It was absolutely amazing! I thought it would be even more fun if I could speak English, but I still enjoyed myself—having cocoa on my own and relaxing!

During the autumn foliage season, I hurriedly searched for accommodation with a large public bath. Unexpectedly, I found one that met my requirements and was very pleased. I am satisfied with my stay. I used the large public bath once at night and three times in the morning. Since my second son attends Kyoto University, we visited him from Tokyo during his school festival. As his apartment only has a unit bath, we chose this accommodation so he could enjoy a spacious bath for a change. He was very satisfied with both the bath and breakfast, which made me happy as a parent.

We stayed at the accommodation during our family trip to Kyoto. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The hospitality was also excellent. We would definitely like to stay here again next time.

This was my first stay here to celebrate a friend. Thank you for the welcome fruit and the celebration plate. The view of the Kamo River from our Room was outstanding. For breakfast, I chose the Japanese set meal, and I was also able to enjoy items from the buffet, which I was very satisfied with. The Yuge Farm yogurt was especially delicious. The art tour was also excellent. By the way, I don’t think we received the Diamond member amenity…

We stayed here with three generations over the New Year. It was a bit small for four adults, but as a family, the minimum Facility was sufficient. The location was convenient for sightseeing, with a subway station within walking distance. The staff provided polite and pleasant service, making our stay enjoyable. We hope to try a different room next time. The breakfast was also very delicious.

On the morning of the 24th, I searched for and booked a Hotel with a large public bath nearby so I could watch the Gion Festival yamahoko “tsujimawashi” at Kawaramachi Oike. It was absolutely the right choice! From the subtly Kyoto-style entrance, everything felt welcoming—especially the front desk staff, whose excellent service instantly eased my fatigue from traveling in extreme heat. I was satisfied as soon as I entered the Room. It’s a take-off-your-shoes style, and the clean Room along with its layout and furnishings made it feel like coming home. Having all water facilities grouped together right by the entrance is very convenient. Since there is a large public bath, the shower booth in the Room was more than enough. While many Hotels these days don’t provide sofas or tables, I really appreciated having a long sofa you can lie down on, an armchair-style single sofa, and a table that’s plenty for two people. There are many great restaurants nearby, so it was nice to have a setup that makes takeout easy to enjoy in the Room. The lighting controls were easy to understand, with thoughtful touches like an individual bedside light and options for indirect lighting throughout the Room. The bed was very comfortable—even with sensitive skin and being sensitive to smells, I slept soundly. The linens—especially the pajamas—were high quality and perfectly laundered; cleaning standards were excellent overall, including towels for the large public bath. Water came in stylish Ito En bottle-type containers that were replenished again on the second day and convenient to carry around. Tea, coffee, and black tea were also restocked, and I was happy they even provided wine glasses. At the entrance to/fromthe large public bath area there were two types of vinegar drinks that helped me stay balanced during summer heat. As for views: you can see mountains inthe distance,but right next door is an apartment balcony,and below is temple cemetery grounds,s oI keptthe blinds downand used indirect lighting.(I usedto livein Teramachi,s o cemeteries don’t bother me.)Since windows are frosted glassin springand autumn too,I think it won’t be an issue unless you wantto open them fully.The hospitality at this Hotel more than made upfor it.I didn’t add breakfast,but usedthe attached grillfor lunchand cocktail time,and enjoyed both.I’d love to stay at this Accommodation again.

I used this facility for the first time on an affordable day after New Year's. I was aware there was no bathtub, but the variety of facilities was excellent. Perhaps because it was a weekday, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast in a quiet atmosphere. The smile of the woman at the breakfast area counter was very comforting. I will use this facility again.

Great location, easy to get around, and good value for money. The Room was quiet, and I’d like to stay again. The amenities were a bit lacking for women.

Even though it was February, the weather was pleasantly warm, so I decided to visit Kyoto. I made a same-day Reservation, and the location in the city center was convenient for getting anywhere. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so you can stay comfortably without any inconvenience. There is some noise because it’s in town, but I was able to sleep without being too bothered. It was also nice that coffee and other drinks were available on the same floor as my Room.

The property was a lovely townhouse just as seen in the photos. The building has historical significance but has been moderately renovated, with a beautiful open-plan living room and a rear garden. We didn't feel the presence of neighbors and enjoyed a quiet night, which was very satisfying. Although it was a whole house rental, we could use delivery services like a hotel, so both check-in and check-out were convenient with large luggage being handled at Kyoto Station, allowing for comfortable sightseeing. The response from the property's management company was courteous even at night, which was very reassuring. I think it's a property with hotel-like hospitality without the hassle of a hotel.

Located in the city center with excellent access. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a female-only dormitory and was able to use the upper bunk as requested, and it was nice to have towels available for free use. The only downside was that someone in the same Room talked late at night. I’ve stayed in dormitories before, but this had never happened, so it was a bit unpleasant. It only happened once during my 4-night stay, so it might have just been those particular guests on that day who were inconsiderate—perhaps because they were foreigners and unaware of local customs. It would be helpful if this could be explained during check-in. Other than that, there were no issues, and I would love to stay here again!

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days as a family of 8. The check-in explanation was thorough and excellent. We also appreciated the recommendation of a delicious bakery. The Facility was wonderful, and the surrounding atmosphere was pleasant. Regarding amenities, we found the kitchen detergent and sponge difficult to use.

The location can be a bit tricky to find. First-time visitors might get confused using Google Maps. I ended up calling the Hotel for directions. A good landmark is the corner with a 7-Eleven, where you turn into a side street. The Hotel's location is excellent. It's slightly outside the busiest area of Gion-Shijo but still close enough to access easily. For me, it was an ideal spot with convenient access in all directions. The Facility shows slight signs of age, but the lobby beyond the front desk offers a relaxing space. I appreciated that you must pass through the front desk upon entering and that the elevator is directly in front of it—this added to my sense of security.
