This was a return visit, and I was delighted that you remembered me and greeted me. Once again, it was a stay that made me want to come back. The free-flowing hot spring water was wonderful, and I stayed warm long after my bath. I also truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the proprietress kindly offering extra yukata and towels. Every dish was genuinely delicious—not only the sashimi and simmered dishes, but even the rice left a strong impression. I was told it was “Milky Queen glacier rice,” and it was sweet and pleasantly chewy; the rice itself felt like a feast. The dried fish at breakfast was also grilled to crispy perfection all the way to the head, and I ended up eating it neatly to the last bite. I’m grateful for such a delicious meal. Being able to have dinner served in the room is one of this inn’s charms. This time, since I wanted to get some work done in my room as well, I chose to dine in the dining area instead. In that spacious room with large windows—without turning on the TV—I found it incredibly relaxing to take my time and focus on each dish. The chair and table placed in the sunroom area of my room were also perfect for light work and very comfortable. It’s also nice that plenty of coffee and tea are provided. The flowers in the alcove were beautiful and lifted my spirits. The futon bedding was fluffy, too—I slept very well. If I could make just one request, having a power strip in the room would be even more helpful. Other than that, everything was excellent. I’d love to return again for the hot springs, wonderful food, and warm hospitality.

Surrender to a serene space and listen to the sounds of the gorge as time passes quietly. The in-room Onsen, kept at a gentle temperature, invites you to soak slowly as body and mind unwind. This timeworn wooden building lives on, its age transformed into beauty. Every corner of the Accommodation is carefully maintained, and its presence carries unmistakable elegance. And then—clear dashi broth, the richness of local fish, and the fragrance of matsutake mushrooms. Each ingredient’s character is brought out with care, with thoughtful attention to layered flavors, lingering finishes, and the flow of each kaiseki course. An Accommodation where you can come close to the essence of beauty.

This was our second stay, and everything—from the facilities and cuisine to the service—was excellent. The room was spacious and well equipped with no inconveniences at all, impeccably cleaned, and the open-air bath was also generously sized, making it wonderfully relaxing to use. The meals made great use of quality ingredients while incorporating thoughtful touches, and everything was delicious. The truffle rice at dinner (maybe it was just my imagination) seemed even more fragrant with dashi than last time—it was so good I felt like I could eat bowl after bowl! All of the staff were courteous and attentive, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable stay from start to finish. We truly felt glad we chose to stay again. Thank you very much.

This is my favorite Accommodation, and I’ve returned many times. This time, I stayed in the Geihinkan “Hanafuki” Room and was truly soothed by the spacious, luxurious setting. The view of the waterfall flowing right in front of the Room was especially memorable, and I could relax at a leisurely pace while listening to the gentle sound of the river. The double-sink vanity was very convenient, and it was also a great touch that I could step straight from the bedroom to the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room. Being able to enjoy Onsen whenever I like without any hesitation feels wonderfully indulgent. Because the bedroom and dining Room are separate, there’s no need for futon setup or takedown, so I could stay comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire stay. Meals were served in-room, which I loved—hot dishes arrived piping hot, and cold dishes stayed perfectly chilled, letting me enjoy everything at its freshest. The seasonal tableware and menu were delicious and beautifully presented, making each meal something I look forward to every time. The tea prepared during meals was also excellent and truly calming. I also appreciated all the complimentary services—from free drinks in the in-room refrigerator to drinks and ice cream in the lounge. It was especially nice that towels are provided at the large public bath so there’s no need to bring them from your Room. The large public bath itself is very comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Above all, every staff member offers such warm hospitality and attentive care. Once again, this stay left me feeling deeply refreshed as I enjoyed a comfortable yet luxurious time. It’s an Accommodation that makes me think “I want to come back” every single visit—I truly love it. I will definitely return again.

The in-room hot spring bath with free-flowing source water was wonderful. The view from the room was also amazing. I stayed in and worked as part of my job, and it went very smoothly. They upgraded our Room beyond what we had reserved, and we unexpectedly got to stay in a 120 m² suite. The suite with a spacious ocean-view balcony was simply breathtaking! The blue-themed interior was beautiful as well, and we enjoyed a truly luxurious stay. The restaurant food was excellent, and the freshly fried horse mackerel at the live kitchen and the roast beef really lived up to expectations. At check-in, they asked about the purpose of our trip; when we told them it was for our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with an anniversary dessert plate—an unforgettable Hotel stay from start to finish. They also offer Shuttle Service, so even without a car we were able to get there without any trouble. We would love to return.

While many Accommodations have changed before and after COVID, I can truly relax with peace of mind knowing the quality here is consistently the same whenever I visit. The cuisine delighted my eyes, satisfied my palate, and deeply moved me. The hot spring was excellent, and the Room was exceptionally comfortable. This time, for the first time, I encountered deer and wild boar and felt the mystical power of nature as well. Thank you for such a wonderful escape from everyday life. We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The meals were truly delicious, and I was especially happy to see my mother—who usually eats lightly—enjoy so much. Even while you were busy serving, you were very attentive, and when we shared how impressed we were with the dishes, you kindly explained the ideas and techniques behind them. It made for a wonderful time. We felt refreshed by the pleasant Onsen and your thoughtful hospitality. My mother is already excited to come back next time with her friends. I would also love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

There is a fully equipped grooming room, and the high-quality shampoo and conditioner were excellent—we were very satisfied. The view was disappointing due to dense fog and rain, but we had a great time playing in the covered dog run. We also received plenty of treats and food for our dogs, so we will definitely be back.

Despite the inconvenience, you kindly provided Shuttle Service for one member of our family. Thank you as well for preparing such a wonderful Room for us. Both breakfast and dinner were carefully prepared and delicious. Thank you to the proprietress and all the staff for your kindness. We would love to stay again.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The room was spacious, and although there were some areas where the flooring and wallpaper were peeling, we were able to relax in a stylish space. There were many calm, comfortable areas throughout the building; it was a tasteful property, and the garden area was also wonderful. Was this building designed by a well-known architect? Being able to watch the fireworks from our room was amazing. The open-air bath also offered a fantastic view with the ocean right in front of us. The food was delicious as well. However, it was disappointing that there were long lines at breakfast because there were only two types of coffee machines and each had limited options. Also, the coffee from one of the machines was far too weak. Since there are rooms where pets can stay as well, we would like to bring our dog next time and stay again. Thank you for a wonderful time.

The complimentary drinks and soft-serve ice cream after check-in were a nice touch. There was also bread at breakfast, but it ran out quickly and wasn’t replenished afterward. There were no skincare items like toner, so be sure to bring your own! Great value with no unnecessary frills or extravagance, so I could relax without feeling self-conscious. The meals were pretty good as well. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

Service, hot springs, meals, room, and tranquility—everything was excellent. I would definitely like to visit again. However, perhaps because of the season, we were heavily bothered by mosquitoes at the large public open-air bath and on the terrace of our room. There was mosquito coil incense in the private bath, but it would be appreciated if it were also available in the room and in the private bath. We borrowed an anti-itch ointment from the front desk. It was a lifesaver—thank you very much.

15 minutes from Yugawara Station by local bus. Get off at the Onsenkyo bus stop and walk 1 minute. There is no Shuttle Service, but buses run frequently, so it was convenient. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, but we arrived around 2:00 PM and waited in the lounge. Coffee and other drinks (available 24 hours) are free refills, so we could relax while waiting. After a short break, we left our luggage and went sightseeing at Fudo Falls, about a 6-minute walk away. After check-in, we could immediately enjoy the free-flowing Onsen. We relaxed in our Room until dinner time. The baths rotate by time between men and women. For the women’s bath, until 6:00 PM and from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, it is an indoor Onsen without an open-air bath on the first floor with a sauna (no windows). From 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM the next day, it becomes an Onsen with an open-air bath—this one was excellent. It’s a Japanese-style room, and you lay out your own futon. Dinner was vegetable-focused. The bean rice is cooked at the table. There is also a mini buffet where you can have as much as you like—drinks, desserts, soft-serve ice cream, and fruit. I was completely full and very satisfied. Maybe it’s part of Noguchi Kanko? It felt slightly upscale and was very nice. We were also able to use a coupon discount and stay at a great price.

To celebrate my parents’ wedding anniversary, I booked this place to give them their first trip as a gift. It was our first family trip in a while, and everything—from the room to the rooftop open-air bath—was wonderful, allowing us to relax and take our time. The meals were also delicious. As an anniversary surprise, they even served bite-sized sekihan (red bean rice) as part of the menu. My parents were truly delighted. Thanks to this ryokan, I feel I was able to do something meaningful for them. Thank you for such a wonderful time.
