This was our second stay with Mr. Isomura. The first time, we drank too much and couldn’t finish dinner, but this time we drank less and finished everything. It was very delicious, and the service was excellent. We would definitely like to stay again.

First, thank you for upgrading our Room thanks to the Hotel’s kindness. The view from the Room exceeded our expectations, and we were especially grateful for the view from the bath. I have tried braised shark fin in many places, but this was a large portion. The shark fin that filled my mouth was beyond what I expected. The explanations of each dish were also detailed and enjoyable, and they truly whetted our appetite. From check-in to check-out, we were guided by kind staff in a clean environment. My wife and I would love to visit again.

The Room is clean, compact yet functional. The large public bath is also great. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, and I ended up eating too much. It’s also convenient to have a convenience store right in front. If I had to mention one thing, the building is long horizontally, so it’s a bit of a walk to the Room.

I stayed here toward the end of Golden Week. Even though it was peak season, I couldn’t believe the price. I had been wanting to stay here, and since there is a free Shuttle Service from Sendai Station East Exit (very convenient and much appreciated), I decided to go. The Room was spacious and beautifully kept, and I could feel thoughtful attention to detail everywhere. The bath was also an Onsen, so it was very relaxing, and it was extremely clean. Dinner, which I had been looking forward to, was a stylish course meal—beautiful to look at and of course delicious. The abalone steak in particular was tender and excellent. The morning buffet featured plenty of seafood; the swordfish chashu was so good that I bought some as a souvenir. During the restroom stop on the return bus at Yamoto Roadside Station, I was happy to be able to take photos of the Blue Impulse aircraft on display. It was a very satisfying two days. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

This time I wanted to try fishing at Kesennuma Port, so I stayed at this Accommodation because it’s close to the fishing spots. It’s located on a hill right in front of the port, with a great view. From the main entrance you can overlook all of Kesennuma Port, and it was such a refreshing place. What’s more, thanks to the very unique elevator tower, it was super convenient—I could get to the fish market on ground level in just 2–3 minutes. The building itself feels a bit retro and has a Showa-era vibe, so it may not be for everyone, but I found it very comfortable. What really impressed me was the night view of Kesennuma Port—and the sea urchin and hoya! The scenery completely changes from daytime; with the illumination it felt almost like a theme park. I was truly moved. I also enjoyed night fishing while taking in the lights—please do see it in person if you can. And the dinner served this time—sea urchin on its shell and hoya sashimi—was incredible. The sea urchin I had before at a Hotel in Minamisanriku was delicious too, but Kesennuma’s sea urchin is no joke! It had rich sweetness and umami and tasted amazing. The hoya sashimi may have been the best I’ve ever had. The ocean aroma and perfectly firm texture were irresistible for anyone who loves hoya. All staff were polite and very pleasant. Some seemed new, but their sincerity came through, and it made me feel this is a well-run Hotel. I suppose there’s no helping that some Facility areas are a bit old, but even taking that into account, I’d definitely like to stay again.

I stayed for one night with breakfast at a reasonable price. I was surprised that the buffet breakfast had no tableware—only paper cups and disposable chopsticks, with no spoons or napkins. Without expecting much, I started with just rice, miso soup, natto, and pickled plum, and it was genuinely delicious. After trying the grilled fish, seasoned mushrooms (nameko), soft-boiled egg, and more, I found everything to be excellent—far better than expected. The chef clearly has great taste, so I wanted to share this feedback.

This was my first stay here. I was very satisfied with the Premium Room and the seafood beach barbecue. I would like to stay again.

Stayed one night in Kesennuma for a dinner gathering. Used the early booking No Meals Included plan. The staff at the Ryokan were kind and attentive, and both the facility and room were very clean, making for a pleasant stay. According to locals, the meals are also delicious. I would love to stay with meals included next time if I have the chance! Thank you for your hospitality!

We stayed on a Plan with breakfast included. When I think of a Hotel breakfast, it’s usually a buffet, but this time we enjoyed a Japanese-style breakfast. It was delicious and made us feel well cared for. If you avoid the busy hours, you can also relax and warm up in the bath. My mother especially liked Ambasa among the complimentary juices and drank quite a lot. There was also a good variety of tea and juice, which we enjoyed. (They are available for relatively long hours compared to other places.) We also appreciated services such as bicycle rentals, and felt the overall service was very well provided. Thanks to that, we were able to take our time resting while taking care of our errands. Thank you very much.

The hospitality was excellent, and they kindly accommodated our request to change the dish (the simmered fish), so we had a wonderful time. Since it was before the busy season, we were able to chat leisurely with the owner and the hostess, and on the way home my wife and I talked about coming back again. Thank you very much—please stay well.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cottage’s exterior illumination at night was beautiful. Inside the cottage, all the basic necessities were provided, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the stars this time due to the weather, but I hope we can next time we stay.

We stayed here as a couple during Golden Week. Above all, we were truly impressed by how wonderful the meals were. Luxurious ingredients you can only enjoy here—such as Kesennuma’s famous shark fin and shark—were served, and everything was delicious. We were moved by each and every dish. We’re originally from Shikoku and regularly enjoy fresh seafood, but the abalone sashimi and oysters in particular were exceptional—an unforgettable taste. The Accommodation was spotless throughout, and the garden was beautifully maintained, making our stay very comfortable. At breakfast, you kindly shared various stories about Oshima, and when we left, everyone waved to us until we were out of sight. Your warm hospitality left us feeling genuinely touched. This is a lovely Accommodation where you can truly relax, and it will stay with us for a long time. We took walks around the area in both the morning and evening, and found great comfort in the birdsong, the star-filled sky, the clear air, and the unhurried island pace of life. Within walking distance is Jūhachi Naruhama Beach (designated a Natural Monument), well worth a visit. (It’s a mysterious beach that makes a squeaking sound when you walk on it.) Our only regret is that we arrived just in time for check-in this trip and left early in the morning. Since we live far away we can’t visit often, but next time we would love to stay longer at a more relaxed pace. Thank you very much to everyone at the Accommodation!

The entire Accommodation was very clean and well maintained. The bath is small, but you can tell it is thoroughly cleaned. There is no toilet or bath in the Room, but it was so comfortable that I didn’t mind at all. I only had breakfast, but it was delicious and very filling. I regret not having dinner there as well. I almost felt bad for the hospitality—it was more than worth the price (lol). I’ve only been staying at Business Hotels lately, so an Accommodation like Sanyo felt especially warm and welcoming. I think I was able to refresh both body and mind. It’s my favorite Accommodation I’ve stayed at so far. I don’t often have a chance to visit Sanriku, but I’d love to come again.

They were extremely attentive in accommodating an irregular check-in process and even late-night entry. Not only was the staff’s hospitality consistently courteous, but the thoughtful selection of in-Room amenities and Facilities also left a great impression. Both the Room and the entire building were impeccably cleaned and truly spotless. The property is filled with charming Showa-era retro touches throughout, and the bath was very comfortable. They even invited me to a summer event, so I went ahead and made another repeat Reservation today. I travel all over the whole country, and for those who click with it, this Accommodation is an absolute must-recommend!

This was our first stay as a family of three. Dinner was very delicious. The Facility seems quite old, but it was well cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. We will use it again in two weeks.
