I considered an Accommodation on the Nagara River because I wanted to show my daughter cormorant fishing. An Onsen Accommodation would have been nice, but we wanted a buffet-style meal, so we chose this Hotel. It was an extremely hot day, and the moment we stepped into the Hotel, the cool air revived us. As a Diamond member benefit, I was happy to receive a one-drink service in the first-floor lounge. The Room we were assigned was on a high floor with a great view, and it was spotless—truly impressive. The dinner buffet isn’t in a huge restaurant, but the quality of the dishes served was excellent, and we enjoyed everything. Drink prices were reasonable for a Hotel, and since it was before cormorant fishing, my daughter and I each enjoyed one drink. We used taxis for round-trip transportation to the cormorant fishing site, which made it very comfortable. Even though it was hot that day, there was a pleasant river breeze, and it helped us forget the daytime heat for a while. Because the river level was low, it seems they didn’t actually catch many ayu, but being able to see energetic cormorants up close made it a great experience. At breakfast, there were many inbound guests early on, but they cleared out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace. The well-known ayu rice porridge was delicious—I went back for seconds several times. The selection of dishes also reflected local flavors well, with various Gifu specialties, which I appreciated. For morning fruit there were oranges, pineapple, and lychees; I’d be happier if there were a few more options. I liked the selection at the shop as well. If I had one request, I would truly appreciate Shuttle Service from the station to the Hotel. As expected of an established Hotel with history behind it, my daughter and I enjoyed an elegant stay. I chose Juhachiro because I had always wanted to see the traditional cormorant fishing, and they offer a boarding Plan. After working up a sweat on a walk around Kawaramachi, I refreshed in the large public bath, then had dinner from 5:30 pm. We gathered in the lobby at 7:15 pm and were guided to the viewing boat. The pier was just outside via the Accommodation’s private passageway, and it was incredibly convenient to board casually in the Accommodation’s yukata and slippers. After the cormorant fishing ended a little after 8:30 pm and we returned to the Accommodation, I enjoyed another soak in the large public bath—making it an unforgettable day. I truly felt this was a luxurious cormorant-fishing Plan that only an established Accommodation with over 160 years of history could arrange. The Room was generously sized, with two semi-double beds and a large dining table, and above all, the view of the Nagara River flowing directly below was beyond my expectations. Dinner was served in a private room: local dishes full of flavor such as Hida beef hot pot, salt-grilled ayu sweetfish, and simmered eel. Breakfast also offered an impressive variety—almost like a lunch buffet—and I was completely satisfied. Also, towels are stocked in the large public bath so you can use it anytime without hassle, and at the lobby lounge you can enjoy drinks and ice pops until 9:00 pm—such generous hospitality made me very happy (the Nagara River Onsen original-blend iced tea was delicious like nothing I’d tried before). Inside the building were displays such as shikishi boards from title matches for shogi masters, sealed-move papers, panels on cormorant fishing, and historical timelines; exploring inside was enjoyable as well. This time my purpose was cormorant fishing, but once renovations to Gifu Castle’s main keep are complete, this is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again for that reason too.

I considered staying in the city of Gifu, but since parking was either multi-story or affiliated, I decided on a suburban accommodation. The hotel had entrances at both the front and back, which was convenient. However, it was difficult to locate using the car's navigation system. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay in a new and pleasant environment.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay accompanying my wife, who loves history, and this is a Hotel that was satisfying enough. The Room is small, but it’s well arranged with a stylish layout. The in-room bath is shower-only, but there is also a large public bath. There’s also a coin laundry, water dispenser, and ice machine... Breakfast doesn’t have a huge variety, but it’s sufficient. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

This was our second stay, and we were satisfied with everything—the staff’s hospitality, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the meals. Traveling with my elderly mother in the heat, we were able to take it easy and enjoy a relaxing stay at the Hotel. The Onsen also offered a soothing atmosphere, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to return again.

We stayed here while sightseeing at Inuyama Castle. Each person had their own bed, so we were able to rest our tired bodies comfortably. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of options and was delicious, so everyone was very satisfied.

It was a Room with an open-air bath, looking up at Gifu Castle and gazing down at the gentle flow of the Nagara River. We didn’t use the rooftop open-air bath or the large public bath—the in-Room open-air bath alone was more than enough. We also got to experience cormorant fishing, which made it feel truly special. Breakfast seemed to be Japanese-style only (?), but that was absolutely the right choice—it was delicious. It made me think, “I want to live in this Room!”

Although it was my first trip to Gifu and I arrived in the rain with a typhoon approaching, the Hotel was exactly as expected. The views between the Nagara River and Mt. Kinka—worthy of “Tenka Fubu”—along with the Onsen, meals, and wonderful hospitality were all excellent. Inside the Hotel, I even got to meet Nohime, making it an unforgettable trip. I would love to stay again.

The hospitality and service were excellent. Both the bath and the Room were spacious, so we could relax. It would have been nice to have amenities for women. It’s close to the Nagara River, and we were able to fully enjoy hot Gifu. Both the cormorant fishing and the fireworks were wonderful. Thank you very much.

The large public bath on the first floor is a highlight. Each Room has a unit bath, but I have never used it. The public bath is also available at night and in the morning. The breakfast buffet in the morning is not very good—please consider it a bonus.

The Hotel had a calm, modern Japanese-style atmosphere throughout. The view from the window was beautiful, overlooking the Nagara River and Gifu Castle. The scenery from the large public bath on the 8th floor was also spectacular. I really enjoyed breakfast, with fun and delicious options like comparing different types of rice and making my own furikake seasoning. For dinner, I chose in-Room dining, so I could eat at a relaxed pace. The only disappointment was that the tempura in the Shokado bento had gone cold, but that’s understandable for a boxed meal. All of the staff were polite, and I had a wonderful stay.

I’m a repeat guest. The location is great, and it’s excellent value to get a solid breakfast at this price. The Room is also comfortable and easy to spend time in.

I was in Gifu for work, and since I had a late return and an early start the next day, I stayed here. If I’d gone all the way home, I would have only been able to sleep for four hours. Even though the price is the same whether you stay alone or with two people, it was cheaper than nearby business hotels, which I really appreciated. I don’t like places that are too flashy, so I thought “as long as I can rest…”—and the Room was clean and simple. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the bed was wide and fluffy, so I slept very comfortably. The only disappointing thing was that it rained. I had planned to climb a mountain the next morning—that was one reason I stayed here. Still, since I was tired, it might have been for the best. If a similar situation comes up again, I’ll use this place again. It also seems like a good option for staying the night before traversing the Kakamigahara Alps!

At check-out in the morning, we received permission to leave our car in the parking lot while we explored Inuyama Castle and the castle town, so we walked to Inuyama Castle. It took about 15 minutes on foot, enjoying a stroll through the castle town along the way. The Accommodation rate is affordable, and the parking lot is spacious and free. We ate out, but it was convenient because there are many restaurants near Meitetsu Inuyama Station just nearby.

Since it was a short trip nearby, we hadn’t planned much, but the staff recommended places to visit and we were able to enjoy sightseeing in the area. The Room, renovated from an old merchant house, still had a slightly aged feel, but it felt fresh and unique. The meals were all carefully prepared dishes, and we were very satisfied. All of the staff provided thoughtful service that anticipated our needs, which made our stay very comfortable.

While looking for a Hotel near Inuyama, I found a great Hotel at an affordable price. Breakfast was included, and you won’t find that price elsewhere. The breakfast selection was good, and I left feeling full. The room was spacious, the interior was clean, and I could relax comfortably. Free parking is also a nice perk. It’s conveniently located for sightseeing around Inuyama Castle and even close to Gifu Castle, so I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you very much.

The Onsen is mild, silky-smooth, and very relaxing. The Kiso River cormorant fishing season had also begun, and we could see it right in front of the Hotel. Both my friends and I were truly impressed. The Hotel staff were kind and took great care of us.

It was very convenient that it’s only a 3-minute walk from Inuyama-Yuen Station. The area around the station and the Hotel was very quiet, and it was a wonderful setting—you can walk to the castle while enjoying the magnificent view of the Kiso River. I was also impressed to be able to see Inuyama Castle from my Room, and the male front desk staff member was kind and helpful, so I’d like to stay here again. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, but it’s not a problem if you go to nearby Inuyama Station—Inuyamakan is highly recommended!
