From the front desk with a panoramic view of Hakone’s great natural scenery to the Room with a private open-air bath, everything was excellent! The food was also very satisfying. The incense service and drink service were plentiful and much appreciated. The staff were very kind as well. We’ll be back!

We had another wonderful stay. No matter which Fufu Accommodation we visit, we are always delighted by the consistently heartfelt hospitality and the truly careful, delicious cuisine. At Fufu Hakone this time as well, we were soothed by the warm welcome from all the staff and were able to enjoy a relaxing, luxurious time. An Accommodation that makes you want to come back—Fufu is still number one for me. This time, we also made use of a wonderful IKYU benefit, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I am truly grateful for this special opportunity. We will do our best in everyday life and look forward to coming back to Fufu again. Thank you very much.

I stayed with my elderly mother, my niece who had returned from abroad, and my daughter. They were very kind and attentive to foreign guests, and they accommodated our food requests exactly as asked. We are truly grateful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily both days so we couldn’t do much sightseeing, but Hakone Shrine was within walking distance for a stroll. The next day the roads were closed and it was quite difficult, but the staff informed us early in the morning, which helped a lot and became a good memory for my nieces as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

With only a small number of Rooms, we were able to enjoy the Facility without much contact with other guests. As for the baths, we were able to take our time and enjoy all of them—the private open-air bath, the in-room open-air bath, and the in-room indoor bath. We’d also like to try the stone sauna next time. There were hours when we could use the lounge for beer, alcohol, coffee, and more. Although we couldn’t make it for cocktail time, we still made good use of it. It would be even better if the lounge stayed open a little later. Every dish had a gentle flavor and there was an impressive variety; everything was delicious and beautifully presented, so we enjoyed it with our eyes as well. Being able to choose three desserts ourselves was also great. Because we could dine at a relaxed pace, the portions felt just right and everything was very tasty. The Room was so clean that it didn’t feel like 15 years had passed at all, and we stayed very comfortably. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the wash area was a bit small. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as having separate towels prepared for the open-air bath and the indoor bath. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.

The Room had a continuously flowing cloudy Onsen, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful Room Service and Shuttle Service. It was excellent value for a Saturday stay for one guest. The only disappointment was that amenities such as facial lotion were individually packaged and provided for just one use—I would have appreciated at least two uses. The meals were the right amount for me, but they may feel a bit light for younger guests or men. Next time, I’d like to enjoy a drink at the bar.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. All the staff were always smiling, and their service was polite and attentive, so we had a very comfortable and enjoyable time. Upon arrival, we were shown to a private room next to the lobby, where we enjoyed some tea and sweets while choosing yukata. The lobby also had books and a souvenir shop. On the rooftop terrace there was a footbath, and we could truly relax while looking out over Lake Ashi and the surrounding mountains. We didn’t use them this time, but there was also a table tennis room (paid) and a kids’ room. The view from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing—I ended up soaking three times: on the first evening, at night, and again after breakfast on day two (haha). It seems they can also adjust the set temperature of the open-air bath upon request. In addition to the shower next to the open-air bath, there was also an indoor bathroom in the Room. I was happy that the hair dryer in the Room was ReFa. We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were served in the same private room we were shown to upon arrival. Dinner started at 18:00, and breakfast could be chosen between 8:30 or 9:00—great for someone like me who isn’t good at waking up early. Dinner included dishes such as salt-crusted grilled spiny lobster as well as lava-stone grilling of Kanagawa beef and Ashigara beef, which made it really fun. Both dinner and breakfast were truly excellent, and my girlfriend was very satisfied. The large public bath wasn’t very big, but it wasn’t crowded at all—we were able to bathe almost privately most of the time. The water was milky/opaque (nigoriyu), and my skin felt pleasantly soft afterward. I’ve been to Hakone several times, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation this good. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much!

We visited with our 3-month-old baby. As it was our first trip with a child, we were anxious at first, but thanks to the warm hospitality and flexible support, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We had made a Reservation for a dinner course at the restaurant, and I was worried that if our baby cried it might disturb other guests. The staff continued to reassure me with thoughtful words, and I was especially impressed by how quickly they arranged to change the latter part of the meal to room service. I’m truly grateful to the kind female staff member who took care of us at dinner! Because of this heartfelt service, we decided to make our next Reservation with a Hyatt property as well. Thank you very much!

We stayed here during Golden Week. Dinner was a sukiyaki set and breakfast was French toast, and to be honest, we didn’t have high expectations. Just in case, we bought some good sukiyaki beef at a nearby butcher, but the ingredients provided for both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However, we couldn’t find any clear information about what type of equipment was provided for making sukiyaki, so after searching for quite a while we contacted the staff. Even then, they didn’t know right away and said they would get back to us. In the end we were able to confirm the equipment type and how to use it, but it would be very helpful if this could be explained clearly somewhere. We only stayed one night this time, but we’d like to come back and stay longer.

Four of us stayed here on a girls’ trip. We booked a guaranteed Mt. Fuji view Room and were thrilled to see such a beautiful Mt. Fuji! The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, but it came with basic amenities and tea, and since we only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the Room, it was more than sufficient. The meals (with breakfast and dinner included) were delicious, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it all even though we wanted to try more. In the morning, we could hear Japanese bush warblers singing, which felt wonderfully refreshing, and seeing majestic Mt. Fuji made it an unforgettable memory! If we have the chance, we’d love to visit again.

It was my first time in Hakone Gora, and I was able to relax at this quiet Accommodation surrounded by forest. From the welcome drink onward, the meals kept coming—an indulgent dinner with plenty of cheese and meat. It was a bit too much for me, but everything was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful as well, with freshly cooked rice, miso soup, and rice topped with an Onsen egg—I thoroughly enjoyed a Japanese-style breakfast for the first time in a while. It is a small-scale Accommodation with a calm atmosphere; the Room was spacious enough, and there was also an open-air bath, which made it very convenient to use. I was happy to wake up to birdsong. All of the staff were very kind and attentive—thank you very much.

The open-air bath had a window, and I bathed with the screen in place. The Room had a great view, so I could relax and enjoy the scenery while soaking. The Room was compact, and the washbasin was right next to the bed; at first I found it a bit surprising, but it was actually convenient for drying my hair and getting ready. The Room felt slightly humid. I was disappointed that the toilet paper holder and the bath shelf were coming loose. Also, other LiVEMAX properties offered coffee service, but this one did not, and the coffee served with meals tasted weak. The meals were excellent—the simmered splendid alfonsino (kinmedai) was especially delicious, and the Japanese set breakfast was also very good. All of the staff were very pleasant, so I had a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to visit again.

We stayed one night in a “special-condition” suite with breakfast and dinner included. We were able to stay at a lower rate because the open-air bath in the Room was not available, but the meals were delicious—steak, sashimi, and salmon roe—and dishes were replenished promptly when they ran out. The Onsen’s women’s bath was a bit small on the first day, but it was comfortable the next morning since the men’s and women’s baths switch. Many of the staff were foreign nationals, but their polite language left a good impression. With great meals and a clean Room, it was excellent value for money, and we would like to stay again.

This was my first time staying at TAOYA. The Hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. There was a wide variety of food, and everything was truly delicious. The lounge offerings changed throughout the day, so it always felt fresh no matter when I visited. I will definitely come again.

I had pain in my shoulders and lower back, and even daily life felt difficult—I was extremely stressed. The Facility feels a bit old, which can’t really be helped, but the Onsen was excellent. The baths were never crowded, and I didn’t run into other guests at all. I’d like to stay again, though it may be hard to get a Reservation.

The post town atmosphere was wonderfully charming and lovely. Although there were quite a few guests on the day we stayed, it was very quiet and relaxing. The meals were also delicious both at breakfast and dinner.

[From Check-in to the Room] We arrived by car and were warmly welcomed. After check-in, we were escorted to our Room while enjoying tea and sweets. [Attractions] We chose one of the two activities and whisked matcha ourselves, then enjoyed tea on the Sky Corridor for a perfect digital detox. There was also a surprise arranged by my wife and the staff for me, which truly moved me—thank you so much. [Dinner] As the title suggests, the meal featured carefully selected ingredients gathered along the Tokaido route and a strong focus on water quality. We’ve enjoyed excellent cuisine at many places (Sekaie, Miwa, Karaku, Mayufutahari, Honbako, Hoshino Resorts, etc.), but this surpassed them all. From the dashi to rice served multiple ways with different textures and aromas, everything delighted all five senses—and our conversation with the staff made time fly by. Personally, I especially loved the rare bonito cutlet and Tajima-Gen beef shabu-shabu with chilled chawanmushi. [Breakfast] It began with wake-up tea. We had two kinds of dried fish (including horse mackerel), both outstanding. As with dinner, rice cooked in a clay pot was excellent—not only as white rice but also as crispy scorched rice enjoyed in hot water (“kogashi-yu”), which was a new discovery for us. Personally, I especially enjoyed the dried fish and simmered vegetables. [Room] A functional Room with thoughtful touches such as aroma oil for stone warming and three types of tea. Since it’s designed for digital detoxing there is no TV. We relaxed slowly in the semi-open-air bath in our Room. [Service] Everyone provided exceptional service—from those who helped arrange our surprise from Reservation through arrival day, to those who whisked matcha together with us as beginners; from dinner service by someone who shared my wife’s name to breakfast staff who kindly accommodated an unexpected request. Each moment became a lasting memory. [Overall] We will definitely return—next time in autumn or spring would be ideal. With such comfortable hospitality from everyone here, this Accommodation is deeply soothing and easy to recommend. Since it has only recently opened up: personally speaking it would be nice to have insect screens on the outer windows by the semi-open-air bath; also given how much care goes into tea and ingredients it might be great to have a small space where guests can buy souvenirs such as tea leaves teaware or dried fish as keepsakes.

I think it’s outstanding for relieving lower back pain and fatigue. I was traveling by public transportation and usually had to take breaks because of my back pain, but the day after soaking in the Onsen here, I was able to walk all day without any pain. It was very gentle, not strongly scented, and truly a wonderful bath. As for the Facility, it felt a little old. The meals were generous in portion and very delicious. Although the Facility felt a bit dated, I was still able to relax comfortably. In any case, the Onsen was great! I’d like to visit again in winter.

I recently traveled to Hakone. I was unsure which Hotel or Ryokan to choose, but I decided on Mitake-san because they offered in-room dining that looked delicious in the photos and had a private open-air bath option. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by adorable cats and kind staff, and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful and happy two days in Hakone. I hope to visit again within this year!

The bath: It would have been better if it was cloudier, but I’m still satisfied. The scale was not working properly, but I apologize for not informing the front desk. Meals: They were delicious. Room: It was small, but I appreciated the handmade cheesecake. The Shuttle Service was also helpful. Thank you!
