A quiet, adults-only Accommodation. With only a few Rooms, the large public bath felt almost private, and I was able to relax at my own pace. As this Accommodation is known for its cuisine, every dish was carefully prepared, and I enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The rice was also delicious—I couldn’t help having seconds. The proprietress and everyone else were so kind that even traveling alone felt soothing. I’d love to visit again.

This was our second stay at Sekiyo. We were upgraded from Taikan and were able to stay in Kangetsuan. It was our first time in a detached guest room, and it was very quiet. From time to time, small birds came to the tree by the window, and my spouse and I were able to relax at a leisurely pace. We also fully enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The meals were wonderful—there were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, and everything was delicious. The attentive service from the room attendant was excellent as well, and we would love to visit Sekiyo again.

We traveled with our 3-month-old baby. With breakfast and dinner served in the Room and a private bath, we were able to relax and take our time. The staff kindly laid out the futons early and spoke to us gently, and their warm hospitality was truly comforting. The meals at the restaurant were excellent—we even had seconds of rice. Both the Room and the garden were beautifully maintained, making our stay very pleasant. We had wondered if it would be an issue without an open-air bath, but the in-Room bath was more than enough for us to enjoy.

Surrender to a serene space and listen to the sounds of the gorge as time passes quietly. The in-room Onsen, kept at a gentle temperature, invites you to soak slowly as body and mind unwind. This timeworn wooden building lives on, its age transformed into beauty. Every corner of the Accommodation is carefully maintained, and its presence carries unmistakable elegance. And then—clear dashi broth, the richness of local fish, and the fragrance of matsutake mushrooms. Each ingredient’s character is brought out with care, with thoughtful attention to layered flavors, lingering finishes, and the flow of each kaiseki course. An Accommodation where you can come close to the essence of beauty.

The Onsen, the food, the service, and the Room were all beyond our expectations, and we were able to truly relax. It had been a while since we stayed in a Japanese-style room; lying on the tatami and gazing at the garden, we enjoyed the luxury of doing absolutely nothing. The only disappointment was that while the private bath has a wonderful ocean view, there is an apartment building directly in front of it, and I was quite concerned that the washing area might be visible from there.

This is my favorite Accommodation, and I’ve returned many times. This time, I stayed in the Geihinkan “Hanafuki” Room and was truly soothed by the spacious, luxurious setting. The view of the waterfall flowing right in front of the Room was especially memorable, and I could relax at a leisurely pace while listening to the gentle sound of the river. The double-sink vanity was very convenient, and it was also a great touch that I could step straight from the bedroom to the private open-air Onsen bath in the Room. Being able to enjoy Onsen whenever I like without any hesitation feels wonderfully indulgent. Because the bedroom and dining Room are separate, there’s no need for futon setup or takedown, so I could stay comfortable and relaxed throughout my entire stay. Meals were served in-room, which I loved—hot dishes arrived piping hot, and cold dishes stayed perfectly chilled, letting me enjoy everything at its freshest. The seasonal tableware and menu were delicious and beautifully presented, making each meal something I look forward to every time. The tea prepared during meals was also excellent and truly calming. I also appreciated all the complimentary services—from free drinks in the in-room refrigerator to drinks and ice cream in the lounge. It was especially nice that towels are provided at the large public bath so there’s no need to bring them from your Room. The large public bath itself is very comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. Above all, every staff member offers such warm hospitality and attentive care. Once again, this stay left me feeling deeply refreshed as I enjoyed a comfortable yet luxurious time. It’s an Accommodation that makes me think “I want to come back” every single visit—I truly love it. I will definitely return again.

I gave my elderly mother, who can go anywhere on her own, a solo trip as a gift. When she returned home, she was truly delighted and spoke very highly of the wonderful service provided by the Ryokan staff. The meals were also delicious, and above all, it seems she was able to relax completely. Thank you very much. We traveled with our 8-month-old baby, and it was very reassuring to find everything we needed, including a formula kettle, water for preparing formula, and baby wipes. They also washed our bottles and spoons, adjusted mealtime for baby food, warmed it up for us, and were considerate in so many ways—it was a huge help. The room was spacious and spotless, and we really enjoyed the delicious baby meals as well as the in-room dining. Our assigned staff member was especially thoughtful; our baby got fussy during meals so dinner took longer than usual, but they adjusted their voice volume and the timing of serving dishes to accommodate us. Every staff member spoke kindly to our baby and frequently checked if we needed anything, which we truly appreciated. We were able to relax in the hot springs as a family and enjoy wonderful food—overall it was a fantastic trip. Thank you very much.

I have been staying here for some time, and recently I always stay for three nights. Each time, the property is quiet and thoroughly cleaned throughout. The wonderful, delicious meals were excellent, and both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spotless. The background music was also pleasant. The Room has two rooms with a veranda, and it was the perfect size for just my spouse and me. The staff’s service was also good.

We stayed for two nights, and on the second day we relaxed in our Room all day because of the typhoon. The meals had many dishes and tasted great, and we were able to take our time in the Onsen and truly feel refreshed. Everyone treated us kindly like family, which made us very happy. The luxury of being able to soak in the Onsen slowly whenever I wanted was exceptional—it felt so good that I wanted to go in again and again. Enjoying the open-air bath while taking in the surrounding garden and nature helped me forget everyday fatigue. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I could enjoy not only the flavors but also the presentation and sense of seasonality. The meal itself became one of the highlights of my trip—it was that satisfying. The overall atmosphere of this Ryokan is also wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing, and simply being inside made me feel naturally at ease. Everything is well maintained down to the smallest details, making it a perfect space for enjoying an escape from everyday life. Although it was a short stay of one night and two days, by checkout I felt surprisingly refreshed both physically and mentally—I was able to truly recover from my fatigue. This is a Ryokan where you can honestly think, “I want to stay here again.” If you are looking for Accommodation in Hakone, I highly recommend staying here at least once.

This was my second stay this year, and I visited with my mother. My mother is nearing her 88th birthday, but she still has a great appetite and finished everything, even having seconds from the rice tub. I visited long ago with my mother and grandmother as well, so I feel truly happy to have an Accommodation we can return to across three generations—my grandmother, my mother, and me. Unfortunately it rained this time, but thanks to that the signature stones and garden trees were gently wet, letting us enjoy a different kind of beautiful scenery than usual. Thank you again for your warm hospitality. I look forward to visiting again.

This was my first trip to Hakone, and I stayed at this Hotel. The phone support and the front desk service were both very pleasant. For dinner, we chose the French cuisine; the portions were just right, and everything—from the dishes to the dessert—was delicious. For breakfast, we had a Japanese meal, and the dishes made with plenty of local ingredients made for a wonderful start to the day. On our way back, it was raining and I was traveling with my elderly mother, so I waited in the lobby until the last minute for our mountain bus—and ended up missing it. The staff noticed we were in trouble right away and suggested several alternative options, which allowed us to catch our flight home safely. Thanks to your outstanding hospitality in every respect, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The only disappointment this time was the weather, but I would love to come back and try again. I will also recommend this Hotel to my friends. Thank you very much.

Although I have stayed at HIRAMATSU several times, HIRAMATSU Atami offered the most heartfelt hospitality.

Thank you always for your wonderful hospitality. While many Accommodations have changed before and after COVID, I can truly relax with peace of mind knowing the quality here is consistently the same whenever I visit. The cuisine delighted my eyes, satisfied my palate, and deeply moved me. The hot spring was excellent, and the Room was exceptionally comfortable. This time, for the first time, I encountered deer and wild boar and felt the mystical power of nature as well. Thank you for such a wonderful escape from everyday life. I look forward to visiting again.

The large public bath was on the smaller side, but the private open-air bath was too good to enjoy just once—I wanted to use it again and again. Next time, I’d like to book early from the start.

This Accommodation is packed with the best of a traditional Ryokan, and our whole family was delighted. We were amazed by how spacious the bath was, and the grandkids were excited about the jungle-like atmosphere. It was cherry blossom season, and everything was spectacular—flower mats, petals floating on the water, hazy blossom skies, swirling petal showers, even a “path of blossoms”! The kids were also surprised by the waterwheel. Thank you for a wonderful time we will always remember.

Located near Yugawara’s Manyo Park, the Hotel is a comfortable size and it was enjoyable to walk around inside. Dinner was a course meal served at the table, and the staff were efficient, allowing us to relax. It was great to enjoy both the open-air bath for Hotel guests and the one for general visitors. The front desk staff were also very courteous.

We chose this place because it was all-inclusive, and both the baths and the service were excellent. In particular, as someone in the same industry, I was truly impressed by the attentiveness and consideration shown by the Nepalese staff in the dining area. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Unlimited drinks from check-in to check-out was more than I could ask for as a beer lover—I enjoyed plenty. The open-air bath wasn’t too hot and felt great! We’d love to come back again! This was our first trip to Atami, and we stayed here as a couple. The staff were very helpful, and we were satisfied. Our Room was Japanese-style, and it was nice that it could be divided into separate spaces with sliding doors. We were a bit concerned that the toilet area had a step up. We were also happy with the view and had a very pleasant stay. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes and was delicious, and the breakfast buffet also had an excellent selection. Thank you very much.
