I stayed here during a temporary return to Japan from overseas. It’s a wonderful property surrounded by nature. The staff’s hospitality, the room, the bath, and the meals were all excellent, and I was able to truly relax for the first time in a while—it was a very comfortable stay. We even had a surprise visit from squirrels on the terrace. Highly recommended, and I’d love to visit again.

This was my second stay, following my visit in July. Perhaps because of that, the owner seemed more relaxed than last time, and I felt we were able to connect a little more. In my previous Review, I wrote things like how it didn’t feel like the cats were the type you could constantly pet, and that one of them seemed unhappy when we took photos. I got the impression the owner may have been a bit concerned about those comments. However, what I really meant was that this Accommodation is worth visiting not for the cats, but for the food—so if it came across as a negative Review, I truly apologize. This time, Candy looked very pleased when I petted her around her neck and chin, and Mew repeatedly showed off catching food in her mouth. I felt we became friendlier than last time. Cats are naturally moody—and just like people, there are times when they’re not in the mood. Since taste is subjective, it might be clearer for first-time guests if you highlight “cute cats” rather than focusing too much on the cuisine. Personally though, I think of this place as: amazing food first, plus the bonus of meeting adorable cats—so honestly, I would come even if there were no cats. This time I added breakfast as well. The homemade dressing was delicious; the miso soup had a rich dashi flavor; and overall—including dinner—you can really feel how much care goes into every dish. Dinner included some items from last time as well as some changes, so even repeat guests can enjoy it. I travel almost every month throughout The whole country and overseas (40 countries), so I can’t visit very often—but whenever I’m heading to the Izu area again, I’d love to return. Please keep running this Accommodation for as long as your energy and motivation allow.

This was our first stay, and we spent two nights here with my spouse and our two dogs. The weather was perfect, and we had a wonderful and fulfilling two days. There is also a dog run on site, so I think our dogs had a great time as well. The meals were plentiful and very delicious. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.\nWe would love to stay again next time—thank you in advance.

I visited without expecting much, but it was a pleasant surprise. The service, meals, bath, and room were all very satisfying. If I had to mention one thing, it may not be ideal for those hoping for an open-air bath in the large public bath (due to the building’s layout). Next time, I’d like to stay in a different room as well.

We were completely satisfied with everything—the inn, the meals, the baths, and the staff. It was only a one-night stay, but next time we’d love to stay multiple nights and truly enjoy the property itself. Despite what some Google reviews mention, we didn’t notice any lack of maintenance in the room or bathtub; it was a wonderful inn with an atmospheric charm exactly as shown in the photos. Because it’s a hidden retreat, it can be hard to find the entrance and parking area at night, but if you call they will guide you. The staff were exceptionally polite and gentle throughout—arrival, escorting us to our room, assistance when going out, breakfast, and checkout—so we were able to relax with peace of mind. The building feels like a large traditional house that has been renovated: on the first floor there are private family baths, private dining rooms, a counter area (and likely the kitchen), while upstairs there are four guest rooms. The staircase is wide as well. Our room first had a spacious entryway of about 3 tatami mats; beyond an old-style wooden door reminiscent of Taisho/early Showa era design were the sink area and toilet. The pleasant scent of incense and subdued lighting were lovely touches. Just like in the photos, the room has exposed beams and a high ceiling with a skylight—on clear mornings you can see blue sky above. The room was more than spacious enough; even after laying out three futons there was still plenty of space besides the table. The bath towels were stylish too. The terrace felt just under 4 tatami mats in size and had a table, two chairs, a changing space, an open-air bath (rotenburo), and a single-person washing area. The tub was very clean. The water is quite hot (possibly around 43–44°C), so we recommend running cool water from the shower into it for about 10 minutes before getting in. Also note that spider webs often form around the fence area. With forest right in front of you, enjoying “forest bathing” at the same time was fantastic. We also used one of the family baths—it was spacious and comfortable. The tub has thick wooden framing with real character. Some people say it looks unmaintained; to us it seemed intentionally left to age naturally—and we liked that aesthetic. The water temperature there was slightly cooler and easy to soak in; both temperature and water quality felt great. Breakfast was also excellent—we finished everything before we knew it. It really was delicious… Our whole family enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Below are some tips that will make your stay even better: - Depending on staffing levels there may be times when they can’t answer calls right away; leaving voicemail ensures they will get back to you reliably - It’s best to watch their official YouTube directions video before driving there—they mentioned that taking another route could risk slipping off/nicking wheels off-road - The open-air bath on your terrace runs hot; dilute it with cold shower water before entering—the water quality and setting are both outstanding

This was my second stay. I booked the night before, and it was great value for money—I was able to relax and take my time. If you book normally, the splendid alfonsino is served as Italian-style herb-baked fish, so I added a note in the comments saying I’d be happy if it could be simmered instead. They called to confirm on the morning of our stay and kindly changed it to simmered fish. It was very delicious. I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

Stayed one night during Golden Week. Much better than the major Hotel we stayed at the previous day. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Onsen seemed medicinal. There is a designated smoking area on the premises, available 24 hours a day. Dog crates are available for loan, and pet amenities are well provided.

The standout feature was the meals. They take time to prepare, and everything was outstanding—so delicious I’d come just for the food. That level of satisfaction comes only once every few years… I truly hope you’ll try it. The baths are available 24 hours a day! The open-air bath feels especially wonderful. The indoor bath is a bit dated, but the view is fairly nice and I was satisfied. I was happy to find alcoholic drinks in the fridge (for a fee). Oh—and if you’re not good with insects, it might be best to bring some insect-repellent items (lol). We had a wonderful holiday here. I’m already thinking I’d like to stay again just for the meals. Sometimes the navigation system doesn’t guide you correctly, so arriving a little early may help you feel more relaxed. The roads are narrow, so getting lost can be rough… They even came outside to see us off—I felt a little shy, but I went home with a warm feeling in my heart. A great memory.

The room was very clean and beautifully maintained. It had a private open-air bath, but the water flow was low, so it took quite a while to fill; in winter, it may have cooled by the time it’s full. Since rain was forecast for the next day, we were able to relax until just before check-out. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We chose this place based on our destination and availability. The owner was very helpful, and we were able to stay comfortably. Although hot springs were not the main purpose of this trip, the room had an open-air bath, so we could enjoy our stay here without needing to go elsewhere for much, including meals. We booked a breakfast-only plan this time, but dinner is also available if you ask the owner. The location is easy to find once you get used to it, but map apps can be slightly confusing. There are many steep slopes in the area, so please be careful when heading there. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The Room was clean, and the simmered golden eye snapper for dinner was delicious—everything was excellent. The clear soup was also served at the perfect temperature and tasted great. Breakfast was very enjoyable as well. This is an Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

We stayed at this accommodation because my wife and I love baths, and we were excited to stay at a place with a unique bath and ocean view! The room with an ocean view was stylishly decorated in a tropical style. It was impeccably clean, giving off a very fresh feeling. The view of the ocean from the room was stunning—an unbeatable location! The cypress-scented bathtub with high-quality hot spring water left both my wife and me completely satisfied. On that chilly day, it warmed us up perfectly. We chose the dinner-included plan, which featured sashimi served on a boat platter, domestic beef steak, and beef stew—all of which were delicious. The beef stew was exceptional! I was especially impressed by the texture of the sauce and the tenderness of the meat—it rivaled or even surpassed my favorite Imperial Hotel's beef stew! The breakfast, including freshly baked bread and scrambled eggs, was also delightful. The friendly owner made our stay comfortable and worry-free. This is definitely an accommodation we would love to visit again!

It was great! The rice in the Japanese meal was incredibly delicious—absolutely the best. I’d love to know what variety of rice it was!!!

As shown in the photos, this is a beautiful and stylish standalone house. The space is simple and very calming. The view from the Room is stunning, allowing for a wonderful experience like something out of a drama. The bathroom was spacious and absolutely fantastic! From check-in to check-out, you can enjoy complete privacy without encountering anyone else. However, there were some areas where cleaning was not thorough, which was slightly disappointing. The outdoor chairs and sandals were old and dirty, lacking cleanliness and making them uncomfortable to use. Additionally, some leftover condiments were found but it was unclear when they were purchased; the oil had also discolored, which felt concerning. While it's great to avoid waste from an eco-friendly perspective, it would be appreciated if usage dates could be noted for such items.

We stayed with two families (10 guests) and were very satisfied. The women especially appreciated how easy the kitchen area was to use. The bath was also very comfortable, with Onsen water. We also enjoyed an outdoor BBQ, and the provided insect-repellent items—such as mosquito coils—made it very comfortable. The kids loved playing Nintendo Switch on the projector and watching videos or listening to music via Fire TV Stick. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We visited as a family. They were very kind to our dog, and the dog run was spacious and comfortable. The owner was also friendly and helpful.
