We stayed here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. As soon as we drove up to the entrance, the staff—already waiting—welcomed us with amazingly smooth, attentive service. I was nervous in an unfamiliar place, but before I knew it I was in the lobby with Bach playing softly, looking out at the sea and enjoying a chilled glass of champagne, my excitement building. The space was spotless and warmly appointed, and the selection of sweets, drinks, and amenities showed impeccable taste. The toothbrush was the most comfortable I’ve ever used. Above all, the bath was outstanding. With the window open, listening to birdsong and gazing at the ocean—and because it’s free-flowing—I even tried skipping a rinse-off and body cream afterward, yet my skin stayed moisturized without drying out! At dusk, the view from the lounge was beautiful. The British ginger lemonade was delicious, and we’re especially grateful to the elegant and attentive female staff member who made the lounge so wonderfully comfortable—thank you as well for preparing an orange liqueur for us at the end. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent; not only did everything taste wonderful, but the ingredients and presentation were beautiful too. That said, I couldn’t stop eating bread and butter and ended up too full by the time we reached the main course! Even so, it was cooked perfectly and tasted superb—I finished it all. Next time I’ll pace myself so I can fully enjoy everything through to the main dish. The young service staff were also highly professional and impressive. Even without mentioning that it was an anniversary—and even as first-time guests simply dropping by—we received consistently thoughtful hospitality throughout. Thank you very much.

It was a relief to see the people who had taken care of me before. Set on a quiet hill with great views, the staff were all cheerful and courteous, the Room was clean, the Onsen was relaxing, and the full-course meal was delicious—more than enough to be fully satisfied. Unfortunately it was raining when I left, but at checkout they lent me an umbrella and told me to take it home, which really helped. This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The ocean was right in front of us—what a wonderful view!! The staff were all smiles and the service was excellent!! We were very satisfied with the delicious meals while enjoying the scenery. It was also great to relax on the terrace. Above all, we had been looking forward to watching the sunrise from the open-air bath in our room, and we were truly moved to see the sun rise directly over the horizon of the sea right in front of us. We had a wonderfully relaxing time. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again.

The View from Seina Dining on the Water Balcony Umikoro—truly one of a kind. This time, due to light rain, we couldn’t see the sea at its best, but it was such a wonderful stay that we forgot all about it. Blessed with beautiful weather, we had a wonderful stay in an elegant sukiya-style setting. The welcome drink—Alain Milliat juice—was so delicious that we couldn’t resist having a second glass. The hotel’s signature lemon cake was also excellent, and we bought one as a souvenir. From both the room and the dining area, we enjoyed expansive ocean views stretching out to Hatsushima and Izu Oshima, creating a wonderfully open atmosphere. Dining while taking in such magnificent scenery was truly exceptional. My husband enjoyed the wine pairing, and thanks to the staff kindly adjusting my course portions to be smaller, I was able to savor every dish through to the end. They also packed the final dessert for takeaway in an adorable box, which was a thoughtful touch. The bath in our room felt like an open-air bath when we opened the window; with perfect weather, it was incredibly relaxing. With stunning views, delicious cuisine, and attentive hospitality throughout, it was a memorable stay that left us feeling refreshed. We would love to visit again.

Facilities & Surroundings There are very few shared Facilities, and the overall layout is compact. There isn’t much to do within walking distance nearby, so it felt difficult to go out without a car. Room The Room isn’t especially spacious, but it has the basic essentials. It feels more like a vacation home than a Hotel, with a noticeable “home-like” atmosphere for better or worse. Some details also feel cost-conscious in design, which may come down to personal preference. Onsen There is only an open-air bath, but it was enough to enjoy during the stay. Service Rather than the polished service you might expect from typical Hotel staff, the operation felt relatively casual. If you’re expecting luxury-Hotel-level professionalism and hospitality, it may feel different from what you imagine. Dining The cuisine is French-inspired and makes good use of local ingredients; overall, everything was delicious. That said, in the latter courses it felt less about premium ingredients themselves and more about creatively finishing dishes with comparatively lower-cost items. Considering the restaurant on its own, my satisfaction level felt around JPY 20,000 per person. Overall Review While the dining was excellent, considering this as “staying as an overnight guest,” I felt the price was somewhat high when factoring in the Room and overall Facilities. On the other hand, if viewed more like usage rights or a membership-style Accommodation rather than a standard Hotel stay, your perspective may differ. Overall, this seems better suited for those who want to enjoy quiet surroundings along with dining and an Onsen experience than for those seeking a distinctly luxurious getaway or highly attentive service.
