I stayed with my elderly parents and my wife (four of us). The food was excellent in both taste and portion size, and we were very satisfied. The private bath was also great.

In an atmosphere that still retains a Showa-era feel, I didn’t have high expectations, but it was wonderful for this price.\nThey even carried our luggage, and the meals and service were excellent. When I said I didn’t need dessert, they kindly asked if I’d like to eat it in my Room. All the staff were very pleasant. The Room was spacious and clean.\nThe food was delicious as well. The breakfast in particular, with its wide variety of options, was outstanding. I’d love to stay again just to have that breakfast rice porridge.

The large public bath includes an open-air bath, with clear, silky-smooth water. There are plenty of washing stations. The open-air bath allows you to lie back, and on rainy days it was pleasantly cool and refreshing. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes including grilled fish; even taking small portions, there was more than enough to finish, and everything was delicious.

Whenever I’m worn out from work and need to unwind, I always come here. This time again, I got a little too eager and arrived early, but they told me the Room was ready, so it was fine, and they let me check in early. Upgrading the meal plan this time was the right choice. Everything was delicious. I felt refreshed and regained my energy. I’ll visit again when I’m tired.

Our stay coincided with a typhoon, and the roads were flooded, so it was very difficult to get there, but the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel at ease. The female receptionist greeted us with a wonderful smile, and all the other staff were also very kind, so we had a comfortable stay. It was a bit inconvenient that the toilets could not be used due to the heavy rain, but it was understandable. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! The in-room open-air bath was also very relaxing. I’d love to come back on a sunny day and enjoy a leisurely stay again!

We coordinated our sons’ schedules after a busy summer and made a Reservation here because it’s pet-friendly and offers a pool, sauna, and BBQ. We requested BBQ for two days, and they kindly adjusted the selection of meat and seafood, and even changed the vegetables for both the BBQ and breakfast on the second day—such thoughtful attention was truly appreciated. There were plenty of vegetables provided, along with helpful seasonings you’re glad to have on hand, so we had a very comfortable stay. Because our stay was so pleasant, we immediately made another Reservation for year-end! Thank you very much for all your help. We look forward to staying again.

I stayed here on my motorcycle, and it rained that day, so I wasn’t sure where to park it. They kindly let me store it in the warehouse, which was a huge help. Thank you. It would have been perfect if the Facility had a coin laundry! If I’m in the area again, I’d love to stay here again.

We stayed over the Obon weekend. First of all, the Room was very clean, and the interior was cute and lovely. In the lobby, there was freshly ground coffee, card games, and a telescope, so we were able to enjoy ourselves. For dinner, a BBQ expert taught us how to cook everything deliciously, so even beginners could have a fun and tasty time! I think the portions were just right. The all-you-can-drink option is self-serve from a cooler box with beer, tea, and more. Basically, the only cutlery provided is disposable chopsticks. After lights-out it gets pitch-dark outside, so the starry sky at night was beautiful. For breakfast we were given ingredients for hot sandwiches and made them ourselves, so you do need to wake up early enough to prepare them properly. It made me want to make hot sandwiches at home too. The staff were also very kind. After checkout it was raining heavily, so they let us wait in the lobby for a while. I’d love to visit again in a different season!

I am a company owner and stay at accommodations in the Kanto area for business twice a month. Over the past 18 years, I have stayed at more than 300 accommodations. I started using this accommodation on November 17, 2025 (Reiwa 7). This is the fourth accommodation I've stayed at in Shirako Onsen, and for me, it was "the best." The quality of the onsen water and the atmosphere of the open-air bath were perfect for me. The meals were also outstanding—the variety of dishes was excellent, and I was deeply moved when they brought out a rice cooker so we could enjoy unlimited servings of freshly cooked rice. Their thoughtfulness truly touched my heart. I believe this is likely a family-run hotel; everyone was kind-hearted and gentle, which made my stay very comforting. However, aren't some reviews too harsh? To those who gave low ratings to this hotel—do you even understand their accommodation fee? Personally, I found this hotel to be excellent and will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality!

The room was clean and spacious, providing enough space even for a large group. The massage service was available, and I used it—it was excellent. Our dog was thrilled to run around on the artificial turf. Even our pet, who usually stays still in unclean places, seemed relaxed and comfortable, which gave us peace of mind. The villa manager was kind and accommodating, allowing both us and our dog to enjoy a pleasant stay throughout. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance!

We stayed with six family members and one dog. It was a very cold, rainy day for early September. We were looking forward to the private pool, and we chose this Accommodation because it said the pool was heated, so we felt reassured even if it rained or got cold. However, we were told the water wouldn’t be heated until October(?), which was really disappointing… (Was that written somewhere?) Still, since there was also a sauna and a jet bath, we went in anyway. My son’s wives were freezing, but my sons actually enjoyed the cold in their own way—though we couldn’t stay in for long… Because the neighbors are close by, you need to be quite considerate when having a BBQ or playing outside. Other than that, we were mostly satisfied. There were both pool towels and bath towels provided, plus a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, so everything was dry by morning. That made things easy even after returning home. There are also two toilets indoors, which is reassuring. However, when you’re at the jet bath or pool area there’s only an indoor toilet available, so you have to rush back inside (and dry off first). I recommend going to the toilet ahead of time. There are three bedrooms—plenty of space for six people. Overall, we made fun memories here.

I stayed here with my parents this time. Room & Amenities → Everything was neatly kept, and the futon was fluffy and very comfortable. There was also an extension cord in the Room, which was convenient. As for amenities, there were just what we needed, so we didn’t feel any inconvenience. Hospitality & Service → The explanations were easy to understand, and they also let us know when dinner preparations were ready. They kindly guided us to the dining area as well, and I felt the service was very attentive. Facility & Equipment → I think everything was kept very clean. The garden could be seen clearly through the glass, and overall it felt very clean and well maintained. I also loved the retro atmosphere—it was irresistible. Personally, I thought it would be nice to have an alcohol vending machine, or a few more snack options in the shop. However, I really appreciated that alcohol could be delivered to our Room by contacting the front desk until 10:00 PM. The Onsen was great too—my skin felt so smooth! Meals → Delicious! Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. The seafood was fresh, and you could really taste the quality of each ingredient. Dinner paired perfectly with drinks, and breakfast made me want to keep eating rice. We were very satisfied with the hospitality, Onsen, and meals. Since it’s close by, I’d like to stay again.

The pool was absolutely satisfying, with float rings provided, which was a thoughtful touch for those who can't swim—something not often seen in other villas. The sauna had the perfect temperature, allowing us to sweat and feel refreshed. The pet-friendly Room was wonderful, and they even gifted us a blanket! The restroom smelled amazing; I even wanted to know what they used so I could use it at home. We stayed here for a birthday celebration and had an incredible time thanks to this place. Thank you so much! We look forward to staying here again in the future. Also, we loved the design of the sofa and speakers—the designer has excellent taste! Highly recommended for everyone!

This was my third BUB location after Yatsugatake and Tsukuba, and at every site the crew are energetic and upbeat—it’s always overwhelming in a good way. Also, there’s no time to pack or change clothes; activities run nonstop. The kids stay totally engaged and never get bored. The cottages cost more, but I recommend them. With tents, you have to go outside to use the toilet at night even in heavy rain or strong winds, so it looked tough for the tent guests. Note that pajamas and a body wash towel were not provided, so please be aware of this. I recommend bringing a change of clothes, swimwear, and rain boots. The meals were just right—not too many options and not too few—and it was nice to have local Chiba items like clams, peanuts, and pear wine as well. I heard BUB will be opening a new location in Minakami (Gunma), so I’d like to visit next time.

I may have different standards as a former backpacker, but the tatami was clean, and the meals were hearty home-style cooking that left me completely full. The rural atmosphere of Ichinomiya was very relaxing. The large public bath had a big tub, so I could stretch out and enjoy it—great overall. I think the owner is of Korean descent. There is no one at the front desk—go look for someone! The Accommodation itself, including the lobby, is quite old. The Room has been renovated while keeping a nice Showa-era vibe, so if you’re not looking for perfection, I don’t think it will be an issue. There is no tea set in the Room. No amenities either—bring your own. In front of the public bath, there are various towels that have been washed and folded, free to use. I was glad they didn’t smell like fabric softener. If you expect Hotel or Ryokan-style service, you might get frustrated. But I actually enjoyed how “what’s normal” isn’t necessarily normal here—it felt like traveling in Asia in a refreshing way. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you for taking care of me!
