There are five private open-air baths, all with ocean views. For this price, the convenient location near the station, private open-air baths, and two meals served in your Room offer excellent value for money.

Stayed overnight with friends and had a very comfortable time. Everything we needed was provided, so we didn’t lack anything. The Room had a great ocean view, which was amazing. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach, and you can also walk from Atami Station. The Onsen and the meals were both excellent!

I recently stayed here on a solo trip. The Room had large windows that created an open, airy feel, and the view was wonderful. I was able to relax in the Onsen and the private hot stone sauna. The welcome drinks available until 17:00 were also excellent. The meals were great as well, and I really enjoyed the local ingredients. However, one small thing—since the food was so delicious, it was a bit disappointing to have to eat with disposable chopsticks. The staff were kind and it was great value for money, so I’d love to stay again if I have the chance!

Wanting a break from work and everyday chores, I searched for an Onsen Accommodation where I could truly relax even on my own, and that’s how I found Yugawara Fuga. I made a Reservation for the Shuttle Service from the station. The driver was very kind, and we chatted a little—it was really enjoyable. After arriving, check-in was smooth because I had completed smart check-in in advance. You can choose your favorite yukata, then enjoy tea in the café lounge with cake and sweets served in a mug you like. There were plenty of books as well, and being able to relax while looking out at the garden felt wonderfully luxurious. The Room was more than spacious enough for one person—a Japanese-style room with a nostalgic feel. There were no small children among the guests, and since there is no TV in the Room, it was quiet and easy to simply unwind. Everything was very clean; the sink area was spacious, and the lighted mirror made it convenient to use. The futon is self-service—I prefer laying it out when I want, so it didn’t bother me at all. If you’d rather not set up your own bedding, I recommend choosing a room with beds. There is a cypress bath in the Room, but I liked the open-air bath and large public bath so much that I ended up using those several times—and never used the in-room bath after all. For dinner I chose the light course; it was still plenty of food and left me full. It was also nice that dessert and tea were included. Since it was during peak busy hours, there were moments when we waited a bit between dishes, but it didn’t bother me. The dining staff stayed efficient while still taking care to explain each dish and serve attentively—their dedication came through, which made waiting easy. I also felt their teamwork was excellent. As a solo traveler, they thoughtfully considered my table placement in the restaurant as well. The appetizers were things I don’t usually get to try, and dishes like ochazuke made with mussel broth were unique and delicious. Breakfast was Japanese-style breakfast. The soy sauce I made myself at the café lounge the day before tasted great over an Onsen egg (soft-boiled egg), and it went perfectly with fifteen-grain rice—I couldn’t stop eating. The pork miso soup made with Izu miso paste plus pickled plum (umeboshi) was unusual in a good way. There was also plenty of rice served in an ohitsu pot—more than enough—so even those with bigger appetites would be satisfied. I did nothing but soak slowly in the Onsen baths, enjoy delicious meals, and spend quiet time—overall extremely satisfying. Everyone at Hotel/Accommodation (staff) was kind and courteous. If I had to mention one drawback: there are quite a lot of steps/stairs throughout the building, and despite checking maps/signage first time around felt like navigating something of a maze on my way to large public bath area (I got lost initially). Still: I'd love return again treat myself once more!

The food quality was exceptionally high, and it made for a very satisfying stay. Compared with other Hotels in Atami Onsen or buffet dining in Kinugawa Onsen, the overall selection is more modest, but signature dishes like steak and crab are well covered, so you never get tired of it. The welcome service from 3:00 PM (alcohol, oden, Onsen manju, etc.) was also delicious. Breakfast stood out as well—the nikujaga and the freshness of the toppings for the DIY seafood bowl were excellent, and I ended up going back for seconds. Although the staff were from overseas, they were friendly and spoke Japanese well; it actually added a nice touch that helped me forget daily life and truly refresh. The building does feel a bit dated, but the Room and hallways are kept very clean. In particular, I’d give five stars to the fact that each Room has its own air conditioning (new units and outdoor compressors have been installed), so I could stay comfortable without being affected by seasonal centralized switching. Because the large public Onsen bath was under renovation, we had to use private baths or facilities at a sister Hotel—and there was no sauna—which was slightly disappointing (more like 2–3 stars). However, this was more than made up for by the excellent ingredients and the stunning ocean view. A great Hotel for fully enjoying a solo trip.

This was my first stay, and since the Accommodation is on a hill, the views were wonderful. The large public bath was spacious enough to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. I was also happy that each guest was provided with two thick face towels and two thick bath towels. I only had breakfast, but there was a good variety and it was delicious. The Shuttle Service bus schedule and the fact that no Reservation was required made it very convenient overall. Considering the value for money, this is an excellent Accommodation that I would like to visit again.

We stayed just after the Golden Week holidays. With a private open-air bath in the Room, it was by far the most affordable Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at! The location is right in front of the ocean, and the view from the rooftop is amazing. Even though it’s a business hotel, the amenities were excellent, and the hot spring bath was free-flowing from the source—everything was great. It was May, but it was very hot, and we were able to use the rooftop pool too, so I wish I had brought a swimsuit!

The complimentary drinks and soft-serve ice cream after check-in were a nice touch. There was also bread at breakfast, but it ran out quickly and wasn’t replenished afterward. There were no skincare items like toner, so be sure to bring your own! Great value with no unnecessary frills or extravagance, so I could relax without feeling self-conscious. The meals were pretty good as well. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

I had wanted to stay here for a long time. The Room was spacious and very clean, with a great view. The meals were delicious, and since the restaurant is large, even at the buffet there was no congestion when serving food, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. The Onsen was wonderful, the Shuttle Service was courteous, and all the staff were kind with excellent hospitality. It’s also great value for money, so we were very satisfied. We would like to make this our regular Accommodation in Atami. Thank you very much.

The welcome wine was delicious. Dinner was great—the main chicken dish was tasty, and I was full with the salad and other items; the dessert pudding was absolutely amazing. Breakfast also had a good selection including salads, and the bread was delicious. The bath facilities were very comfortable: I could use the hot stone sauna many times, and the indoor bath was at a perfect temperature for relaxing. The Room was small but functional and easy to use. All of the staff were kind and pleasant. I had a wonderful time.

We always arrive late, but thank you for kindly accommodating us. We truly appreciate the owner’s warm hospitality. We look forward to staying again.

It happened to be a day with few guests staying, so dinner was served in a single seating starting at 6:00 PM. I thought it might be crowded instead, but there were no issues and I enjoyed it. I was very satisfied with the creative Japanese set meal, and also with the buffet selection. Thank you.

Three colleagues and I stayed here. We were very satisfied with the variety of dishes at dinner and breakfast, the service, and the bath. Great value for money.

When I stay overnight, I’m usually at my most exhausted. The body-friendly meals and the Onsen help me Clear and feel renewed. It’s always the perfect retreat at a comfortable distance from central Tokyo. I’ll be back again when I’m completely worn out.

My spouse and I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with a No Meals Included plan. The building itself felt a bit dated in places, but the interior and our Room were well cleaned, so it felt fresh and comfortable throughout our stay. We chose a “discounted” Room that was priced lower than usual. We were told this was because it is on the first floor facing a toll road, but in reality we barely noticed any traffic noise and were able to relax in peace. In that sense, it exceeded our expectations in a good way. Another major highlight was having a Japanese-style tatami room. Being able to stretch out on the tatami, relax, or lie down was very comfortable, and it was impressive how we could unwind like at home even though it’s a Hotel. There was also a convenience store nearby, which made quick shopping easy. The beach is within walking distance as well, so the location is great for enjoying an easy seaside stroll. Overall, it was an excellent value-for-money stay and we were very satisfied.

Located near Yugawara’s Manyo Park, the Hotel is a comfortable size and it was enjoyable to walk around inside. Dinner was a course meal served at the table, and the staff were efficient, allowing us to relax. It was great to enjoy both the open-air bath for Hotel guests and the one for general visitors. The front desk staff were also very courteous.

Before I knew it, I’ve stayed here for a Multiple Night Stay in December, June, and September (lol). Within walking distance from Yugawara Station (Shuttle Service also available). There are also Rooms where smoking is allowed. I use this place casually when I just want to relax and refresh in the Onsen. About the 4-star rating: Regarding the amenity tabi socks, even on a Multiple Night Stay, receiving only one pair per person makes me think, “Huh?” the next day. It might be worth considering providing them for each night of a Multiple Night Stay, or clearly stating that it’s one pair per person. As for meals and the rice tubs (ohitsu), isn’t there food waste? Staff do serve the meals, but I think rice could be handled like tea—self-serve would be fine. This could likely be solved by investing in one or two rice cookers (10-cup capacity): cook with a gas cooker, transfer to warmers, and set them out. Then you could serve an ohitsu only to guests who request it.

It takes about a 20-minute walk from the station, but Atami Marine Spa, Atami Ginza, and the ferry terminal are within walking distance. The Room has a microwave and kettle, so it’s easy to buy food and eat in the Room. Free drinks were available from 5:00 PM, which was very helpful.

This is our annual summer family trip with three generations. We book two Rooms, and we truly appreciate that you arrange them next to each other. The baths are amazing—wonderful Onsen! The food is delicious with a wide variety of options, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. It’s an outstanding Hotel. My mother was left partially paralyzed after a cerebral hemorrhage and has limited mobility, so we wondered if this might be our last trip together—but this year again, our whole family was able to come. We hope my mother and father stay healthy so we can all return next year as well. This is the best Hotel for creating wonderful memories on our yearly family trips. Please take care of yourselves, and keep up the great work. I’ll be visiting with friends in October too, and I’m looking forward to coming back again. Thank you very much for everything this year as well.

The meals were delicious. Choosing abalone for dinner was the right decision. Breakfast was also great, with a wide variety of dishes. The front desk provided thorough explanations, and the dining staff responded quickly. It was also convenient that the bath, washbasin area, and toilet were separate. A small detail, but having three towels was a nice touch as well.
