From the moment we arrived, the staff’s courteous service made us look forward to a wonderful stay. The Room felt open and airy, with lush greenery visible through large windows, and the layout was thoughtfully designed for ease of use. The very spacious semi-open-air bath was at just the right temperature, so we ended up soaking for a long time; perhaps thanks to the spring quality as well, we felt warmed through to our core. The meals used a wide variety of ingredients, were clearly explained, and offered delicious dishes with plenty of variety. Given our age, there was more than enough in both quantity and quality without ordering anything extra, and we were very satisfied. Because it is not a large Accommodation, getting around was easy and stress-free without any chance of getting lost, which we also appreciated. Even at departure they took great care in seeing us off—an Accommodation that left us with a pleasant afterglow. The total cost can vary widely depending on food and drinks (wine), but this time we felt it was an excellent value for money. We have one more favorite Accommodation in Hakone now.

The Room, room service, meals, and Onsen were all truly wonderful—we were completely satisfied with our stay! Thank you very much to all the staff. The pajama fabric was soft and very comfortable to wear, so I bought a set as a souvenir. I’d love to come back again as a treat for myself.

Everything—from the cuisine and the Onsen to the private dining room prepared for our meals—was wonderful, and we were able to truly relax from the bottom of our hearts. The food in particular was exceptional; each dish reflected careful craftsmanship, leaving us deeply satisfied. Above all, the Onsen was truly outstanding, and we enjoyed it three times during our stay. The water felt wonderfully gentle on the skin, bringing a soothing warmth that seemed to melt away tension from deep within. We were able to fully savor the blessings of Yugawara’s hot springs. The comforting afterglow lingered long after bathing—it was a genuinely healing experience. Thanks to you, this became a very memorable stay. We would love to visit again.

We visited with our 3-month-old baby. As it was our first trip with a child, we were anxious at first, but thanks to the warm hospitality and flexible support, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We had made a Reservation for a dinner course at the restaurant, and I was worried that if our baby cried it might disturb other guests. The staff continued to reassure me with thoughtful words, and I was especially impressed by how quickly they arranged to change the latter part of the meal to room service. I’m truly grateful to the kind female staff member who took care of us at dinner! Because of this heartfelt service, we decided to make our next Reservation with a Hyatt property as well. We usually travel as a couple a few times a year, mainly to Hakone, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as wonderful as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in time, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From the lovely commemorative photos for our celebration to the heartfelt message card with a photo, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are genuinely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was outstanding, and we were able to spend a truly relaxing time. Our assigned staff member was incredibly kind and always smiling; we enjoyed chatting with them, and our whole family was impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details. The guidance around the property—like a paradise far removed from everyday life—was also thorough and considerate, and everyone we met greeted us with warm smiles that put us at ease. The Room was very spacious and kept beautifully clean. The bed was also ideal for us—comfortable without sinking in or feeling overly soft. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations; I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, there was a private open-air Onsen bath exclusively for our Room with free-flowing water from 100% natural source spring water—no added water or heating—from the rare Dogashima Onsen source said to be “legendary,” so we could enjoy an Onsen soak anytime we liked. In addition, there is an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, which allowed our family to enjoy many different experiences together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care and full of creative ideas from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. In my experience so far, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

The bar counter was wonderful, and we enjoyed many cocktails. When we shared our preferences, the bartender created drinks on the spot, making it a truly enjoyable experience. The champagne brunch we had been looking forward to was a luxurious moment with breathtaking views. We were able to relax at the bar during café time and in the Onsen until the 2:00 PM check-out, making for a very satisfying stay. We would love to visit again.

We stayed for one night on July 4–5. This time, six of us (three couples in our 70s) stayed in three Rooms, each with a private open-air bath. To be honest, two of my friends’ husbands have never wanted to use large public baths on our past trips. So this time we splurged on Rooms with open-air baths—and those husbands were thrilled and apparently bathed many times. Everyone agreed it was excellent. The front desk staff were polite and clear, and the foreign staff member who assisted with meals spoke Japanese very well. We even had a bit of personal conversation, and they answered earnestly, making mealtime very enjoyable. Of course, the food itself was also outstanding: many small dishes and a wide variety of carefully prepared items—again, everyone was completely satisfied. At checkout we passed several housekeeping staff members, and every one of them greeted us properly, so we left feeling great. It was quiet, with only the sound of the nearby river; I almost fell asleep in the open-air bath. The price didn’t feel expensive at all. This turned into a long Review, but there’s no doubt we’ll want to come again.

The Room had a private Onsen with an amazing view, and being able to soak in it again and again was truly soothing. My wife and I also had a wonderful time together. Thank you very much for your courteous, kind service, including the teppanyaki dishes we ordered additionally. Reservations are rarely available, but if possible, we would love to stay at this Accommodation again.

My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

This was our fifth stay. The service from the international staff during meals was excellent. Their Japanese was very good, and they spoke clearly, which made it easy for us seniors to understand. The portion sizes were just right, and the dashi broth was outstanding. We will be back again.

This was my first stay in Yugawara Onsen. The water is quite hot, which I personally like. The dishes were beautifully plated and a delight to look at as well. We were also very grateful to the staff who assisted us during meals—they were always smiling and very attentive. This isn’t specific to this Hotel, but regarding children’s meals: when we choose Child Sharing Existing Bedding and order only the meal, most places serve something like a kids’ set. Even if it’s paid, we would really appreciate having the option to choose just rice and miso soup. Our 2-year-old was kindly provided rice and miso soup free of charge. For our 5-year-old, we felt it wouldn’t be right not to order a meal, so we did—but we would be very thankful if there were options to choose from. I don’t want to end up finishing what my child leaves behind instead of enjoying the wonderful food myself—an admittedly selfish request. The dried horse mackerel at breakfast was absolutely delicious. We look forward to staying again when we visit Yugawara.

Although our stay was short, the Facility had a wonderful atmosphere and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. The next morning, we enjoyed the Onsen and sauna—it felt great, and both body and mind were refreshed. Since we arrived just before midnight (24:00), it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t use the Onsen that day. Next time, I’d like to arrive a little earlier and take more time to enjoy the Facility as well. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you!

There were many types of open-air baths and the views were wonderful, and I was also able to use the baths at Hotel Okada, which made my stay very satisfying. The amenities were well stocked, and it truly felt like everything was taken care of. There were also plenty of entertainment areas such as a manga corner and a game corner, and I felt that no matter how much time I had, it wouldn’t be enough. The meals were also very elaborate, with both presentation and taste being excellent. Shishito peppers were used in the seasonal green vegetable tempura, and they were quite spicy so I struggled to finish them on their own, but everything else was delicious. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room on the 3rd floor. The view from the window felt open and expansive, with mountain ranges and the townscape below.

We chose this place because it was all-inclusive, and both the baths and the service were excellent. In particular, as someone in the same industry, I was truly impressed by the attentiveness and consideration shown by the Nepalese staff in the dining area. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Unlimited drinks from check-in to check-out was more than I could ask for as a beer lover—I enjoyed plenty. The open-air bath wasn’t too hot and felt great! We’d love to come back again! Thank you very much!

I usually stay at health insurance association retreats or Tokyo ward-run resorts (paying the non-resident rate), but this place was available for about the same price, so I decided to try it. Since it was a weekday, only a few cars were in the parking lot, and it felt spacious and comfortable. In the lobby, there is a coffee machine that guests can use freely. The Room had been nicely renovated, was well cleaned, and provided a relaxing environment. There are three bathing areas that rotate between men and women by time slot. Perhaps out of consideration for nearby buildings, the women’s open-air bath is scheduled from nighttime to early morning, which felt reassuring. Compared with typical retreat facilities, the meals were far more upscale—generous portions and very tasty. The self-serve soy sauce soft-serve dessert is outstanding. Laying out futons in the Japanese-style Room is self-service, but if you don’t mind that, it offers great value for money. The staff were also polite and pleasant throughout. I’d like to stay again soon.

Because I expected to check in late at night for work, I chose this Hotel for its large public bath hours—open until 2:00 a.m., with a sauna—which are much longer than those at nearby Business Hotels. The building feels a bit dated in places, but it was acceptable. I also liked the comfortable two-piece loungewear instead of a yukata. It’s right after you exit the interchange, so it’s truly convenient—I’d like to stay again.

I visited in search of an Onsen that is not chlorinated and does not use circulation. As expected, there was no chlorine smell, and the water was gentle and very satisfying. The meals were carefully prepared and truly delicious—I left completely full. The building is old, which can’t be helped, but the excellent hot spring water and food more than made up for it, so overall I was very satisfied. One episode that left a strong impression: After checkout, the attendant came to see us off at the entrance. After saying goodbye, we headed to the parking lot a short distance away (it took us some time to finish packing). When we later drove past the entrance, we realized she had been waiting in the heat just to see us off! She kindly stayed until the very end, and I was deeply touched by her warm hospitality. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We truly appreciate it. I would love to visit again.

At the very end of summer vacation, my husband and son insisted on coming here for glamping. As a woman, I was honestly a bit nervous about the Facility and meals—but it was simply the best. 【Check-in】 They explained the Facility to us. At the marché, there were vibrant vegetables and even seafood in a large tank! Some items are free, and others can be exchanged with coins you receive—choosing what to get was so exciting. We booked a Plan with dinner and breakfast included, but the portions were incredible. Even my big-eating husband and son had more than enough with what was included in the Plan! (Any unused coins could be saved for Shizuoka souvenirs or even kept for our next stay.) In the firewood area, there were many different types of wood. The Room already has firewood for cooking, but here you can choose wood to enjoy different sounds and aromas. 【Room】 It felt spotless, and we had no worries about odors or temperature. There are two BBQ areas—one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor side (with an earthen-floor style space) has a kitchen and a large ventilation duct, plus air conditioning, so smoke doesn’t come into the living area. The Room was extremely clean and beautiful. I expected some bugs or smells with glamping—and heat in summer—but it was surprisingly comfortable. There’s a double-sink vanity, two types of hair dryers (including a Repronizer), and even hair irons provided. In addition to pajamas, they also provide samue loungewear for dinner (for both adults and children), so there’s no need to take home clothes that smell like food. 【Onsen & Sauna】 There is an Onsen connected directly to both indoor and outdoor baths, plus a barrel sauna and an impressive cold plunge pool. Ponchos and hats are also available. The bedroom is separated from the bath/changing area/vanity area, so it works well even for two families traveling together. 【Meals】 The commercial refrigerator was stocked with juices, alcoholic drinks, and ice cream! With stylish camping gear like skillets and mess tins—along with ingredients & recipes—our 10-year-old son enthusiastically cooked for us. The thick Shizuoka beef was so tender you barely needed teeth… even the abalone was truly soft! For breakfast you can choose Japanese or Western style; either way it was delicious and satisfying. All of the staff were very kind. We enjoyed luxury-Hotel-level comfort while still experiencing the freedom that makes glamping special. We’ll definitely be back when the season changes!

I stayed with my dog. It was very quiet and relaxing. The room was a Japanese-Western style room, spacious, and the tatami room was elegant and clean, so I hesitated to let my pet in and kept my dog only in the living area. Since my dog is small, it was more than enough. I felt that having only two pee pads might be a bit insufficient, but since it was just one night, it was fine. The Onsen I had been looking forward to had three washing stations (women’s), and the indoor bath was small. Instead, I enjoyed the large open-air bath where you can really feel the negative ions. It said Gora Onsen, but there was a slight chlorine smell, which was disappointing. Since it doesn’t seem to be free-flowing spring water, I guess that can’t be helped. Breakfast didn’t have a huge variety, but it was a well-balanced buffet with just-right seasoning. It was delicious! An 11:00 check-out is great because you can take your time. I’d love to stay again.

It exceeded my expectations. The meals were delicious, and the baths were operated on a private-use rotation at all three locations that day, so I was able to enjoy a relaxing Onsen and spend a truly luxurious time. The staff were also very pleasant.
