This was my third stay. Each time, I have stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with an open-air bath. The spacious in-room open-air bath is large enough for four people, and you can enjoy the golden hot spring water. There is also a shower room, and I feel the price is very reasonable. The service was courteous, and the front desk staff at check-in were especially friendly, with a bright smile that left a great impression. Also, the restaurant staff member from overseas spoke excellent Japanese and carefully cleared empty dishes without making noise. I have stayed at about four Itoen Hotels, but this Grand Hotel is my favorite. I will make another Reservation.

From the check-in staff to the Room attendant, futon-making staff, breakfast staff, and Shuttle Service staff, everyone was very pleasant and made our stay comfortable. I was surprised by the in-room dining first—so many dishes served on a large tray. It was a bit disappointing that we had to choose the same drink (wine or a soft drink) as my companion (I wanted wine), but everything was delicious. We also enjoyed relaxing in the private bath. Breakfast offered a wide variety of items, and I was especially impressed by how delicious the miso soup was. The Gunma-chan miso soup bath was also adorable. They even recommended Green Farm for us, which really helped. It turned into a very fulfilling trip. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for a friend’s birthday. The food was delicious, and the place was spacious and wonderful! Above all, the Onsen had a great variety, was clean, and helped me feel refreshed! However, it was a bit disappointing to find some hair in the Room and one of the lights wasn’t working. Other than that, I had a really great stay! Thank you very much! Next time I come back, I’d like to stay in a larger Room!

While looking for a place on short notice for sightseeing in Ikaho Onsen, I chose this Accommodation because I wanted somewhere that wasn’t a large Hotel or Ryokan. Since the price was reasonable, I didn’t have high expectations, but the welcome on arrival and the atmosphere in the lobby were lovely, and I’m glad I stayed. Although the staff’s service was a bit inexperienced, everyone worked very hard—people you can’t help but want to cheer for. It was also nice to be able to choose a yukata pattern. The mountain views from the Room were wonderful. The Onsen was practically private every time, so I could relax at my own pace. Dinner was served in a private room; each dish had thoughtful presentation that was enjoyable to look at, and everything tasted great. After bathing, I bought ice cream at the shop—the strawberry flavor was especially delicious. The maitake mushrooms at breakfast were amazing as well. If I have another chance to visit Ikaho, I definitely want to stay here again.

It was my first time staying here! The front desk staff were very welcoming at check-in, and although the Room felt a bit old, it was spacious and comfortable! I used the large public bath and the private bath—both were excellent! I was also satisfied with the meals! I’d love to come again.

The staff were very kind, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The Room was very clean and well maintained.

It was very good for visiting Onsen areas!! The price was also very good!!

This was our first family trip since our younger child was born. The room was more spacious than we expected, which was great. We chose in-room dining so we could eat at a relaxed pace, and the meal was incredibly luxurious—we were amazed! The portions were very generous, and for this price, we would love to stay again. One disappointing point: when we tried to use the kettle to prepare formula for our baby, there was water left inside and the lid was wet. It felt like the cleaning had not been thorough enough.

The manager was cheerful, and the staff were pleasant and refreshing. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, and the furnishings in the large hall were of very high quality. For some reason, only the scale showed double my actual weight. Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you next time.

The Room atmosphere and views, as well as the free-flowing open-air bath, were excellent. The service and meals were also very good. The only downside was that the floor futon was firm and had seams, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. I think it would be even better with some improvement.

I headed there by motorcycle this time, but it unexpectedly broke down and I couldn’t make it… If I get another chance, I’d like to stay there. If I had to mention one thing, the staff weren’t rude or careless, but when I was arranging the cancellation around 8:00 PM, the person I spoke with used fairly broken Japanese. It would be helpful if that could be improved.

I stayed here when I visited Ikaho Onsen with my wife and her parents. We used two Rooms, with two guests in each. The building felt a bit old, but both Rooms were well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. The meals were very delicious, and the portions were just right. The baths were also very clean. There is a private bath as well, but since we checked in early, we had the large public bath all to ourselves. My parents-in-law were very pleased, and we would like to stay again.

I stayed for 2 days. The front desk staff was a foreign national, and we had some difficulty communicating in Japanese. Even on a Multiple Night Stay, housekeeping came every day, so the Room was kept clean and I was satisfied. There is a Belc supermarket and a convenience store nearby, which made shopping easy. I would like to stay here again.

We stayed to celebrate a birthday. It was raining outside, so the indoor play area in the Hotel was a huge help. We arrived at 2:00 p.m., and since we could use the play area before check-in, the kids were thrilled. Since we booked two Rooms, we were able to enjoy each Room as well. The Frozen-themed Room in particular had a swing and a slide, so they played without getting bored. The BBQ ingredients were high quality and delicious. However, there was only sauce, so it would be nice to have salt as well. Also, we ran out of rice, and it took a while for additional rice to be brought out, which was inconvenient. The kids could keep playing in the play area until around 10:00 p.m., and they seemed happy that they could do what they wanted without being scolded like usual.

We stayed for one night before Obon as a trip to celebrate my mother-in-law's 88th birthday. Although it is a bit away from the stone-paved street, it was a quiet and charming accommodation. The staff were friendly and kind with warm smiles! The room was spacious, and the meals were delicious. The attentive service by the dining staff was very much appreciated. The bath included an indoor open-air option, and there were various hair dryers from different brands available to try out, which was great! Near the front desk, there were board games that everyone could enjoy together. I would love to visit again if I have the chance!

I stayed on a weekday. There was no wait at reception, and I was able to go to my Room smoothly. The Room is old, but it was properly cleaned and tidy. Amenities in each Room were limited to a toothbrush, towels, and a yukata, but there seemed to be more available in the Onsen changing room. Wi-Fi works, but when I ran a speed test the download speed was around 8 Mbps. Since it was about this fast on a quiet day, I wouldn’t expect much on busy days. For dinner, I chose the charcoal-grilled seafood set. It included crab, scallops, salmon, squid, vegetables, and also sashimi. Since there was udon included I didn’t ask for it, but it seems rice is provided as well. You can also order additional dishes or sake tasting sets for an extra charge. The Onsen felt like it was privately reserved just for me. It’s a great Onsen, and being able to use one of that size alone might actually be a rare opportunity. I think I saw other Reviews mentioning cold shower water; if it’s nearly private-use only, the pipes may have cooled down due to low usage. For about one minute only cold water came out, but after that it worked normally. The sauna did not seem to be available due to COVID-19 prevention measures. Overall, considering the Accommodation Fee level (value for money), this Hotel offers high satisfaction with dinner, breakfast (included), and the Onsen—great cost performance/value for money overall. The Facilities are somewhat dated throughout which is slightly noticeable; aside from that point my satisfaction level was high.

This was my first time staying at Ooedo Onsen Monogatari. It’s conveniently located right in front of the final bus stop. The facilities have been beautifully renovated and were very comfortable. All the staff were kind, and I truly felt at home. The food was delicious, and perhaps because it’s a small property with only 40 rooms, the large public bath wasn’t too crowded, so I could relax and soak at ease. Excellent value for money—I was completely satisfied overall. Even after the relaxed 11:00 check-out, they kindly allowed me to use the lounge until my bus departure time. Thank you very much. Whenever I visit Ikaho, I will definitely stay here again.
