The Room was very clean, and I was able to stay comfortable throughout my entire visit. What I especially loved were the infinity pool and the sauna. With only seven Rooms available per day, it never felt crowded, and I could relax and enjoy them at a leisurely pace. The views were stunning, and you can truly experience an extraordinary escape from everyday life. The staff’s hospitality was also excellent, making my stay very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar had a wonderful atmosphere as well. Being able to enjoy drinks slowly while taking in the view was particularly memorable. It’s not an inexpensive Accommodation, but considering the Facility offerings, meals, service, and views, I felt it was well worth the price. I would love to stay again.

The Ryokan offers excellent hospitality, a clean and beautiful interior, and courteous service, resulting in a very high level of overall satisfaction as a Ryokan. In addition, as a dog lover, I was deeply impressed by how they accommodated us when traveling with our dog and how they treat dogs with great care and respect rather than “just as dogs.” The Facilities and meals were excellent as expected, and the Onsen was also outstanding; it was our dog’s first Onsen experience, but we were extremely satisfied throughout. It even felt like our dog’s paw pads became softer and their coat improved, so the Onsen benefits seem truly wonderful.

I booked this Ryokan to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Since Yumotokan was over our budget, we stayed at Komorebi on Friday and Saturday (JPY 17,000 per person). We were really looking forward to the Onsen, and although it costs extra, we were very satisfied that for JPY 700 we could access the adjacent Yumotokan and enjoy an Onsen while looking out over Lake Biwa. The Onsen on the 11th floor in particular felt wonderfully open and bright—I felt so relaxed I could have dozed off. The meals were also luxurious, with steak and shabu-shabu. The eel takikomi rice was especially delicious. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful time!

The bath and Room were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were very kind. Both dinner and breakfast had just the right seasoning and portions, and everything was delicious. It would be perfect if breakfast included a small dessert bite and after-meal coffee. This was a Ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again and recommend to friends. Thank you very much to all the staff.

I used the Club Lounge Plan on a solo trip. I’ve stayed at several Hotels with lounge Plans, but this one is truly special. It felt like a dream to enjoy champagne anytime at such a great sale price. From the welcome drink and fu-yaki rice crackers to the sweets box, everything served at each presentation was excellent. Since it was a weekday, the lounge was not crowded, and there were counter-style seats where I could sit alone, so I felt comfortable using it. The Room (AQUA) was also wonderful with its blue-themed design, and the bedside lamp was adorable. When I opened the Room door, there was a Lake Biwa view. The weather was perfect, and I spent hours just sitting on the couch and enjoying it. There is a large public bath, but the in-room bath was spacious and more than enough. I didn’t have a car, but it’s only two train stops from Kyoto. There is also Shuttle Service available, and if you go one stop on the Keihan Line, you can visit Mii-dera Temple to see National Treasures and various Buddhist statues. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This is my second stay. Since it was December, the dinner buffet featured a Christmas menu, and everything was delicious. The Christmas illuminations were also very beautiful, allowing me to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere. Lago Otsu is really close by, so I could take

The building is old, but it felt clean. There were paintings displayed everywhere, which was lovely. The Hotel staff were also very courteous. However, after checking out, I stopped by again in the evening because I decided there was a souvenir from the Hotel that I wanted to buy. When I told a man at the front desk—someone I had not seen before—that I was not a guest with a Reservation for that day, his attitude felt a bit cold, so I deducted one star. The female front desk staff were all polite and helpful. Thank you very much.

The Hotel staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. They contacted us the day before to Check Reservation, and their support at check-in and friendly greetings whenever we passed made us feel truly cared for. The view of Lake Biwa from the bath was also wonderful, making for a fantastic stay.

I love this Hotel—being soothed by the familiar Japanese-style Room and the usual view of Lake Biwa. It was my first stay in two years, and various things had been simplified. Breakfast is very delicious, but there were so many guests that day that we were seated far away from the food. I think we waited over 20 minutes for the made-to-order omelet. Some foreign guests ended up leaving without waiting for their omelets. The smoothie, as always, was excellent. It was my first time seeing the planetarium, but I wondered if there were mites in the seats. After sitting for a while, both my spouse and I started itching on our arms and kept scratching. As with old movie theaters, I think pest control and insect prevention would be a good idea. As for the Room amenities, various items were provided in the washroom, but they were hard to see at a glance. This is one of my favorite Hotels, so I hope to see improvements in service going forward.

At the time of Reservation for a Multiple Night Stay, the second night was in a different Room, but when we arrived we were told there had been a cancellation, so it was easy and convenient to stay in the same Room.

I stayed here for a reunion with old friends. The baths (including the open-air bath) were excellent, and the theater performance was wonderful. Above all, it was great to relax and take our time reminiscing about the past. Everything was thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. I’d love to visit again and again. I’m already looking forward to the next performance.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The Room had wooden flooring, which made it very easy to use, and it was spacious enough to relax comfortably. The drink service in the lobby was excellent, especially since alcohol was available, and we really appreciated the evening curry service as well. However, on the second night, even though it wasn’t that late yet, the curry had already run out and there was no refill, which was very disappointing. It would be great if there were a large public bath.

Perhaps because we visited on a weekday, the baths were almost private, and we could relax and take our time. The meals were excellent in both portion size and taste, and they were served in a private room. Since we had children with us, we really appreciated that. The Hotel staff were all very kind, and we would love to stay here again when we visit Shiga.

I’ve been staying here for over 10 years. Since our child uses a wheelchair, we can’t use the large public bath, so we look for an Accommodation with a private bath/family bath. Chimatsu has an excellent private bath with an anteroom, which makes transfers to and from the wheelchair and helping with changing clothes very easy. Best of all, the private-bath slot is 60 minutes, so our family can bathe without watching the clock. There are small steps at Room entrances inside the building, but they’re manageable—we can carry our child in and out. The elevator is also spacious enough even with a wheelchair, so getting around isn’t a problem. The meals are delicious too. Every year we order the sashimi boat platter—it's impressive in size, yet each dish on it is delicate, and I highly recommend it for both presentation and taste! It’s even better when you enjoy Chimatsu’s original sake “Chimatsu” while eating the boat platter. The parking lot is large, and just across the road there’s a big AEON mall, which is convenient for quick shopping as well. When we travel home again next year, we’ll get off the expressway along the way and stop by.

Smooth handling of a same-day online reservation. The facility near Lake Biwa was clean and well-maintained, allowing for a pleasant stay. After a long journey by land from Kyushu, I was able to relax and feel rejuvenated at the accommodation. Thank you very much.
