This was my first stay. With only three groups per day, it’s a private pet-friendly Accommodation with a gentle, welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine was excellent, as you’d expect from a Ryokan—especially the sesame tofu and soba. Meals were served in a private dining room. Our dog happily ate the dog pizza. We stayed in the “Kuu-chan” tatami Room on the first floor, which felt a bit too spacious, but it was comfortable with no odors. The bath was a private reservable bath assigned to each Room. Since we visited in August, it was too hot outside to do much. We heard bears may appear around places like Enakyo Gorge. One downside was that a belly band (manner belt) is required inside the Room.

This was my fourth stay. Although it was still early September—far from autumn—I was looking for a place where I could truly relax and enjoy delicious food. After searching around, I ended up coming back to Yuzuriha again. With only a small number of guest Rooms, it never feels crowded no matter when I visit. Check-in and check-out are handled calmly and unhurriedly, and above all, the staff’s kind service and warm smiles are so soothing. The building isn’t brand-new, but everything is spotless down to the smallest details. Every Room faces Ena Gorge, so there’s no sense of confinement—and even though I know what to expect each time, I still can’t help letting out a “wow” every time I open the door. I travel from Nagoya, and it’s easy to get here even without a car since you can use Meitetsu, JR, and buses. On the way back, if you use the Hotel’s Shuttle Service bus, you’ll arrive at Ena-shi Station in no time—so as long as you know the departure time, it’s completely stress-free. Even though I know how beautiful and delicious the meals will be every time, each dish that arrives still makes me sigh with admiration. The portions are generous enough to fully satisfy even men with big appetites. The chef’s careful and delicate work never lets up—all the way through dessert. The Onsen water has a slightly silky feel, and even after getting out of the bath my skin stays smooth for a long time. I’ve seen some Reviews saying it feels “light,” but for me it’s more than enough. The water isn’t too hot either; being able to soak for a long time while listening to birds and insects is wonderfully comfortable—I think it’s just the right balance. Honestly, it’s such a wonderful Accommodation that part of me wants to keep it secret—but because I want this level of satisfaction to continue in the future as well, I wrote this Review hoping that people who haven’t been here yet will experience it too. This is not an exaggeration: at this price point, Yuzuriha never disappoints. I’ll be back again—thank you in advance. P.S. They do their best to accommodate requests whenever possible, so if there’s anything on your mind, it may be worth asking them about it. Thank you always for providing such lovely Rooms. The price was very reasonable, and parking was free. We also appreciated that breakfast was included at no extra charge.

I chose this place because I wanted to do SUP. Dinner was a barbecue, and breakfast was a Japanese set meal with hoba miso. The bath and toilet were shared, but there was also a refrigerator, and best of all, there was an Onsen and the price was low! There wasn’t an electric kettle in the Room, but paper cups and hot water were provided in the hallway. What was disappointing was that there was no washing machine. I couldn’t wash my swimsuit after SUP, and since my trip continued the next day, I went to a coin laundry after heading into town. Since it’s also far from town, if you’re planning a Multiple Night Stay, I think it’s a good idea to bring a small portable washing machine.

This time, I stayed for the first time. There was information that the dinner was good, and I stayed with expectations, but I was very satisfied beyond what I imagined. The service was very good, and I had a pleasant stay. The bath and toilet washroom are shared, but even taking that into account, I would like to stay again next year.

Bathing time was by reservation. Therefore, I was able to use the large bath alone. I thought it was a measure against COVID-19, etc. They cleaned and disinfected before and after use. The toilet and washroom were shared, but there was no overlap. I stayed with breakfast only, but I enjoyed it in a private room. Everyone was very kind and it felt homely, which made me happy. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The staff were very kind and friendly, making the stay comfortable. I stayed for work purposes, but I was able to relax, refresh, and was extremely satisfied!
