Thank you for the wonderful service—it made our stay truly exceptional. First, I accidentally made a Reservation with the wrong gender, but you quickly brought us yukata in different sizes, which was very helpful. With fewer guests staying, the attentive, personalized service really stood out. We also enjoyed the complimentary pudding—it was delicious. The Onsen was available at night as well, so we could relax and take our time. The bed felt a bit firm and slightly uncomfortable to sleep on, but other than that we had no complaints at all. Also, it was pouring rain at checkout, and you kindly handed us towels—this helped us so much. We truly appreciated your thoughtful attention to detail. We would love to stay here again when we visit Kusatsu.

The cuisine was outstanding. Each dish conveyed the chef’s heartfelt hospitality and was truly exquisite. Local ingredients were crafted into wonderful flavors. A taste that even supports the local community—I ended up buying local products at roadside stations on the way home. The Onsen was also excellent, and I could faintly see stars from the open-air bath in my Room. The view from the Room, comparable to a panoramic route, was also great. The cats were adorable too.

This was an Accommodation I’d wanted to visit for a long time. I was hoping for the riverside bath and a starry sky, but due to the river running high and cloudy weather, it didn’t happen. Still, the Accommodation was wonderful, so I was completely satisfied. At check-in, we were served delicious homemade sweets: hanamame beans with shiratama in kinako and kuromitsu. The proprietress and staff were very pleasant, and the hot spring bath—fed directly from the source—overflowed generously and felt amazing. The meals were beautifully presented using local ingredients, and we were happily full. The Room was clean and relaxing, with the sound of the river (it was quite loud this time because of the high water, but I’m sure it’s usually soothing). It was also lovely to see small wildflowers displayed throughout. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again and again. We will definitely return.

Only 10 Rooms on a spacious property. The grove garden right in front of you is a private view (guests cannot enter), giving you the true feel of a vacation home. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, the semi-open-air bath in the Room, the open-air bath at the large public bath, and dinner featuring an array of premium ingredients considered luxurious in Japanese cuisine, as well as breakfast with just the right portion size. If we had to make one small request, it would be that the bath towels were a bit thicker.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. In addition to the Onsen, we were soothed by two different types of baths. During the day, we enjoyed soba in Tsumagoi Highlands and made the most of our trip from Shiga Highlands to Yamba Dam. The proprietress kindly shared tips on how to enjoy Yubatake and suggested nearby scenic drives, which helped us have a truly fulfilling holiday. We also thoroughly enjoyed the TsuruTaro Art Museum on site. Everything was perfect, and we were completely satisfied.

We stayed for one night during the Obon holidays with my daughter’s family. My son-in-law was visiting Kusatsu Onsen for the first time, and he really enjoyed the delicious meals and the yumomi experience at the Ryokan. All of the staff were kind, and even our 9-month-old grandchild was able to enjoy it, making it a wonderful trip. We would like to stay at Sakurai Ryokan again.

We stayed for one night and two days with our grandchild. As mentioned in other reviews, the building and rooms are indeed a bit old, but everything was properly cleaned and we had no issues. With the all-you-can-play passport, we enjoyed bowling, the pool, craft-making, festival-style games, quizzes, a stamp rally, and more—plenty to keep us entertained. The free shuttle bus from the hotel to Yubatake at night was extremely helpful; it was my first time seeing the Yubatake illuminations, and I was surprised by how many tourists were there. Even though it was summer, walking around Yubatake felt pleasantly cool—almost a little chilly—which was wonderful. The next day we used the hotel shuttle again because I wanted my grandchild to enjoy street food and try the yumomi experience as well. We had only ever visited Kusatsu in winter before, so this was our first summer visit. While news reports talked about extreme heat in Tokyo, we were amazed at how cool and comfortable Kusatsu was in summer. At night we didn’t need air conditioning in our room—it actually felt slightly chilly. Summer in Kusatsu is great. The food was delicious, and everyone at the front desk, reception counters, and shop—especially the international staff—was very polite and pleasant. Every staff member provided excellent service; I was truly impressed. This hotel is highly recommended for families with children as well. We would love to visit again. The only downside is that the hotel is so large that it’s easy to get lost—especially when trying to find the baths (as other reviews mentioned), and yes, we got lost too. Overall though it was a wonderful hotel. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a guest Room with a sauna. The sauna, open-air bath, cold-water bath, and the Room were all spotless down to every detail, and we had an amazing time. Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, and we were very satisfied with both the variety and the taste—everything was delicious. The staff’s service was also excellent. We look forward to staying again next time.

I had a very comfortable stay! There may have been a small issue with the cleaning, but the room and the entire hotel were clean. I was very satisfied with the meals as well. I thought it might be nice to use even more local ingredients from Nagano, which I love. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay here with my son’s family of five. The room was very spacious with high ceilings, so the grandchildren were thrilled and ran around happily. The small space on the second floor had a clear view of Mt. Asama right in front of us, and it was truly relaxing to enjoy a drink while playing my favorite Western music. My grandchildren can be quite sensitive, so we choose places to stay very carefully, but this time they liked it so much they asked me, “When are we coming again?” I’d love to return again soon. The staff were kind and efficient in preparing everything for us; everything was attentive and made us feel very comfortable. It really was a wonderful night. Thank you very much.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights)! With the Gourmet Plan, we enjoyed char (iwana) and tempura, and added Joshu beef steak and kamameshi as optional dishes. The meals made with local ingredients were generous in portion size, and we were very satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. We were also able to use the gymnasium, played a lot with our child, and enjoyed the natural Onsen—it was like a dream, two truly special days. All of the staff were wonderful as well. We would love to stay again.

To all the staff at Karuizawa Club Hotel 1130, thank you as always for your kind support. My family has stayed here many times over the past few years, and this time we were finally able to make a Reservation for the Premium Family Suite Room we had long hoped for, so we stayed yesterday. As its name suggests, it was the highest-grade Room among the many Rooms at Karuizawa Hotel 1130. There was an open-air jacuzzi bath on the balcony, and two indoor baths inside as well. There were also two restrooms, and four separate rooms in total—one of them a bedroom with a skylight that lets you gaze up at the sky. Because every space was so luxurious, my whole family was thrilled the moment we stepped into each room. We had reserved Japanese kaiseki at Yamaboshi well in advance, but it was changed to a buffet Plan. Just like in Hewitt Resort’s TV commercial, the buffet venue was beautiful and the selection was extensive. From the live kitchen at dinner to freshly made rice balls at breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were all courteous and kind, which helped us greatly. We also visited the open-air bath at Onioshi Onsen; it had been renovated and made it easier to access directly from the indoor bath area. We will be staying one more night later this month as well, and we are looking forward to enjoying the same Premium Family Suite Room again. Each time we stay, this wonderful Hotel continues to evolve even further—and it has become our family’s favorite. I hope other guests can experience that same sense of excitement too. The sashimi set dinner featured local vegetables, and the sashimi was very fresh and delicious. The other dishes were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. The staff were kind, courteous, and attentive, making this a wonderful Accommodation. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful!! Breakfast—both Japanese and Western—offered a great variety of Gunma ingredients, and everything was delicious. I was especially impressed by the omelet made in the open kitchen; they customized the seasoning and sauce to my liking. Of course, it tasted great! Unfortunately, we weren’t blessed with good weather. The fog was so thick that we couldn’t enjoy the view from the Room or from the open-air bath, and I wasn’t able to see Mt. Asama or the surrounding mountain range I had been looking forward to—which was very disappointing. Perhaps because of the bad weather, there was a cute little teru-teru bozu placed in our Room, which really warmed my heart. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Here are a few things I noticed: It would have been nice if shower caps and hairbrushes were provided in the bathroom. I had breakfast by the window overlooking the golf course, but I noticed a spider web near the top of the window area. (There were quite a few on the outside as well.)

This was my first time staying at this Hotel. The front desk staff were wonderful, and the food was delicious—I was very satisfied. Just one thing: coffee was provided in the morning, but it was a coffee drink rather than brewed coffee, which was a little disappointing. Still, considering everything overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money. Thank you very much.

We came back for another stay. Above all, the home-cooked meals prepared by the hostess are truly delicious! The vegetables from their home garden, the rice, and each ingredient has its own story—you can really feel the care and attention to detail. Both the hosts and their welcoming dogs made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday trip. Surrounded by nature in a quiet setting, we were able to step away from everyday life and spend a truly wonderful time. The room was very clean, and the Facility and amenities were well equipped, so we stayed comfortably without any inconvenience throughout our stay. The size was just right, and it felt like a very cozy space for two adults. The sauna is electric, so even someone like me who isn’t used to wood-fired saunas could enjoy it easily—and it still felt authentic, which was more than satisfying. Before our stay, they also shared helpful information such as the destination (Google Maps), what to bring, and recommended nearby places, which we really appreciated. Next time, we’d love to stay for multiple nights!

I stayed with my senior dog who requires nursing care. Everyone was very kind, and I think they arranged a Room for us in the most convenient location with easy access. The place was clean, and the surrounding environment was great. I’d love to come again. Thank you very much. We were able to fully enjoy Karuizawa. The Room lighting might be a little dim. Also, it was convenient that we could do laundry and use the dryer.

I was worried because the reviews weren’t very good, but nothing really bothered me. In any case, it was inexpensive, the Room was spacious, and being surrounded by nature with fresh air was very refreshing. Since it was No Meals Included, we didn’t do a barbecue or anything like that, but there were lots of dogs and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Above all, the kids enjoyed it, so we were very satisfied.

I assumed it would be just an Accommodation at a golf course and didn’t expect much, but it was unbelievably wonderful. The Facility—especially the Room—was cleaned more thoroughly than city Hotels, and the French cuisine in this Plan was of such a high standard that it felt like being in central Tokyo. As expected from the restaurant of a prestigious country club, and since discerning guests stay at this Accommodation, there’s clearly no cutting corners. Next time, I definitely want to stay again and play golf as well. Thank you so much to all the staff. We were extremely satisfied. My daughter’s wedding also went smoothly. Thank you very much.
