How many times has it been now—another indulgent stay at Kasumi Onsen. Because my wife has a shellfish allergy, we avoid the Matsuba crab season, but during the spring and autumn Kasumi crab seasons we make a special request to have her crab portion replaced with nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch)—we’re truly demanding guests. I enjoy the crab, while my wife is served an unbelievably large nodoguro, perfectly grilled with salt (and I get to taste a bit of it too). Even though we’re asking for two different meals for two people, the staff not only welcome us with warm smiles, but also stop by for a chat when they have time and tell us about caring for their rice fields and plum trees. In short, while we’re here they let us do whatever we like freely—and whenever we need help, they come right away. As long as this hospitality continues, a stay at ICHIJO is guaranteed to be delicious, fun, and delightful. Top-quality ingredients, wonderful料理料理?

Everything was comfortable. The staff, lobby, meals, Room, and bath were all clean and relaxing. The meals were thoughtfully prepared, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, it would have been even better if there had been a dinner menu. At other places I’ve stayed, they compile the menus into a file for easy reference. The illustrated breakfast menu was great. I quickly framed it with my watermelon eraser stamp and displayed it in my living room. It looks wonderful in the frame.

The views from the window—an unmanned station and the sea—were beautiful, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Every dish was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab and shrimp. The Accommodation was quiet throughout, with a soothing atmosphere that made time feel as if it were gently passing by, allowing us to forget everyday life and truly unwind. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again in a different season.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary with our three children, and thank you for your kind and family-friendly hospitality. Our kids were absolutely delighted! The meals were incredibly delicious, and we’re sorry we couldn’t finish everything... The bath was also wonderfully relaxing. It would have been perfect with an outdoor bath, but considering the surroundings, it’s understandable (lol). We truly felt we had found a great Accommodation, and we’d love to stay again.

The Facility has been renovated and is very well cleaned, with no pet odors or stains. The meals were delicious, and since it was a weekday there were few other guests, so we could relax without worrying. All the staff were kind, and we were touched to receive an illustration of our pet. They even saw us off until we were out of sight when we left, which made us want to come again. Weekdays are recommended! Thank you very much.

This was our first trip staying with our dog, so we were a little nervous at first, but we had a truly wonderful time! The Room was very clean, and we really appreciated the owner’s thoughtful attention to detail and kind, courteous support. Above all, the view was amazing! The dog run was spacious enough for small dogs, and our dog happily ran around and had a great time. Our kids also said, “We want to come again!”, and our whole family enjoyed a lovely stay together. We would definitely love to stay here again with our dog.

The four of us stayed with breakfast included. The food was delicious, and the owner and all the staff provided excellent service—thank you for your heartfelt hospitality. In addition, thank you for driving us from Kasumi to Toyooka on a morning of heavy snowfall.

It was a wonderful inn where the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was evident throughout. We relaxed in a calm, comfortable room and thoroughly enjoyed the private bath at our leisure. The crab was delicious, of course, and the seasonal appetizers and beautiful tableware made for an outstanding meal. We enjoyed every dish to the very end. We would love to visit again with family and friends.

I stayed here on the first day of a three-day holiday weekend to fully enjoy Kasumi crab, which was the highlight of this trip. I booked the full-course meal featuring extra-large Kasumi crab (top-grade “Bangani” class). From crab sashimi, boiled crab, grilled crab, shell miso grilling, tempura, crab shabu-shabu, to a crab hot pot, I was able to savor Kasumi crab in many different styles. What impressed me most were the crab sashimi and the shabu-shabu—both were equally delicious. I was also very satisfied with the service, such as having the grilled crab prepared right in front of me. The portion size was just right. For the final rice porridge (zosui), I added some reserved crab meat and enjoyed it until the very end. The drinks—especially sake—were reasonably priced as well, which I appreciated. For bathing, I reserved a private semi-open-air bath. It cost about JPY 2,000 for 45 minutes. There were two types—a hinoki (cypress) bath and a tiled bath—and even the water temperature differed between them. I was very pleased with both. In terms of facilities, there is no refrigerator in the room and you need to borrow a hair dryer from reception. Some guests may find this slightly inconvenient. However, all staff were welcoming from check-in onward, and I had a comfortable stay overall. Even though it was during a busy holiday weekend, considering the quality and volume of the meals along with the baths and hospitality, it felt like an excellent value. I’m grateful that I could truly enjoy delicious Kasumi crab while having such a pleasant stay. This is an inn I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

For the past decade or so, we have been taking a crab trip to Kasumi-Shibayama about once a year, and compared with places we stayed in the past, this Accommodation was higher quality and very satisfying. As it is a small Accommodation with only three Rooms, you can’t expect much beyond the quality of the Room and meals, but it is an Accommodation I can recommend.
