My mother stayed with you on this occasion with three friends. She told me that everything—the Room, the Onsen, and the meals—was outstanding. To celebrate her 77th birthday, you prepared a purple hood and vest for photos and also provided celebratory red rice buns, which made for wonderful memories, and she is truly grateful. Although the three of them travel to many places, they were deeply impressed by your exceptional hospitality. Thank you very much.

The Onsen was outstanding, the hospitality was exceptional, and we found a truly wonderful Accommodation. The coffee we were served was authentic and incredibly delicious. It seems the space is designed so you can relax without worrying about time. However, not being able to find a clock anywhere was a bit inconvenient. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

We were soothed by the attentive service, thoughtful hospitality, and relaxing atmosphere. We were also impressed by each dish and the flow of the course meal, all of which was truly delicious. My wife and I were deeply moved by the dedication of the manager, head chef, and staff, and we were thoroughly satisfied.

I stayed here for my younger sister’s birthday. The beef in the kaiseki course with Shinshu Premium Beef was very tender, and even when it cooled down, it didn’t feel heavy or greasy—absolutely delicious. All the other dishes were also excellent, and we were very satisfied. Perhaps because I mentioned the birthday in advance, we also received a surprise gift, which made us very happy. The Onsen was wonderful too, and my sister said it was a shame we only managed to use it twice. From the warm welcome on arrival to being seen off at departure, it felt heartfelt all the way through—not just a quick goodbye at the front desk. Thank you very much.

We went on a trip with three generations, including our grandchild who will soon be 2, looking forward to enjoying the neighboring pool and spa facilities. It was great that we could have fun without worrying about the weather. The Room was very clean, the Onsen was relaxing, and breakfast was delicious—overall it was wonderful, but one thing we noticed was that the bathroom sink in the Room was small and we ended up splashing water around it. Since it is also close to Magome and Tsumago, we would like to visit there next time as well.

Our family of five (four adults and our third son, 1 year and 9 months old) stayed here. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, but the weather on the day was terrible—so bad we were caught in a sudden torrential downpour. The heavy rain made visibility poor on the way to the Facility, and it was still pouring at check-in, but thanks to the staff’s kind and careful guidance, we were able to get into our dome tent safely. Unfortunately, the bonfire event planned at the center was canceled, but that couldn’t be helped given the weather. Even so, the Facility offered a rainy-day-only service of lending a projector free of charge (normally 1,000 yen). Thanks to that thoughtful gesture, our kids never got bored and we were able to enjoy glamping in a way that only a rainy day can offer. By the time we headed to the large public bathhouse, the rain had stopped for a while and there were few other guests. The men’s bath (with our kids) and women’s bath (for my wife) each felt like private use. We could relax without worrying about anyone else—and for our 1-year-9-month-old son it was his very first large public bath. Seeing him enjoy it without being scared put smiles on all of our faces. Even at night the weather remained unsettled—rain on and off with occasional thunder—but we couldn’t give up on seeing the stars. After putting our youngest to sleep, we took it easy with coffee. When I stepped outside around 3:00 a.m., all the clouds had cleared away, revealing an unbelievably beautiful sky full of stars. Countless stars shone brightly—far more than you could ever see in town—and I felt staying up late was truly worth it. On another note, perhaps because of the heavy rain, a few millipedes found their way into our house tent area and our older two boys made quite a fuss in the middle of night (laughs). We ended up slightly sleep-deprived, but now it has become one more funny family story—something that comes with being surrounded by nature. In the morning we woke up to birdsong. The fresh air made for an incredibly pleasant start to day—a luxurious moment you can’t experience in everyday life. The previous day’s bonfire had been canceled as an event, but they kindly arranged for each house area to enjoy one until 8:30 a.m. next morning instead. Watching fire while drinking coffee and reading was exactly what I’d hoped for. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast together as family on deck in front of house area; meals eaten in nature are something special every time—and everything was delicious. Even after returning home,we kept talking about how much we'd love come back again."

I stayed in Nakatsugawa the night before to attend the Kashimo Meijiza Classic Concert the next day. I arrived earlier than expected, but they kindly showed me to my Room early—much appreciated! Inside the building, you take off your shoes, which caught me off guard at first, but I had brought indoor slippers so I was able to stay comfortable. The cafe space has high ceilings and feels clean and uncluttered. Overall it doesn’t have a particularly relaxing atmosphere, but it’s comfortable as a place to stay. You can take a walk nearby, and there are plenty of restaurants around, so it was easy and pleasant to spend time there.

I visited once before it became TAOYA, so I can vouch for how wonderful the Onsen is! That silky-smooth water makes you want to soak again and again. Dinner felt like they really put in the effort, and everything was consistently good and delicious. That said, breakfast might feel a bit less impressive by comparison. We chose the most affordable Japanese-style Room, but it was very close to both the restaurant and the Onsen, and with two separate rooms it felt like a great value.

This Accommodation is located near a ski resort, and the building feels a bit dated. There was still a faint scent of old tatami in the room, but we didn’t encounter any stink bugs that sometimes appear at mountain lodgings, which was reassuring. The bath is an Onsen with a gentle feel on the skin and a slightly silky texture. I prefer soaking slowly in warm rather than hot water, and the temperature was just right for me. Dinner is served around an irori hearth. There seemed to be a tour-bus group staying that day as well, and the dining area was nearly full. Their menu appeared to be different from ours, but our hearth-grilled dishes were carefully turned at the right time by the attendant, and everything was delicious. This isn’t an Accommodation for those seeking glamour or luxury, but what impressed us most was the very reasonable price. It’s surprisingly affordable for a place listed on IKYU—about the cost of one night at a Business Hotel in Tokyo—and it even includes dinner for two. Considering the cool summer climate and this price point, it was more than satisfying stay.

I’ve stayed at many Accommodations where I thought, “This looks different from the photos on the official website…,” so I tried not to expect too much, but I was completely satisfied with everything. The Room was spacious and clean, and the in-room toilet had been renovated—large and comfortable. The footbath was also very relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style and delicious. The staff were all very pleasant as well. By chance, there was a summer festival nearby on the day we stayed, so we enjoyed Bon dancing, food stalls, games, and even a small fireworks display. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The building feels a bit old, but it is well maintained and there were no issues. The hospitality was excellent, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The meals were delicious as well—nothing to complain about. The stargazing tour was also great, and I would like to visit again in a different season.

I booked at a great price with a coupon, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very happy that the meal included grilled salt ayu. I recently stayed at Suimeikan in Gero, but they didn’t serve ayu. All the staff were pleasant and made me feel relaxed. I visit every year to pay my respects at the grave, so I’ll stay here again.

The staff’s friendly greetings and thoughtful hospitality made our stay very comfortable. I finished every last drop of the soy milk hot pot at breakfast—it was delicious. I made a Reservation here to see the starry sky. Unfortunately it rained, but the nighttime lights of the Onsen town seen from our Room window were also wonderful. I was captivated by Hirugami Onsen’s silky-smooth water. Thank you very much.

In the lobby, we were welcomed by the sound of many bell crickets. The meals were plentiful and delicious. The staff’s hospitality truly came through, making this Accommodation a very memorable stay. The only downside was that there was no Onsen signage at all in the large public bath.

The price was very reasonable, and parking was free. We also appreciated that breakfast was included at no extra charge.

Despite the rain, we truly appreciated being picked up when we arrived at the Accommodation and dropped off when we left, which made us feel very welcome. The Onsen water left our skin silky smooth, and we enjoyed a very relaxing bath. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a private room. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed as three generations and booked two Rooms (a barrier-free Japanese-Western Room and a Japanese-Western Room for four). ■Room Barrier-free Japanese-Western Room It felt a bit dated, but it was very clean and comfortable even with a wheelchair. That said, the view from the window was mostly the garden hillside, so the scenery was a little underwhelming, and the Room felt slightly dark at times. Japanese-Western Room (for four) A beautifully renovated, stylish space! With an amazing view of the pond right in front of us, our daughters were thrilled. ■Onsen・Facility / Inside the Accommodation The tatami hallways meant no slippers were needed—such a relaxing atmosphere. There was also a footbath area where we could unwind. The private bath in particular was spacious, so my mother could use it with peace of mind. The Onsen water quality was surprisingly rich and moisturizing—truly wonderful. ■Meals・Service The food portions were generous and everything tasted excellent. The extra-ordered horse sashimi was also very satisfying. When they prepared a cake for us, they kindly helped set things up so we could enjoy it in our Room, which we really appreciated. The free drinks after viewing hanamomo blossoms (including draft beer) were also fantastic. ■Overall The Rooms, Onsen, and meals were all outstanding—we had such a fulfilling stay. We would definitely like to return to this Accommodation.

I visited in early April. The cherry blossoms and peach blossoms in Achi were so beautiful and truly moving. The Hotel is located along the river, and at night the stars were incredibly clear; they also offered a stargazing tour. Only the lounge is pet-friendly, and we were able to dine with our pet for both breakfast and dinner. It was seating-style dining, but there was also an irori hearth, and the staff spoke kindly to our dog. The food was very delicious. The bath water felt slightly silky, which really made me feel it was a “beauty hot spring.” It was a bit disappointing that there was no open-air bath. It was a shame that the Room felt a little small and phone reception wasn’t great, but overall we were very satisfied.

I chose this place because I wanted to do SUP. Dinner was a barbecue, and breakfast was a Japanese set meal with hoba miso. The bath and toilet were shared, but there was also a refrigerator, and best of all, there was an Onsen and the price was low! There wasn’t an electric kettle in the Room, but paper cups and hot water were provided in the hallway. What was disappointing was that there was no washing machine. I couldn’t wash my swimsuit after SUP, and since my trip continued the next day, I went to a coin laundry after heading into town. Since it’s also far from town, if you’re planning a Multiple Night Stay, I think it’s a good idea to bring a small portable washing machine.

There is an accommodation nestled in a forested hill within walking distance from Nakatsugawa Station. The expansive grounds are lush with greenery and feature scattered traditional detached buildings, exuding the charm of a mountain retreat. Surrounded by garden stones, plants, and tea flowers, the landscaping is meticulously maintained. The historic buildings showcase aged materials and fittings that reflect their history and character but are kept impeccably clean. Each unit has been updated with a spacious unit bath equipped with a washing area and modern toilet facilities for convenient use at any time. One of the detached buildings houses large communal baths for men and women, each featuring rectangular stone bathtubs that can accommodate several people along with two washing areas. Large glass windows open fully to reveal views of the bright forest outside. While not an onsen, it offers an atmosphere reminiscent of one. The accommodation is conveniently located near Magome and Tsumago, attracting many international guests seeking its unique ambiance. Meals are served in private dining rooms within separate annexes where guests can enjoy dishes at tables with chairs. The cuisine features innovative rural delicacies inspired by tea kaiseki style, showcasing creativity and meticulous preparation in every dish. Pure rice sake available in the room's refrigerator pairs perfectly with these meals. Nights here are quiet, offering warmth despite being housed in old Japanese-style architecture known for its gaps between structures. The hospitality provided by the staff adds to this warm experience as well.
