The surroundings were wonderful, and this has become a Hotel we’d love to stay at again. The walking paths were lovely, and our dog looked like they really enjoyed the walks. There’s also an animal hospital nearby, which was reassuring. We’ll be back. It rained on the day we left this time, so next time we hope to visit when it’s sunny… There also seem to be some great shops nearby, so we’d like to explore them.

The hospitality and the restaurant cuisine were outstanding in every respect. Their attentive, courteous communication before our stay left a strong impression, and on the day of our visit, everyone—from the seasoned staff to the younger team members—provided genuinely pleasant service. If you want a reliably excellent experience in Karuizawa, HIRAMATSU is without doubt the place to choose.

I chose this Hotel because I wanted my elderly father, who has trouble walking, to enjoy an Onsen, and the Room had a private Onsen. When I mentioned that he struggles with steps, they kindly took photos and sent them to us, so we were able to visit with peace of mind. The Onsen is small but open-air, and it felt wonderful. He was truly happy to be able to soak in an Onsen again after a long time. Every dish was delicious, and there was more than we could finish—we were very satisfied. Above all, every staff member was extremely kind, and we had a very comfortable stay. It’s also convenient because there is Shuttle Service from the station. We would definitely like to visit again.

Although it rained, we still had a truly wonderful time as a family—it didn’t bother us at all. The Facility was very quiet and relaxing, a special place where you can forget everyday life and unwind. Everything we needed was well provided, and our stay was very comfortable. The staff were also genuinely pleasant, and we really appreciated their thoughtful, unobtrusive care. The restaurant we used during our stay was excellent as well! The food was truly delicious and became one of the highlights of our trip. As parents, we were so happy to see our children enjoying every bite. There is also a convenience store nearby, which is handy for quick shopping. Since it rained this time, we’d love to visit again in a season with nicer weather. On the way home, our whole family kept saying, “Let’s come back.” Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax in Karuizawa!

While looking for an Accommodation where we could stay with our dog, we discovered “Wa no Ie” and stayed there as a family. Pet-friendly Hotels are surprisingly easy to find, but since we were going to Karuizawa, we wanted a place that truly felt luxurious and where we could enjoy time with our pet both indoors and outdoors. That’s when we found Wa no Ie—an outstanding piece of architecture surrounded by nature—and after seeing the photos, we decided almost immediately. When we arrived, the sense of unity between the building and the natural surroundings was even more impressive than in the pictures. The greenery visible through the windows and the light streaming in made it an incredibly comfortable space. Because we were traveling with a child and a dog, our only concern was the number of stairs. However, before our stay they had already set up baby gates in advance, so both our dog and child could relax safely without any worry of falling. We really appreciated this thoughtful attention to detail. The interior was spotless, and the area around it was truly quiet. Personally, I loved feeling removed from city noise—almost as if it were just us alone in the forest. In the morning, I woke up naturally with sunlight and found myself thinking, “How long has it been since I last woke up like this?” My wife and child baked sweets and played games while our dog relaxed with us—it’s a place where you end up wanting to enjoy simply spending time there rather than going out sightseeing. If possible, I honestly wished we could have stayed for several more days—living there while working remotely. It’s rare to find an entire-home rental that offers all three: nature, luxury, and an environment where you can stay together with your pet. We would absolutely love to stay here again whenever we visit Karuizawa. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

I was a bit worried after reading the Reviews, but it turned out to be a great value Hotel. The building is old, but it was well cleaned, and the view from the window was nice. In the lounge, you can enjoy coffee and house wine, and dinner was a set course meal. It’s simple French cuisine, but I felt it was very reasonably priced to have meals included at this rate (it may have been an especially good Plan by chance). Since I stayed for work, this Hotel offered excellent satisfaction for the price. Of course, I wouldn’t really recommend it to those looking for a luxury Hotel, but I highly recommend it for groups of friends or families who want a good-value stay. I’d love to stay again.

We stayed with three family members and our dog. The building nestled in fresh greenery was truly beautiful, and the extraordinary Room space was amazing! At night, we dimmed the lights, played jazz, enjoyed some drinks, and relaxed at our own pace. Our daughter also played the lovely piano for us—it was such a luxurious time. There were Jenga and playing cards provided, and it was surprisingly fun to play them in such a unique setting! The morning bath surrounded by greenery was also wonderful—every moment was truly special. Our daughter was thrilled and said she wants to stay here again next time we come to Karuizawa, and we had a fantastic time overall. Thank you as well to the staff for being so friendly and kind!

We stayed here for my husband’s birthday trip and also requested a birthday cake. Throughout our stay, we felt the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, and it was a Hotel we would love to return to. We were also grateful to be upgraded to a higher-grade Room free of charge—every service was truly appreciated. The calm atmosphere allowed us to relax and enjoy our time. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay, the first in two years. Just like last time, the place was thoroughly cleaned and we had a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the Tsuruya apple juice (I believe it was a repeat-guest perk). What we love most about this Accommodation is the great location and how comfortable it is not only for people but also for dogs. The fenced yard covered with wood chips can be used as a private dog run, so we could skip walks when needed—easy for us, and our dog looked like they were having a great time too. The only inconvenience is that there are no amenities such as a skincare/lotion set, but we knew this in advance from the Accommodation information and brought our own, so it wasn’t an issue at all. Please keep this in mind if you plan to stay here. There were two hair dryers provided, which was great since our two teenage children could use them at the same time. The foot bath was also wonderful. Soaking our feet after waking up while drinking the provided drip coffee felt like forest bathing and was truly relaxing. Contactless check-in and check-out were easy and very convenient. Because everything is contactless, we didn’t meet any staff in person, but everything was well prepared for a comfortable stay—thank you very much.

The rooms, terrace, and BBQ area were all very clean, and it was a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail. The grill we reserved in advance was perfectly prepared, and there was a great selection of insect repellent items, dog supplies, indoor games, and welcome drinks—our whole family was more than satisfied. This was my first time staying with SANU! Karuizawa 1st is a quiet place surrounded by nature, and from the moment I arrived, the crisp, clear air immediately put me at ease. The Room is spacious and relaxing, with plenty of natural light through the large windows and beautiful views outside. Time felt like it slowed down, and I was able to forget the busyness of everyday life and truly recharge. I relaxed so much that I didn’t even make time for a campfire, so I’d love to come back again... haha

We used this place for a summer getaway and a workcation. Miyota is less crowded than Karuizawa, with Tsuruya nearby and the station within walking distance, which was very convenient. It’s an ordinary local town with few tourist attractions around, so it doesn’t really feel like a resort. The property is spacious, well equipped with amenities, and suitable for self-catering. It was much cooler than Tokyo, and we were able to spend our time quietly. Since it’s a regular house along a main road, it’s best not to expect the atmosphere of a lodge or villa surrounded by nature.

I visited “Haretara Iine” on a friend’s recommendation. It had a warm, homey atmosphere, and the owner and staff were cheerful and friendly, taking the time to speak with each guest. The meals were excellent, with plenty of local vegetables—beautifully presented and delicious. The bath was spacious as well, and it really helped me relax. Thank you very much.

Dogs can take a relaxing stroll in the spacious garden. It was reassuring to be able to keep an eye on them, and we also enjoyed the setup where they could feel like they were having a bath. On top of that, dogs stay for free—truly appreciated. The bedding was very comfortable, and the kitchen with a view of the TV was spotless; everything was so clean that we’d love to come again. I almost don’t want it to become too popular after posting this, but it’s an Accommodation I highly recommend. We had no trouble shopping nearby either.

A luxurious experience surrounded by vintage furniture in a spacious Room. Even though it was midsummer and hot outside, the temperature inside was comfortable with low humidity despite the absence of air conditioning, which was truly impressive. The fresh and clear air made the stay incredibly pleasant. It was an amazing opportunity to experience living in an ideal Room like this.

We visited with our 4-year-old and 0-year-old children. The baby stayed in a living room baby playpen (brought from home), while the 4-year-old had a blast in the pool all day. From the terrace chairs, we could see both children, making it a relaxing and well-thought-out design! The standard amenities were plentiful and comfortable, but there were also many child-friendly items, which was very helpful. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our visit. However, unexpectedly, one-third of the pool had an adjustable roof that allowed us to enjoy it even in the rain! (→ This feature is so convenient that you should promote it more on your website!) If I may suggest one improvement: having foldable tarps or parasols available for rent (even for a fee) would allow for more covered areas over the pool and make visits less weather-dependent. Overall, this accommodation is highly recommended for families with children!

Thank you very much for your hospitality! I usually stay at a hotel when visiting Karuizawa, so this was my first experience staying in a vacation rental. However, it was not inconvenient at all and very enjoyable. The kitchen utensils were plentiful, and we had fun cooking vegetables and meat purchased from Hotsuchi Ichiba. The amenities were great overall; the bath towels and face towels were fluffy and comfortable to use. However, it was slightly disappointing that some towel fibers stuck to my face and body after use. Still, I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

Our family stayed here for two nights in August. It was our first time at an Accommodation with self check-in, so we were a bit nervous, but we received thorough support via SMS a few days before and again the day prior, which made us feel at ease. On the day, we entered by keying the passcode into the lock on the front door, and check-in was easy using the tablet inside! Perhaps because it’s still a new Facility, everything was very clean—and it felt more spacious than we expected, which surprised us. The kids immediately explored and found the loft; they played up there nonstop. The adults took a breather and then started preparing for a BBQ. We picked up some great-looking meat from the butcher right in front (we later learned it’s a well-known shop). With perfect weather, we enjoyed a family BBQ while watching the sunset. It became our best memory of this summer! The amenities were also excellent—high-end products like those used in salons—so my wife was especially happy. This may become everyone’s favorite Accommodation! We also requested breakfast bread vouchers; it seems to be a popular local bakery as well, and it was busy from early morning. We were very satisfied eating delicious bread on the deck while enjoying the view as a family. Next year, we’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay with an extra day or so. I felt so relaxed that I wished I could have stayed longer. It was a shame I could only stay for one night. The amenities were fully equipped and very comfortable. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

I was planning to stay at a Hotel, but it was fully booked, so I made a Reservation here at the last minute. It was a cute and clean cottage. I could stay with my pet as well, and it was very affordable—I was very satisfied. Thank you very much. However, one fewer person ended up staying, and I emailed the cottage about it, but the payment remained based on the original Reservation. Since it was so inexpensive, I guess it couldn’t be helped.
