We were able to relax in a quiet setting surrounded by nature. The private open-air bath attached to the room was spacious, and we could unwind in the hot spring water. The amenities—especially ReFa—were excellent. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in our room at a leisurely pace as a family.

Thank you for helping us celebrate my hot-spring-loving father’s 88th birthday. My parents especially loved relaxing in Ginpaso’s lounge—soaking their feet in the footbath while gazing out at the sea. I also enjoyed a truly luxurious, peaceful time just watching the ocean from the footbath. Last year we enjoyed an exquisite kaiseki dinner, but this time we chose my father’s favorite: a Western-style teppanyaki steak course. Both of my parents savored every dish. The highlight was the teppanyaki live abalone and abalone liver—when they heard it had been alive just moments before, my mother said “I feel sorry for it,” which made all the staff smile, but she still thoroughly enjoyed it. At dessert, you even prepared a wonderful message plate and an 88th-birthday celebratory vest (chanchanko). My father smiled shyly from ear to ear. You also beautifully incorporated our own party props and crown for his 88th birthday into the decorations, and thanks to everyone’s warmth, both of my parents were absolutely delighted. We grandchildren were able to take photos with huge smiles as well. We are truly grateful for all of your thoughtful hospitality and kindness.

My daughter and I stayed here together. The room was very clean, and the food was delicious. We were also impressed by the illustrated menu. The small decorative items displayed throughout the property were adorable, but it was a bit disappointing to notice some spots where dust had accumulated when we looked closely. Oyakata-kun was calm and cute.

From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles. Enjoying discounted drinks at half price while watching the sunset from the terrace was wonderful, and in the morning there was complimentary coffee and tea on the terrace. It was truly relaxing. The poached eggs at breakfast were delicious—exactly what you’d expect from a classic hotel—and I regret not ordering dinner. The room was new, clean, quiet, and comfortable; it was a very pleasant place to rest.

I stayed here with my parents in their 70s, the three of us together. They were truly delighted, and it became a wonderful trip we’ll always remember. With around 70 years of history, the building shows its age from the outside, but everything was impeccably clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a renovated room with a private open-air bath. Mikawa Bay stretched out right in front of us, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. At night, I watched the moon from bed—and even saw a shooting star—an unforgettable moment. Above all, the food impressed us most! Because dinner was served in our room, we could enjoy it at our own pace. Each dish was beautifully presented, made with fresh ingredients, and seasoned elegantly to highlight their natural flavors. Even though there were many courses, all three of us finished everything. It made perfect sense to learn that the executive chef has received an “Aichi Master Craftsman” award. The staff member who served our meal was friendly and explained everything clearly, making dinner time even more enjoyable. The room also had a complimentary draft beer server, plus mandarin orange juice and jelly in the fridge. After they laid out our futons, they even left chocolates and mineral water—such thoughtful touches really moved us. Beautiful scenery, heartfelt hospitality, and above all outstanding cuisine—we enjoyed a luxurious and deeply relaxing stay as a family. The meals were so exceptional that we genuinely want to come back just to taste them again. If you’re staying in Gamagori, this is the one place to choose—I will definitely return. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

It turned out to be a great-value stay for the price! After climbing the very steep hill in front of the hotel and stepping inside, we were welcomed by two owl mascots—the symbol of the property—right in front of the reception desk. They were adorable. Since I was traveling alone, I was able to use the room spaciously. The building itself feels a bit old, but there were no issues with cleanliness or maintenance. The hot spring baths were a little far away, but it didn’t bother me. The water was pleasantly warm, and soaking half-body style felt great. Dinner was kaiseki-style, and rice, miso soup, and tea were self-service. Honestly, it was helpful to be able to choose my own timing for rice and such—I even wished other inns would adopt this system. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you in advance when that time comes.

We stayed here with four generations of our family, including our elderly parents. The Room was spacious and very relaxing. Our grandchild loved the kids’ room and played to their heart’s content. The open-air bath in the sky had an amazing view and was wonderful. All the staff were kind, making it a great Accommodation. Thank you very much.

I was able to relax in a clean and spacious Room. Above all, the staff were kind and attentive wherever I went, which made my stay very pleasant. I also appreciated being able to adjust the portions of rice and miso soup myself. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful stay. The open-air bath was a very calming space, and we were able to relax while listening to the sound of water and insects. The shampoo was also comfortable and didn’t leave our hair feeling squeaky. The Ryokan itself was spacious and felt like a maze, making it fun to walk around as if exploring. The barley tea and apple rooibos tea after the bath were also a thoughtful touch. I hadn’t been reading much for quite some time, but using the “Kotoba no Atelier” inspired me to make time for reading again in my daily life after this stay. I also wrote a Tokitegami letter and had a lovely time. Breakfast was buffet-style and everything was delicious—especially the fruit punch. Before breakfast, I ground coffee beans for drip coffee, which was also excellent and made for a very fulfilling experience.

It was conveniently located close to Laguna Ten Bosch. We stayed in a Room with a private bath. The view was great, and the bath felt open and airy and was very clean—our children were delighted. The staff were very helpful, and the welcome services were also excellent. The meals were delicious, and the children’s menu was thoughtfully planned with good nutritional balance, which was wonderful. It was an Accommodation we would like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights, and the room was extremely comfortable. Since our goal was simply to relax and spend time in the room, we were very satisfied. The thoughtful touches throughout made a real difference, and even my 100-year-old grandmother was able to rest and enjoy her time comfortably.

The dinosaur right at the entrance was impressive—I'm an adult, but it was a little scary and also fun. The Room was clean, the bed was spacious, and I slept well. It was also nice that the bathroom and toilet were separate. However, the showerhead was unusual and difficult to use. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay at the Accommodation.

We stayed here for a hot spring trip with my parents for the first time in a while. Overall, we were very satisfied. By coincidence, my father said he had stayed here over 50 years ago on a company banquet trip, and it brought back fond memories. The facilities are old, but they are well maintained and it didn’t bother us. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the portions were generous—we were full. The only disappointment was that the sashimi was a little dry, perhaps because it had been plated in advance. We were mostly satisfied with the room. A few things we noticed: There was a cigarette smell in the hallway right after entering through the door (maybe there are smoking rooms?), but we got used to it quickly and there was no noticeable smell inside the room. There wasn’t a trash bin in the room itself—only one by the sink. We would like to visit again if we have another opportunity.

I was looking for a Ryokan with an Onsen within two hours from home. I could enjoy the sea and the Onsen, and the meals were served as a kaiseki course rather than a buffet, so I was able to dine calmly and at a relaxed pace. All of the staff were very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. My grandchild and daughter who came with me were also very satisfied. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again.

As you drive up the winding mountain road with hairpin turns, you’ll eventually spot the Hotel at the top. With expectations rising for a great view… Once inside, the large lobby windows more than delivered, offering a breathtaking panoramic view over Mikawa Bay. In the Japanese-style Room, two beds had been set up—an appreciated touch for us as an older couple. Of course, the view from the Room was spectacular as well. The large public bath had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath at just the right temperature, and it felt wonderful. I wanted to stay in forever, so I cooled off now and then by splashing lukewarm water or cold water on myself to avoid overheating before soaking again. (Laughs) Dinner featured Aichi beef sukiyaki and abalone steak. Both were so delicious I wished I could have eaten more—but after finishing everything served, I realized it was actually the perfect amount. These days buffets are common and I often end up overeating, so having table service in a restaurant like this felt calm and healthy. Okazaki Castle is also about an hour’s drive from the Hotel, and I was happy to be able to reflect on Tokugawa Ieyasu’s legacy there. Within the castle grounds, Mikawa Bushi no Yakata: Ieyasu Museum is thoughtfully designed with well-planned exhibits—I’d love to visit again at a slower pace.

The staff were very pleasant, and overall we were very satisfied. I was a bit concerned about some dark staining around the sinks in the large public bath changing area (it seemed clean and well maintained, though). My grandchild wanted to play table tennis, but it was only available until 9:00 p.m., so we couldn’t, which was disappointing.

Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes and was delicious overall, so the meals were excellent. The room was spacious and satisfying; however, there was a slight lingering smell of dog urine, which may be unavoidable. The dog run was not crowded, which was great.

I was able to relax in a Room with a different atmosphere than usual. It was my first Multiple Night Stay, and this Hotel provides daily cleaning, so I stayed very comfortably. At other Hotels, cleaning during a Multiple Night Stay wasn’t done unless I requested it, so this felt refreshing. However, since I couldn’t leave my belongings out, I needed to put everything back into my bag each time (though it’s just putting them away).

The price, service, and facilities were all very satisfying. We visited with our 3-year-old son and used the private bath for 45 minutes, which offered an amazing view. It made us strongly want to visit again. The room we stayed in did not have a bath or shower, and some amenities were paid as mentioned beforehand, so we had no complaints during our stay. The service was excellent, and we are very happy to have found such a great accommodation.

The hospitality was exceptional. Transportation from the station to the accommodation can often be a concern, but the shuttle service was thoughtfully arranged both upon arrival and departure. The room at the ryokan was exactly as shown in the photos—absolutely wonderful—and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing bath. The futon was comfortable, allowing for a restful night's sleep, and the view from the room was truly breathtaking. Additionally, the meals were incredibly delicious, made with freshly sourced ingredients. The staff at the ryokan were warm and welcoming, creating a very pleasant atmosphere that made my stay delightful. Their attentive service added an extra touch of warmth to my experience. I look forward to staying here again when visiting this area in the future!
