful, we enjoyed visiting the different hot springs, and the meals were so luxurious we couldn’t finish them all. We will definitely stay again.

This time, I used this accommodation for the first time. As a result, I had a comfortable stay for one night. The bath was particularly impressive. Despite its compact size, the design allowed me to fully enjoy the quality of the hot spring water. I will consider this place

Convenience stores and supermarkets are a bit far away. The complimentary drinks included not only coffee but also non-alcoholic options and sake, which was great. The staff were also responsive and pleasant.

I’m glad I could enjoy visiting different baths. Since it’s a natural Onsen, I’d like to go again. The cherry blossoms nearby were beautiful too. Spring is highly recommended.

With few days off in my usual routine, I booked this Accommodation at short notice because I wanted to relax in an Onsen for the first time in a while, and it turned out to be excellent value for money. The whole place has a strong Showa-era vibe, which felt pleasantly nostalgic to someone born in that era. They prepared a private dining room for us, and our family enjoyed a delicious meal together—both the quality and quantity were more than enough. We were also very satisfied with all the baths: the open-air bath attached to our Room, the large public bath, the outdoor Onsen bath, and even the private bath with karaoke. We could truly unwind. If I visit the Nagano area again, I’d like to stay here again.

Stayed for 5 days. The front desk staff provided excellent service. While the building and facilities are admittedly old, and there was a noticeable odor upon entering the room, the outstanding hospitality of the staff more than made up for it.
