Unfortunately, due to cloudy and rainy weather, we couldn’t see the starry sky, but we’re already thinking about when to come back for another try. There was a warm, homey atmosphere among guests as well—people asked questions and helped each other out. The drink corner was a great idea, but even after trying many times, no ice came out, and there were a few things that were unclear. An elderly guest seemed troubled because the coffee wouldn’t stop dispensing. I think it would be helpful to post easy-to-understand instructions. At mealtimes, the staff serving us were all foreigners, but they were very polite. Their Japanese was quite limited at times so we didn’t always understand what they said, but we could generally guess from the context and had no issues. One thing that stood out compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at: since it’s a quiet Hotel I thought this might be normal here, but I was surprised that none of the staff said “good morning” to guests in the morning. When my husband passed by the front desk he greeted them first; they may not have heard him, but they were chatting among themselves and didn’t greet guests even as people walked right in front of them. In contrast, the foreign staff in the restaurant—even with limited Japanese—did say “good morning.” Also, the Onsen was wonderful, but there is no fan in the changing room. Having one would help guests cool down more easily and might reduce crowding there. The large public bath and open-air bath are very comfortable and warm you up well. The green view from the open-air bath—and in the morning, clouds or mist drifting over the mountains—felt truly unique. The meals were a good portion size and showed creativity within their price range. Dinner offered an enjoyable mix of Japanese- and Western-style dishes with plenty of variety. Breakfast was buffet-style with many options including both Western and Japanese items as well as desserts; everyone seemed to be enjoying it. The highland area is beautiful—it feels like it could even become a villa resort area someday. We also visited Relaxia Forest next to the Hotel (apparently used as a movie filming location). It’s a lovely forest where we could enjoy forest bathing too. There don’t seem to be any other Hotels around this area, so we’d like to stay again.

We visited as three generations—my mother and my daughters. It was our first time staying in a lodge, but everything had been prepared for us, so it was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and there were no insects inside. Of course, when you’re having a BBQ on the balcony, that can’t always be helped. In the kitchenette area, there were plates of various sizes. From disposable chopsticks to spoons to knives… we didn’t need to bring anything. There was also a microwave, toaster, rice cooker, electric kettle, and even a stove—thank you so much. They had also prepared the BBQ plate for us upon arrival, so we were able to grill meat on the balcony and have a great time together. The season was perfect too, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The kids wanted to play tennis, so we rented a court for two hours and had lots of fun playing while cheering and laughing. There’s also a MaxValu nearby as well as a butcher shop. There’s a roadside station too, so buying ingredients locally wasn’t an issue at all. The bathroom was very clean as well, so we could soak and relax. The reception staff kindly explained everything in detail. Thank you very much. At night… while we were on the balcony, we could hear voices coming from the mountains right in front of us. They weren’t scary voices exactly, but… how should I put it—there were men’s “ohh-ohh” calls along with a deep bell-like sound that continued for quite some time. I forgot to ask what it was at check-out, so I’d like to find out next time.

We stayed here as an Accommodation for sightseeing at Ikuno Silver Mine, choosing it based on Reviews. The carefully prepared meals and the warm hospitality of all the staff were wonderful. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, with impressive single-slab wooden tables lined up, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Even the breakfast bacon was homemade using locally branded pork—pure, simple flavors that let the ingredients shine through. We would definitely like to stay again.

I made a reservation as a birthday gift for my beloved. Wanting him to refresh from daily fatigue in the countryside, we enjoyed the perfect space and time. The place was clean, calming, and comfortable even though it was our first visit. The indoor charcoal grill experience was fantastic. Ingredients were well-prepared and easy to use, with the option to bring additional items for cooking—meals were truly satisfying. At night, we enjoyed drinks together, had deeper conversations than usual, and spent an incredibly fulfilling time. We definitely want to come back here together again!

We stayed in a river-view room. The soothing sound of the flowing water enhanced the sense of relaxation. The large public bath also has both a shallow rock bath and a deep rock bath, and the changing area was clean and pleasant. The lobby has a nostalgic atmosphere like a single inn in rural Japan. I hope it stays just as it is—without becoming overly stylish—and preserves that hometown feel. Our main purpose this time was stargazing, and the night sky was simply breathtaking—an overwhelming spectacle. This is truly an Accommodation for star viewing. The riverside charcoal-grilled meal featured live amago trout, which was an experience we don’t usually get to have. The portions were huge—I was completely full. The bed linens were soft with just the right firmness, and I slept very well.

I stayed here during a touring trip. I had a large Room all to myself, and since I had plenty of time, I enjoyed the Onsen four times before checkout. As it was a weekday, I could relax at my own pace. The information said dinner would include salt-grilled ayu, so given the season I was looking forward to late-season ayu, but it turned out to be grilled trout instead. It was still delicious, but a little disappointing. Since it’s deep in the mountains, the stars in the night sky were incredibly beautiful. Thank you.

Most of all, the kids were thrilled! My son was happy to see a rhinoceros beetle, and my daughter loved how clean the Room was—it was great! We’d like to stay again. Next time, we want to come with a bigger group! Some places to play are a bit far away, but it’s fine if you have a car!
